http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/18/icons_17867_pas.jpg Passive Ability - Retaliation. When attacked Lorana will retaliate, striking back at her foes with a vengeance. Retaliation increases Lorana's total attack speed by a percentage per level, and gives Critical hit chance by a percentage per level. If Lorana has a block ready, she will consume her block to cause her next basic attack to stun an enemy champion for 1.25 seconds. If Lorana is not in combat for four seconds retaliation will go on cool down for ten seconds. Only damage from champions can activate Retaliation. Lorana must be hit three times by a champion for Retaliation to activate.

The cooldown is, 10/ seconds.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/3/icons_2584_pas.jpg Q Ability - Uhmeir's Grace. Lorana will roll a short distance and ready her shield to block an attack. Uhmeir's Grace will roll Lorana to the position of the mouse and ready a single block. The block will stop the damage from any single champion attack or reduce the damage from a single champion ability by a percentage per level of Uhmeir's Grace. If Lorana attacks an enemy champion with her basic attack while she has a block, then Retaliation will consume the block and stun the enemy champion for 1.25 seconds.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/16/icons_15141_btn.jpg E Ability - Airen's Rage. Lorana will dash to and damage an enemy. Airen's Rage will cause Lorana to dash to the targeted unit, and strike them with her weapon, knocking them back a short distance. If there is an enemy champion, tower, or wall between Lorana and her target, her dash will be stopped by the obstruction, damaging the obstructing champion instead, but will not damage the tower if it is what has stopped her. The distance enemies are knocked back is greater if Lorana has her spear. Using Airen's Rage will toggle off Solom's Defense.

When Tarvon's Strike is used, Lorana will leap into the air about 4x her height and become untargetable, but remain visible. She will then launch her spear at the targeted location to deal damage in an area equal to the stun area of Leona's Ult. Upon aquiring Tarvon's Strike Lorana will switch from her sword to using a spear, passively increasing her attack range by 100. Upon using Tarvon's Strike Lorana will use her sword again, losing her bonus attack range, until she either picks up her spear again or her Ult cools down. Upon picking up her spear, Tarvon's Strike will cooldown 10 seconds faster. The spear remains on the ground for 10 seconds or until picked up. This ability will toggle off Solom's Defense.

Mana cost is, 100/125/150/ mana.

Cool down is, 100/80/60/ seconds.Upon picking up Lorana's spear after using her ult, Cool down is reduced to, 90/70/50/ Seconds.

Bonus - Phalanx. When Lorana is near any other member of the Rakkor clan that bears a shield, (Pantheon, Leona,) both her and the other Rakkor members she is near receive one less damage from enemy attacks.

Responses -

Selection - "I am ready." "I will prove myself."

Movement - "On my way!" "Understood." "Let's hope there's someone to kill on the way." "I'll be there."

Attack - "They will feel the might of Rakkor!" "For my family!" "In the name of Tarvon!" "Let this be your end!"

Laugh - Lorana would fall into a relaxed stance and give a quick but cute laugh, ending with a sigh. (sounding as though she is smiling while she sighs.)

Jokes - "Just roll with it." "I'm not slow! Everyone else is just faster....." "Instead of Retaliating.....I should do a pre-emptive strike!"

Taunts - "Try me! I'll put a dent in your head!" "Run! I like a moving target." "I'll break you!"

How to use her abilities - Retaliation - As Retaliation is automatically activated upon taking damage from an enemy champion, you must decide to either commit to combat or withdraw depending on the situation. you should either make use of your increased attack speed and critical hit chance to deliver damage to your attacker, or if there are too many enemies there you should retreat, losing retaliation and its effects once it enters cool down and have to wait for it to refresh and get damaged again, before regaining its benefits.

Q, Uhmeir's Grace - Uhmeirs Grace is best used to quickly close the distance to a relatively close target and provide a block. Now if Retaliation is already active that block can be used as a quick stun to gain a small window of time to deal more damage before your opponent can fight back, 1.25 seconds to be exact. However if Retaliation is not active, then that block will be used to negate one basic attack or reduce the damage you receive from a single ability by a percentage, up to 25% only at level five. Either instance is effective.

