[CCOS] Timetable changes!

Hey all, while I know some of you were expecting the September entry post I have interesting news!

I'm going to try out a somewhat requested change to the CCOS timetable where I will take entries during the LAST week of a month, allowing any concepts posted within the month of September to be submitted. To be more specific, the entry post will appear at around noon EST on the 24th (7 days before the end of the month) and entries will be taken anytime between the 24th and the 30th.

This will allow for more entries but inversely push the results announcement halfway into the following month. So we'll see how this all pans out.

I apologize for the late notice on the change I was out of commission due to various reasons over this past weekend. I hope this post reaches everyone!

I commend whoever is downvoting any of my CCOS posts so quickly after I post them for an astonishing amount of vigilance.

However I would also appreciate if said person would explain to me why they are at odds to the CCOS and start a discussion on how I can improve their situation instead of silently downvoting and moving on.

No one in particular is doing this. There are just people who hound the board's global new post section and downvote anything they think is nerdy.

Half of the time when I post a submission I get an immediate downvote, too. (So I log in with a smurf and upvote myself back to +1. If I get two random downvotes, I delete and remake the thread.)

so can i post my concepts here ready for the entry post or should i wait for the official post to be put up? just wondering what works best for you?

go ahead and post whichever concept you'd like to enter to the concepts Board and get some scattered feedback the good ol' fashioned way. Once I have the entry post up on the 24th, you can link said concept in a comment anytime between the 24th-30th.

What prompted this timetable change? What were the requesters reasoning with?

Largely it was for giving more time for people who just learned about the CCOS (or just new to the Board in general) more chances to enter. And with attendance dropping kind of fast for both the MCCC and the CCOS moving the higher traffic time for both closer together will hopefully offset the slew of skin concept posts long enough for some better exposure.

It was actually a recurring request since near the beginning just because it was deemed weird to allow for an X month contest while only allowing the first half of X month to be entered. I'm just giving it a chance right now and seeing how it pans out. If it doesn't look like it halfway through I'll start prepping for an immediate jump back to the old timetable.
