Hello, boards users. I have submitted ideas before, but mostly on the European boards. Now I intend to join the CCOS champion concept competition and see how well I do.

Lore:

Sei was one of a long forgotten tribe of Fire Mages, one that lived on the border between Demacia and Noxus. In the armed conflict between the two countries their peaceful live and abilities were soon discovered by the newly formed and still expanding Demacia. The bulk of its forces wanted to outright slaughter them because of their magic, but secretive elements within the military had other plans for them. They wanted to use their power for covert missions within enemy territory. But Noxian spies had relayed information to their own military and soon an army emerged. They did not intend to negotiate or let Demacia use those people. In the end most of the tribe was slaughtered by Noxians and Demacians alike. The few who survived had taken Demacia's offer to protect them from Noxus in exchange for their power.

But Demacia had no plans to treat them well. Sei's parents were among those who had taken the offer and enslaved. Sei herself grew into underground chambers, beaten and weak, trained to be a mage like her parents so she can serve like them. But the seemingly harmless child grew into a furious young woman with powers beyond anything anyone had seen. She served Demacia willingly so her parents could live, but their execution after a failed mission tore the only string, which kept her obedient.

On every mission Sei has been accompanied by 2 armed guards - nobody thought the seemingly harmless Sei had enough strength to deal with them and run away, but truth is Sei had been hiding her true potential from her masters. The guards sent with her on her last mission never returned and neither did Sei. Ever since she escaped, Sei has been wandering around Runeterra, searching to master and empower her abilities with only one aim in mind - revenge on Noxus and Demacia.

"My father used to say that the strong lead and the weak bleed... Well, in my case, they both burn!" - Sei

Abilities:

Passive: Feed the Fire Sei generates Fury by hitting enemy champions and epic monsters with her abilities. Each point of Fury increases her abilities' power. At 75 Fury or more her next basic ability consumes all Fury and becomes Overpowered.

Q: Hell Blaze After a 0.25 second delay Sei launches a fireball in a straight line, which stops at the first enemy champion, dealing 25/50/75/100/125 + (80% AP) Magic Damage to all units, which increases by 0.25% for each point of Fury. Maximum range is 600, increased by 1.5 for each point of Fury.

Overpowered Hell Blaze:

  • 10 additional maximum range per point of Fury above 75 (max 250)
  • explodes at the targetted location or at the end of its range, rather than on impact (explosion diameter of 450 (+ 5 per point of Fury above 75))
  • deals 1% (+ 1% per 5 points of Fury above 75) of each enemy hit by the explosion's missing Health as bonus damage

Cooldown: 15/13/11/9/7 seconds

W: Fire Storm Sei channels a storm of fire, which she sends forth to ignite an area in front of her. Enemies in the area are set afire and dealt 1/2/3/4/5 + (1% AP) Magic Damage every tenth of a second (10 to 50 + 10% AP per second), increased by 1% for each point of Fury. The channel consumes 25 Fury per second (Fury generation ceases, except for ultimate's passive). Cast range: 450/500/550/600/650 Area diameter: 100/150/200/250/300 Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds

Overpowered Fire Storm:

  • damage gradually transforms into True over the duration (if enemies sit in the burning area for the full duration)
  • applies Grievous Wounds while damage lasts
  • ignited area size increased by 50%

E: Fiery Wall Sei conjures a thick wall of fire. The wall slows anyone who walks through it by 75% and deals them 50/75/100/125/150 + (35% AP) Magic Damage every second they are touching the wall. Duration: 1/2/3/4/5 seconds Wall width: 75/150/225/300/375 Cooldown: 20 seconds

Overpowered Fiery Wall: Instead of a wall Sei channel-summons (1 second) a block of fire (think Azir ult), which pushes everyone away for 300 units, then it turns into a ring of fire, encircling an area, equal to twice the wall width of the normal ability. The ring always lasts for 4 seconds and only Sei can freely walk through the ring wall.

R: Blood of Fire and Fury Passively Sei gains 10/15/20 Fury whenever an allied champion dies near her. When activated Sei leaps into the air and lands at the targetted location within 500/750/1000 range, transforming her hands into two burning claws. Upon landing she stuns everyone within 250/375/500 range for 1 second. Sei gains 100 Fury instantly, her basic attacks become melee, dealing (20% AP) bonus Magic Damage, and generate 3 Fury each. Enemies attacking her in melee take (2.5% AP) True Damage on hit. Sei's Fury decays at the rate of 10 per second while the ability is active and the effect expires once she runs out of Fury. Her basic abilities also have their cast/channel times removed (Fire Storm's ignited area lasts for 4 seconds), do not consume (or generate) Fury and are always empowered. Cooldown: 180/120/60 seconds

Character & Appearance:

https://imgur.com/5ucTk0H Something like the above minus the weird googles and black hair should be appropriate and that's exactly how I visualize her when she activates her ultimate - the burning hands transformed into claws and the determination in her eyes.

When it comes to her character Sei is the type that would kill you on sight if you happen to wear something Demacian or Noxian without a second thought. She trusts nobody but herself and likes to stir up trouble. If you are stupid enough to challenge her you'll either get roasted verbally (if lucky) or literally if you insist on it. Sei also hates lazy people and nonsense - she'd act close to how Vayne does when it comes to Jokes and Darius when it comes to Laughs - super serious, but mean too. Still doesn't get mad easily, though, as the powers she posesses require her to control herself well.

Quotes:

  • Fire will reign on this battlefield (pick quote)
  • Everyone has fire burning within.
  • Fire does not negotiate... And it certainly isn't merciful.
  • (to Yasuo): Maybe we have something in common... Like nowhere to call "home".
  • (to enemy Riven): You should have joined me when you had the chance, Riven!
  • (to enemy Riven): Had you truly parted with Noxus you wouldn't have stepped in my way.
  • (to enemy Garen): Are you still going to yell "Demacia" while I fry you in your armor?
  • (to enemy Garen): Try lifting your sword and I'll melt it in your hands!
  • (to enemy Jarvan): You know, the more armor you guys wear, the easier my job gets.
  • (to enemy Jarvan): Did you fools really think you'd murder and enslave my people and get away with it?
  • (to enemy Lux): So young and naïve...
  • (to ally Lux): A piece of advice, Lux: trust only yourself.
  • (to enemy Darius): Just one more beheaded body, eh Darius?
  • (to enemy Darius): Noxians are just a bunch of bloodthirsty marauders.
  • (to ally Ashe): You have a noble cause, Ashe... Sadly, there is no reasoning with witches and barbarians.
  • (Taunt): The way I see it slapping you would be enough to kill you.
  • (upon using R): You gonna regret this!
  • (upon using R): BURN!
  • (upon using R): Wanna see an eruption?!

Interesting idea having a mage run on something other than mana, but the concept isnt really distinct enough from Annie/Brand. Your Fury giving you AP is probably a no go, since you are technically resourceless, it overpowers your spells, AND your main spell Q has a 100% AP ratio? Its just numbers obviously, but something to think about.

I like the idea that she gains fury when allies die near her. Cool champion concept overall, good job.