W, Solom's Defense - In a 1vs1 Solom's Defense is excellent for tanking damage and allowing you to "stand and fight" when otherwise you may have had to run away. However as Solom's Defense reduces your movement speed, it also allows the enemy to get away from you should you leave it on, while also making it so you can't escape from pursuing enemies if you must flee, thus should be toggled off and lose your defensive bonuses if you know you cannot win a fight.

E, Airen's Rage - Airen's Rage should be used tactically as it will knock enemies away from you, and does not provide a stun like other similar abilities do. Airen's Rage is best used to literally "slam" an enemy off of an ally, knocked more then a few feet at most, leaving you able to engage them in melee without having to run after the person you just sent away from you. This ability can also be used to automatically toggle off Solom's defense by slamming into an enemy that tries to cut off your escape root when you are being chased by three other enemies, thus increasing the distance between you and your pursuers while also dealing some damage to another one.

R, Tarvon's Strike - This ability is in my opinion a kill secure ability. It should be used when you spot an enemy at low health (near death is normally the best chance to score a kill) and used to "quicken" their return to the spawn grounds. As Lorana becomes untargetable for the duration that she is in the air, it may also be useful for giving you two more seconds of time in battle without receiving damage, which can save you life if you know your team is on the way. Please note however that it is a skill shot and thus depends on your aim for it to hit.

Short Lore, How Riot makes it. (Maybe)

Found near death at the side of a dirt road, Lorana was taken in by a Rakkoran warrior. The warrior raised her and trained her to be the equal of any born with Rakkoran blood. As she grew she became beautiful and skilled, but also loved by the father and brothers whom accepted her into their family. And despite her frailty at a young age, she had become a strong and powerful woman. One day she and many other young warriors were called upon to repel an Noxian incursion into Rakkor lands. Lorana briefly met with her adoptive family before they parted. Her family would go to repel a second incursion while she went to deal with the first.

Her first battle came and went. Lorana unfortunately was unable to fight in the front of the phalanx they used do to her small size. But as they journeyed back they recieved word that the battle against the second incursion was not going well and that they were to go in aid. When they arrived they engaged the Noxians in a surprise attack while their attention had been drawn to fighting the other Rakkor warriors. It was in this battle Lorana witnessed the death of the only family she had ever known. For a time she could only cry. But when she had no more tears to shed, she gathered her weapons and pursued the ones responsible for her father's and brothers' deaths.

When she caught up to them, the other Rakkor warriors formed a ring around them, creating an arena for the battle that was about to play out. Lorana killed three elite Noxian warriors on her own before turning her attention onto the Noxian general that was all that was left of the incursion. The other Rakkorans opened the ring and allowed him to run, but only because they knew he would not get far. Lorana brought the man to his knees. As his life began to leave him, he asked who was she? Who was this short little warrior whom killed his three elite guards and brought a mighty general of Noxus to his knees? Lorana looked down upon him, and gave him his answer. "I am Lorana, warrior of Rakkor, and daughter of Tarvon."

Quote - "Even the weak may become strong, if only you offer them aid."

Now here's the full lore. Get ready, it's pretty long.

