Aaaaaaand we're back! Bringing in the numbers that you've all been waiting for, he results for the November CCOS results are in!

But as is the custom be sure to give a good bit of thanks and appreciation to cool people who hunkered down and read through all 21 concepts and gave you those scores!

DarkFoxes and The Djinn!

Not only did they get to every concept but they did so when even I couldn't! I unfortunately was not immune to finals week this semester and could not get to every one of the concepts in time. (I left my feedback up to the ones I did manage to get to.)

But anyway, this month's results is the first of many to use the grand spanking new v2 format! And as such the scoresheets are going to be a bit more complicated than last time. There'll be instructions on that a little farther down....but first!

#The winner of the November CCOS is......

#Artheis, The Blessed Archer by Auryiel at 177/200 points (88.5%), Congratulations!!

#Runner ups

|Place|Concept|Author|Score| |- | 2 | Elorin, The Pale Lady | Fury and Emporer | 166/200 (83%) | | 3 | Yuka, The Blade Dancer | Raxistaicho | 153/200 (76.5%) | | 4 | Maria, The Restless Dancer | DayVigilante | 149/200 (74.5%) | | 5 | Safien, Guardian of the Damned | Dis the Chris | 146/200 (73.0%) |

#Looking up your score

Step 1) Open up the nexus score sheet HERE (Give a little time to load once you're in) Step 2) If wanted check out the 'Overview' Tab (the one you enter on) to see your score compared to the others. Step 3) Find your concept name in a tab below (you may need to hit the right arrow on the bottom right a few times. Step 4) Look around at the feedback and scores given on your concept

  • NOTE 1: Due to technical limitations I was not able to give the judges per-category feedback, so all of their overall feedback is the 'lore' section. But it will be ready and available for December!
  • NOTE 2: The 'Structured Feedback' column is automatically formatting based on your average category score and where that landed you in the rubric. The Rubric will be updated regularly with community input
  • NOTE 3: Just to reiterate, I was a judge, but I was not able to get to all the concepts this month, and for that I apologize. However I did leave the feedback I did get to in the sheet anyway.

#CCOS Updates!

If you missed this post earlier in the week, you may not know that tis month is smack dab in the middle of me updating the entirity of the CCOS back-end (and most of the front-end at this point). More details can be found in the linked post but one of the biggest take-aways is that the CCOS scoring style will be changing in January (note: NOT December) to this:

|---Wt---|----------Category----------|---------------------------------Description-----------------------------------| |- | 20 | Lore| The overall feel and description of your champion as a personality. | | 25 | Flow/Fun | How a character's abilities/kit feel to play with as well as against. | | 20 | Design Implementation | How well your champion's kit fulfills its goal. (i.e. Assassins assassinating, tanks tanking, etc.)| | 20 | Novelty | The uniqueness and niche areas that your champion has made for itself in its background and kit. | | 15 | Cohesiveness | How well your champion ties into itself. Kit into character and vice versa. | | 10 | Good Neighbor Bonus | An extra possible 10 points for if you gave feedback to another entrant. |

But it's still up in the air until then! If you'd like to give your 2 cents on how the CCOS should be scored better visit the linked post and tell me everything! I can already tell you the weights and categories have changed several times already based on comments from that post.

Judges!

It's never too early to ask to be a CCOS judge for next month! E-mail me at '[email protected]' with your IGN and I can tell you your chances are very good. It's a lot of time to ask from you, but it's a serious boon to both me and everyone who enters!

#Hey everyone. Judge "The Djinn" here. If you want to know why I scored something as I did, please respond to this comment.

I'm a pretty picky judge, so don't be frightened by a low number: I'm using what I consider Riot's best executed concepts as my high-water marks for various categories. As a result, a lower score from me doesn't necessarily mean something was awful.

##Asking about specific categories instead of the entire creation will allow me to give more meaningful and targeted feedback -- it takes a long time to write up an exhaustive critique, and I will probably give an overview instead if a full explanation is requested.

Also, Sir ArmaMalum -- did you see my revised scoring suggestion on the last thread? Made one final recommendation to clear up some of the numbers. I can repost it here if you didn't.

Hey all! I'm DarkFoxes and I've been judging this month's CCOS.

I enjoyed scoring this month's concepts - there sure were quite a few diverse themes. If anyone would like me to explain their scores I'd be happy to do so - just note that it might take a while for me to get around to all of the requests.

I apologise for the 1-2 concepts which do not have reviews - I didn't have time to do it during the judging period, but I'll post them up here later today.

Do note that I will not be changing any of the scores, as my decisions were final and I stand by them.

@Sir Armamalum

I'm actually not too sure what happened with Regonas and his history. It feels somewhat like he just picked me for a scapegoat because I left negative criticism once or twice on his other threads.

@Regonas

I'll break down my scoring for you, but I'm really starting to be sick of your behavior. Seriously. Stop targeting me and making snide insinuations which have no basis in fact. I don't, and don't intend to troll you - if that was the case I would have given random scores to everybody and wouldn't have spent hours looking through all of the concepts and writing feedback. I'm pretty sure this qualifies as harassment at this point.

@The Djinn

I'll be glad to explain my scorings to you. Do you want me to do it over the forums or through PM/email?

7th place isn't too bad. I really liked the feedback I was given for Essencia. Yeah the flat bonus armor pen might have been too much, even if she has to kill every champion on the map to get her max bonus. A few tweaks are definitely being looked into and even for the E based on what was written. So hopefully I can do better for the next one. Be warned I an going to be rolling out the Tanks I have been working on. Yes there are several of them, be on the look out for them.

Sorry I couldn't make time to judge this time around, friends. ; - ; Next time!

What gave DarkFoxes the idea that Yuka was meant to be an assassin? Sure, I listed her as Fighter/Assassin, but Riven, Fiora, and Irelia are designated the same way so I was just following Riot's trend.

I say in the very first sentence of her concept that she's a Bruiser, her item-buying quotes are split roughly 50/50 between offensive and defensive items, and she has two defensive items in all of her "essential" item recommendations. She was always meant to be a bruiser, which is why she has utility on her W and E and AOE damage on her ult.

Also, who in their right mind would want to build AP on her? She's got 50% AP scaling in her entire kit. She's not a hybrid champion, she just happens to have an ability that deals magic damage and scales with AP the same way champions like Xin, Jax, Irelia, Fiora, and Aatrox do. It's actually fairly common for a champion to have some random AP scaling in one of their abilities.

Yeah, well i am done. If downvoters/haters/trolls like DarkFoxes are allowed to judge, then there is no point in taking part of CCOS. I am out.

Hey, Arma, I want to make a concept for DEC CCOS, but I don't have ideas at the moment. Should I try judging to get some dev for Jan, or should I just skip this month and see what my brain has?

Aaand.... when would the December CCOS be coming? [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

As for everyone else, leave a like on Strider if you want me to judge and leave a comment telling me if their is anything I should fix if you want me to enter him in.