Long Lore - Lorana was but a small child laying near death by the side of the road when a Rakkoran patrol passed her by. As she watched them pass her weak and frail form, not one looked upon her. The warriors of Rakkor believed well that only the strong whom could fight for their lives were deserving of any aid. And so they continued on, leaving behind the child with death in her eyes. Lorana laid there upon the ground for several hours after, no thought in her mind nor energy to move her limbs. She lay there until finally a single Rakkoran came back from where the patrol had gone. He was battered and bruised, deep cuts flowing with blood upon his arms and legs. His patrol had run into a Noxian ambush of near five times their numbers. Though the Noxians had fallen he was the only Rakkoran left of the patrol. Despite his wounds he stood tall and walked without so much as a flinch in pain. As before, he did not look upon Lorana. However he came to a stop when he felt a weight pulling upon his cape. He looked down to see Lorana holding on tightly to his cape with more than what little strength her tiny fingers should have held. He looked into her eyes then and saw no thoughts or desires. Nor did he see any fear or desperation. What he saw was a powerful will, a will that declared that she would not die on the side of a dirt road, that she would not die without a fight, that she would not die alone. It was this strength of will that drove the warrior of Rakkor to gather the child into his arms and return her to his home. Lorana was so small at the time that one might have mistaken her for a doll in his embrace. Over time the warrior nursed Lorana back to health and raised her as his own daughter. He trained her alongside his three sons to be every bit as strong as any warrior born to Rakkor, dispite her origins. Lorana had grown beautiful as time passed as she became a teenager then adult. Her body had become strong through the years of training received from her adoptive father Tarvon, yet remained slim and attractive despite her toned muscles. Her black hair flowed behind her as she moved, like a sheet of midnight sky. Her blue eyes shined bright beneath her bangs, filled with life and determination. She carried herself with dignity and grace as she walked, and projected an image of kindness and purity. To many she looked as though she couldn't harm a fly, though they would be dead wrong. She stood now amongst other young warriors, her helm held at her side. They were being given orders to march in intercept of a recent incursions into Rakkor territory by Noxus. There were two groups being sent out. The first group was Lorana's, the young men and women whom had recently come of age and were to be tested in battle. They were to be lead by a experienced warriors, five for every ten of Lorana's fellows. The second group consisted of a handful of older more experienced warriors to search for other possible intrusions by the Noxians. It was this group that her brothers, Airen, Solom, and Uhmeir, and her father Tarvon were a part of. Once the orders were given the young warriors were allowed some time with their families before they were to depart. Lorana searched for hers in the milling crowds. Due to her being shorter than most of the women of Rakkor, she appeared as though she were a teenager searching for a lost little sibling. She stopped and looked around for a moment. "Surely they haven't departed already?" she spoke quietly to herself. Then suddenly a large and heavy hand plopped itself atop her head and ruffled her hair, the owner of said hand giving a deep chuckle. "You look worried. You didn't think we would leave without seeing you first did you?" Lorana ducked out from the hand and and turned to see that it was Airen, the oldest and largest of her brothers. Built like a mountain, Airen dwarfed all other Rakkorans, Lorana only standing up to his chest. Stepping around him and into view were her other brothers, Solom and Uhmeir whom were of average height. Her middle brother Solom clapped a hand on her shoulder with his trademarked grin plastered upon his face and spoke, "Now you know we would never do that to you!" Uhmeir the youngest, simply gave her a silent nod, though he was trying to hide the small smile that threatened to show. With a laugh of her own Lorana gave each of her brothers a hug and spoke to them of her excitement for her mission. Having trained together for years they naturally began sharing tips and strategies for countering foes with unique fighting styles. Lorana had heard all the tips many times before as her brothers and father had taught her well. But she let them continue anyway. After all, older brothers were always protective of their younger sisters. "Airen, Solom, Uhmeir, prepare for our trip while I speak with Lorana." interrupted a voice from the side. Lorana turned and immediately stood at attention when she saw that it was Tarvon. Her brothers bid her well and left to prepare. Tarvon waited until they left before he spoke. "In our family there is a tradition Lorana. One that would have involved the woman that would have been your mother if she had been alive when I brought you into our home." Lorana remained quiet as he spoke. It was the first she had ever heard of any tradition within the family. Tarvon pulled a small pendant from the pouch tied to his belt and continued. "In normal circumstances upon a young woman coming of age, her mother would pass down this pendant to her, in recognition of her daughter becoming a woman, as her mother had done before her, and her mother before her. I think it is time you received it now." Lorana was stunned beyond words. What he had just told her bore incredible meaning, and the fact that he was carrying out the tradition on behalf of his late wife held even deeper meaning. It meant that not only did he recognize her as a grown woman, but also that he considered her as though she were his own flesh and blood. Lorana felt a great sense of joy well up inside her, and quickly put an end to her tears before they began. "I'm honored. . ." Lorana said quietly, then shook her head and pushed his hand away. "However, let me first prove myself. Let me prove that I am worthy of it, and that I am a true warrior of Rakkor." Tarvon smiled and placed the pendant back into his pouch. "Very well then." he spoke. "When you have proven yourself is when it shall be passed to you." Lorana nodded. "I will bring honor to our family father." "I know you will." Tarvon responded. They parted then, heading to join the rest of their parties. In truth Lorana did not know if she was worthy of being a Rakkoran warrior. But what she feared most in her life, was that she was not worthy enough to be Tarvon's daughter. It was that fear that pushed her through her training and eventually shaped her into the warrior she had become. Lorana and her group departed towards what would be for most of them, their first real battle. They marched for a full day before they had to stop and make camp. Sentries were posted and scouts sent out. The warriors brought out their sharpening stones and set to work on their weapons, prepping them for the upcoming battle. As is the case with all soldiers with time on their hands, the idle chatter started up and the jokes and rumors begin swimming about. Lorana had heard many of them before. jokes such as the reason she was as short as she was often spoke of Airen having sucked up most of the height in the family when he was born, leaving just enough for Solom and Uhmeir but hardly any for Lorana. And many rumors claimed that the reason no one had seen Lorana until years after her birth were because Tarvon had been ashamed of her frailty when she was young. Such rumors had risen due to her mysterious emergence as a member of Tarvon's family. None but Tarvon and his sons knew of her past, a fact that made her quite mysterious in the eyes of others. Suddenly a returning scout cried out, "Attack! A brigade of Noxians is approaching!" Lorana and her fellows were quickly directed into groups and placed in front of the formations with the more experienced warriors in back. This was done primarily so that the recruits could gain battle experience, without the experienced warriors killing all the enemy first. Lorana however found herself placed in the rear of her group, in between the other recruits and the experienced warriors. It irritated her but she knew the reasons. The most important facter of a phalanx formation was for there to be no weak points within the wall of shields. Due to Lorana's shorter height she would have been a weak point in the phalanx, and so was held in rear. The battle began with the Noxian soldiers racing towards them, shouting as if mad with blood lust. Lorana clenched the grip of her shield tighter. Her heart raced within her chest and she gritted her teeth in anticipation. Though she was not up front with those whom would meet the oncoming force, she would still feel the impact of the enemy against the phalanx as the Rakkoran warriors braced themselves and strove to stop the oncoming flood in its tracks. There was a storm of clanging and ringing as shields collided and Lorana found her own shield pressed firmly into the back of the warrior before her as she and the rest of the phalanx dug their heels in and braced against the tide. They all slid back, but only a few feet before the Noxian wave came to a stop. It was then that the spears of Rakkor struck. From behind their wall of shields they struck, each piercing spearhead bringing down a foe. With each line of Noxians that fell the next would step forward, and for every Rakkoran that fell another would step forward to take his place within the shield wall. Lorana found herself stepping up twice as first one, than another of the recruits ahead of her fell. She found holding position in the phalanx was a battle in and upon itself. With each wave that rammed into the phalanx, the warriors were pushed back another few feet. Lorana and the others around her braced those in front and held them in place, preventing the formation from crumbling. Such was the phalanx, an immovable object that the Noxian attacks splashed against like waves upon a cliff. Before Lorana knew it only a fraction of the Noxians were left. The Noxians had piled against their shields to no avail, leaving so many dead with only a few fallen Rakkorans to show for it. Now they retreated, their numbers to few to hope to break the wall of shields. It was then that the experienced warriors charged. They raced from the now opened formation and launched their spears through the air. The spears rained down upon the fleeing Noxians like a rain of arrows. Each finding their way to the back of an enemy or into the ground very close to one. When the last spear fell there was but a handful of Noxians left. The Rakkorans did not give chase, for it was better that the few who remained of their enemy returned to spread the word of what had happened there. Lorana guiltily regretted not being able to slay a foe of her own. She knew that if she had moved up to the front it would only have been because others had died ahead of her. She would have to prove herself a true warrior of Rakkor another day. The fallen were gathered and weapons cleaned. Their mission had been accomplished and it was time to return home. However on their trip back a messenger intercepted them. He brought news of a second incursion bearing down upon Tarvon's party, with orders to intercept. With half a day of marching ahead they set out. Though she herself could personally account for the strength of her family, Lorana could not help but feel worried. No matter how strong a person was, numbers would eventually wear them down. They arrived by nightfall and witnessed the ensuing battle. The officers in charge gave the order to attack the Noxians while their attention was drawn to Tarvon's group. The young Rakkoran recruits charge fourth eager for battle, while the experienced warriors followed in behind. Lorana ran as fast as her legs would carry her across the field and down the hill. The only source of light was the moon above as the warriors swept down like a dark tide. All thought left Lorana's mind and time seemed to slow as she came to her first enemy. She sliced through his hamstring, toppling him over before sliding her spearhead across his throat. Though it was her first official enemy kill, it never even crossed her mind. Years of training had given her a sharpened and honed sense of combat. Her body moved as if it naturally knew what to do, swiftly and fluidly. Every enemy she came to she gave a quick fatal strike and moved on, not even bothering to wait for them to fall. She knew each of her blows were fatal and the Noxian would be dead before he even knew what had happened. She carved a path through the Noxians, not even counting the numbers she brought down. She did not care. All that mattered to her was that she reach her father and brothers and see that they were safe. The cries of the dying and wounded, the clash of metal ringing in the air, it all sang in the night like a bloody symphony. As the battle raged, storm clouds rolled across the sky bringing rain, thunder, and lightning. The grass became slick with rain and blood, the clashing of shields spears and swords were only drowned out by deep thunder overhead. Flashes of lightning created brief still images of warriors struggling for life and death across the field. It was in one such flash of lightning that Lorana froze in place. What she saw would be forever burned into her memory and haunt her dreams. As the lightning illuminated the battlefield Lorana saw for only a moment, Airen, Solom, Uhmeir, and her father Tarvon, laying amidst dozens of dead Noxian soldiers. A large armored figure standing above their still forms, and three others surrounding them as if guarding the armored figure. Lorana's heart sank and she felt a cold chill like ice within her chest. She could not believe the image the storm had just shown her. It had to be a lie! She raced forth, any Noxians that dared to bar her path met with a shield to their face or a thrust of her spear. When finally she reach her destination she slowed to a halt and stood silent. Words could not convey the emotions that raced through her heart at that moment. No story teller alive could describe how she felt. Lorana fell to her knees, dropping her shield and spear to the ground. The armored figure was a Noxian general, whom had come to lead the incursion. He gave her but the briefest of looks before motioning to his guards that they were leaving. Lorana slowly looked to each of her brothers and her father, the pouring rain and thunder unnoticed to her. A flash of lightning illuminated the scene, allowing Lorana to see her father clutching something tight in his fist. She reached out, her hand shaking, and slowly pried the object from her father's grasp. It was the pendant he had been going to give her back before they had departed. In his final moments of life he had taken it from his pouch and held on to it with all his might, as if his only thought was of Lorana. She remained unmoving for an untold amount of time, simply staring at the pendant as it lay in her palm. The battle ending without her knowing. The victorious Rakkorans gathered around her, silent and as still as watchful sentinels. The sorrow welled up inside of her until it finally burst out. Tears began to flow and her heart felt as if it were ripped asunder. She clutched the pendant to her chest and cried out to the heavens above, the pain she felt greater then any weapon could inflict. Though the rain hid her tears and the wind and thunder her sobs, her pain could be felt by each of the warriors gathered around her. For they knew she had just lost everything that was dear to her in her life. Time passed and Lorana eventually became silent. Her tears all shed, and her throat sore. Without a word Lorana slid the pendant's chain over her head and let it rest upon her chest. She picked up her spear and shield and stood to her feet. She took off in a run then, not caring that the other Rakkorans followed, surrounding her and keeping pace with her, as if they were her honor guard. Her only thought, her only desire, was to exact vengeance upon the man whom had just ripped apart her life. The Rakkorans caught up to the general and surrounded him and his three guards, preventing any escape. The rain continued and with the clash of thunder the Rakkorans banged their shields with their spears. They continued to do so in unison, creating a drum like beat that resonated through the air. Neither the general nor his guards knew what was happening then, they looked at the surrounding warriors in confusion. Then almost as suddenly as it had began the warriors fell silent. The ring parted on one side, revealing Lorana steadily walking forward, her shoulders back and her head held high. She only stood up to the shoulders of the other warriors, but them having parted for her passing spoke of something that the general did not understand. It was as if she commanded the respect of every one of her fellow warriors. As if they believed she would win against four opponents on her own. Lorana stepped into the ring and it closed behind her, sealing her, the general, and his guards in an arena. The general's guards drew their weapons and began taking slow steps towards Lorana. Lorana took no time in acting. Her brother Airen had taught her the importance of offense, and so she dashed forth striking with her spear. Her target was launched several feet back by the force of her blow, skidding to a halt upon the wet grass where he lay still. The second guard took the chance and engaged. However Solom had taught Lorana the importance of defense. She raised her shield and blocked his repeated attacks. Letting him wear himself out Lorana then retaliated, striking back faster and harder then he had. Her flurry of blows brought him down, while the third guard rushed forward attempting to slay her while she was preoccupied. But Lorana used the grace she had learned from her brother Uhmeir to roll under the blow, dodging the attack. She then brought her shield up and slammed it into him, stunning the soldier long enough for her to deliver a fatal blow. As the three guards lay dead Lorana stood in silence. The whole battle having lasted no more than thirteen seconds. The general backed away as a flash of lightning revealed Lorana's deep blue eyes gazing upon him, her black hair clinging to her form in the rain. The Rakkorans opened their circle, allowing him to run. But they knew he would not escape. Lorana chased after him, all her weariness forgotten and all her pain behind her. Now the world contained only her and the man whom ran from her. The general managed to gain some distance, but it was not enough. No amount of distance would ever be enough to save him from what came next. Tarvon had taught Lorana well throughout the years of her training. And one lesson he stressed to no end was how to hit a moving target. Lorana launched herself into the air and took aim. She did not aim for the general himself. Instead she aimed for the space he would soon be in. She launched her spear with such force that it appeared to be no more than a streak through the air. When it struck lightning cracked across the sky and thunder roared within the heavens. Lorana stood alone, the other Rakkorans watching from a distance. The general fell to his knees, clutching the spear that sprouted from his chest. As he gasped for air Lorana walked before him and drew her sword. "Who. . .are. . .you?" The general asked in gasps as blood flowed from the corner of his mouth and the hole in his chest. Lorana looked upon him for a moment before she answered. Her voice strong and full of pride. "I am Lorana, warrior of Rakkor, and daughter of Tarvon."

OK commentators, understand that this is just a concept. And the creator clearly said "Please leave a comment containing suggestions", that means that they want to get better. So if you think theres a problem dont just point it, out come up with a solution too. They cant make any improvements if you dont suggest how. For example I might see that there might be room for improvement, I dont just point that out, I back up my reasoning for that statement with suggestions for improvements. Stop just pointing out things that you think are not right and then not doing any thing to help fix the things that you think are a problem. First of all Im gonna congratulate this concept creator on one of the best though out an unique Qs that I have ever in my long history of reading concept Qs have ever seen, GJ. (Look at what im gonna do here other commentors, Im going to see that there may be room for improvment and make a suggestion.). Actually I seriously dont see what these other players are talking about, I dont see a connection to any other champs in any way at all. I think that the kit was very nicely thought out an intergrated with proper counterplay, and no relations to any other champs, as can clearly tell in her defending comment earlier. This is a unique and original champion. Her kit is not like Leona's because all of Leona's abilities relate back to her passive, this concepts abilities are not all really liked back to one thing, but they all directly or indirectly link back to some form of defense. And the kit is not over loaded (try looking at a shifter like Jayce or something). Just because her abilities are inter connected doesn't mean its over loaded, its just right, mechanics wise and application wise, and watever else wise, just know this kit was made by a wise person. I think that your one (sadly) flaw (correct me if Im wrong) was in the lore, and It was a very small almost insignificant flaw "When the day came to be tested in battle for the right to wield a relic weapon". I think what ArcanePegasus is so rudely getting at is " the right to wield a relic weapon". It might sound a bit cliche to some people, and if you feel the same way I would suggest changing it to right to bear the Rakkorian crest, or something that has to do more with honor, because thats the vibe that I get from the story, but introducing "relic weapon" so suddenly without any fore-mentions or mentioning it ever again creates a sort of hiccup in the story that makes it less cohesive, and attractive. I actually really like the lore, i like how you connected it to her kit, it was original and fresh and I loved it. I think that you have really created a good model for the "War Maiden" arch type (focused on defense, with a retaliation side, but not overly aggressive) but never again in this whole post do you mention relic weapon. When you create a champ you want to make sure that every fiber of their being correlates back to that arch type, and you have done that (if your asking me) except for that one fiber of "relic weapon". Id make sense if you mentioned that one of her weapons is a relic, but you don't. All in all this is still a really great champion, and I lover her. GJ sorry for the flood of text, but I get defensive of great champions that are being dissed.

I find this like very similar to other champions but yet unique at the same time.Something you might want to think about is lowering the Q cooldown by just a bit because that will be one of her main sources of damage as well it will help her possibly get her passive off a bit more or block some damage.Maybe to make the E more unique you should have all enemy in that comes in your way take 20% of the damage your dealing to your main target. The W is very unique as far as I can see.I like how the skill name all came from the lore quite nicely. If you want feel free to check out my idea. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/w2tOkzYU-yamato-the-master-of-light-and-dark

Her kit is FAR too overloaded to be practical. I like the concept of a pantheon-like fighter gal, but this kit is not going to work out, especially if most of the moves are borrowed from other champions.

Shamont11/20/2014, 4:57:30 AM2 votes

agreed, it was all, very well done, hear hear!

Voidzilla11/20/2014, 12:36:22 AM2 votes

I really don't see why people are saying things like "this champ is unoriginal" or "these are just stolen abilities". They may represent existing abilities at worst, but they're all about as similar as Talon's Rake is to Kassadin's Force Pulse. I actually think these are some pretty crafty and original ideas for abilities, so to the Champion concept creator, great job.

The kit meshes together very nicely and ties in great with the archetype she is supposed to be. I also like how the kit actually comes from the lore; that's a surprisingly rare thing to see. For the lore itself however, although it's clear and cohesive, it could probably be written better to convey things more strongly. I like the plot of it, but the execution could use more flare, at least in my opinion.

And I understand that the picture is just a reference, but maybe things would be better received if it wasn't just a female Pantheon. Maybe use a multitude of images that each have attributes you see in this character so people can get a better idea of how this Champion is unique in terms of aesthetics. Still though, I think people should remember the images in posts like these are just to get a general idea of the look. They're seldom the complete look itself.

Nice work here. Take everything, even my own post, with a grain of salt. I think this is a well thought-out Champion concept. I would look forward to seeing other concepts from you in the future.

This is a really sweet concept (+1); Who is Shamont? Loved the animation? That's super awesome... Wish I was that talented to help visualize some of my champs' abilities :P

Anyway, a little feedback:

  1. Passive and Q look solid- However, need some clarification on passive proc, does this work on non-champ damage? Does it only proc off of basic attack?
  2. W doesn't feel right as a mana-per-second ability. I'd recommend something with a base mana value. To avoid punishing short-term use, if the ability is toggled off within X seconds, Y% of the mana cost could be refunded.
  3. Smart idea to make E toggle off W so that the movement speed reduction doesn't hinder a chase (after all, that's the point of a gap-closer)
  4. How long does she have to pick up the spear? I think it would be a fun mechanic to increase the cooldown boost by picking up the spear based upon the time it takes after use to pick it up. I.e. If it takes 5 seconds, 50% base - 4(5 seconds) = 30% reduction?

Overall, cool idea. If you'd be willing, my other champ would love some feedback http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/5ufXzc9y-champion-concept-mavrik-the-dimensional-drifter

pictures get upvotes

Pics are good i guess. Concept... meh alright doesnt really stand out. Ult seems needlessly complicated. Doesnt seem like a unique champ at all

HidingOverHere3/2/2015, 3:19:14 AM1 votes

Ok when I said it's not unique I meant, why does league even need a champ like this? There are already a ton of dashy cc tanks/fighters. Not to mention she has so many overcomplicated interactions to keep track of for the user and the enemy. Each ability is like 2 different ones glued together to make one new "unique" ability.

Maybe its just me but I feel like others could easily take her role like Alistar for peel and tankiness, or Leona for engage.

But then I mean Riot doesnt have a history of too many unique champs they tend to recycle a bit (Darius, Elise, Renekton) But even those have a defining characteristic from at least 1-2 abilities thats sets them apart a little.

!!UPDATE!!

3/2/2015

I've moved her lore to the bottom of the post to make reading the page a little easier.

Minor changes to passive and ultimate.

HidingOverHere3/5/2015, 7:28:16 PM1 votes

So here's what i Imagine her to mostly be used for. Q to an enemy, stun them then knock them into your team. Toggle on W to tank enemy team. Maybe ult to zhonya's.

I guess this is kinda strategic, but its not all that different than from what a lot of initiators already do (like leona stuns, or lee sin).

Now in a 1v1, a lot of melees already have some thought and basic comboes, pantheon can stun cone strike then spear while running away. Renekton dashes in stun spin then dashes away. Lorana can dash in, stun, then knock them away. Is lorana this burst harass type or a dueling champ? It seems you are going for a more thought oriented dueling champ where you had to choose when to engage and stay in the fight (no escapes)? Id say Jax is a lot like this in his playstyle as he cannot jump out and does more damage as the fight lasts longer. Fiora is similar as well in that she has to stay in and deal damage to gain benefits.

And here's where Im getting the general "not very unique" feel from. There are already champions that jump in and have hard engages and heavy dueling capabilities. Your champ is more of a tanky sustained duelist with peeling capabilities (sort of like alistar). And I have to say, it just doesnt FEEL like there is something core to set her apart from all the other tanky duelists.

What I'd say is try to focus her kit around her passive, "hitting me is bad for you" type of thing. Amumu (e cd reduction) and rammus (reflect) already have these type of archetypes but no one has something where it gives them actual fighting power from getting hit. I feel like making her abilities center around this would give her more of an Identity and make her more unique rather than right now she seems to be a sort of generic engage bruiser with a bunch of stuff piled into her kit.

Inu Teppa3/10/2015, 11:26:19 AM1 votes

I don't understand some of the backlash here. Lorana seems to be an easy champion to learn and play with a kit less loaded than some of the champions that ARE already in the game. Here abilities don't seem complicated at all.

As for champion uniqueness, I can't think of any champions in game that are nineteen year old woman running around and using abilities that an action hero in the 300 movie would have. If you mean class and ability when you say unique, well in the actual game there are very few within a single class that possess a unique ability for that class.

Considering how most champion concepts are not well thought out, possess overpowered abilities from the get go, or are so over the top with their abilities that they just don't seem fun, I think Lorana The War Maiden is one of the best concepts on the forums.

!!UPDATE!!

1/14/2016

I've changed Retaliation to activate after Lorana is hit three times, instead of being hit once.

I've also nerfed the critical strike chance Retaliation offered down to 15% at level 18, and made it so it only increases by two amounts instead of once every level.

TheGrayGoo11/19/2014, 12:12:26 AM1 votes

So its a better leona. Q is a stun, W is a defence steriod, E is a dash and R is an AOE damaging ability. Where do you think the differences are?

!!UPDATE!!

1/2/2015

Added Base stats.

Rearranged pictures.

Removed additional range per level on Uhmeir's Grace and instead left it at its maximum range.

Adjusted Tarvon's Strike. Now you gain a ten second reduction in cooldown for Tarvon's Strike should you pick Lorana's spear up again.

Embertine2/6/2015, 12:14:52 AM1 votes

!!UPDATE!!

2/5/2015

I've increased the total critical strike chance of Retaliation. It now starts at 3% gaining 1% per level up to 20% at level 18. This is a 2% increase in critical strike chance from what the previous amount was.

In order to maintain balance between the crit chance and attack speed boost from Retaliation, I've also increased the attack speed boost to up to 25% at level 18. This was partly due to the increase in crit chance, but also with the thought that even though Retaliation is a passive, it gave a smaller boost in attack speed than almost anything else in game aside from the attack speed daggers.

NOTE: I actually did this yesterday, but hadn't mentioned it in previous update.

With the retcon on lore I'm not sure how Lorana will fit in in regards to lore now. Riot has stated that they want to try and expand on mount targon's area of lore, including that of rakkor.
