Re-purposing the old Spirit Stone Items (and Wriggle's Lantern?) to Modern League.
https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/KgrHmoAt-repurposing-juggernaut-enchantment-for-jungling-juggernauts (Got the idea for this from this post, so credit goes to them)
Note: This assumes
and
, along with
, remain as options that champions would have to pick between based on their class. However, the Spirit Stone Items, as well as Madred's Razors/Wriggle's Lantern, cannot be co-purchased with a Smite Upgrade.
The above post got me thinking: What if champions had more options for jungle items, that suited different purposes than the ones we have on live? I tried to make them not generally better than the options we currently have (although I'm not sure how well I succeeded with this), but tailored towards giving access to a different set of classes (for example, Spirit of the Elder Lizard was aimed at Assassins/Otherwise Bursty champions such as Kha'Zix or Pantheon, while Warrior should remain the better option for bruisers like Vi or Rek'Sai).

Note: These are primarily based on the Season 3 incarnations of the Spirit Items and Wriggle's Lantern, with the Spirit Stone change from Season 4 left mostly intact. Goals with Each Item listed alongside their descriptions.
Spirit Stone:
Base Stats:
150% Mana Regeneration in the Jungle
Build Path:
+
+
+ 75 Gold (Total Cost: 700 Gold)
Tooth (Unique Passive): Dealing damage to monsters drains 25 health over 5 seconds.
Butcher (Unique Passive): Deal 20% increased damage to monsters. 8% of damage dealt to monsters
is restored as health, and 4% as Mana.
(Goals: Middle Tier jungle item to build into Spirit of the Ancient Golem/Elder Lizard/Spectral Wraith. Aimed at granting sustain to spell-reliant junglers).
(Original Spirit Stone for Comparison): http://www.team-dignitas.net/uploads/tinymce/images/spiritstone.jpg
Madred's Razors:
Base Stats:
10% Life Steal vs. Monsters, 15% Attack Speed
Build Path:
+
+ 50 Gold (Total Cost: 700 Gold)
Nail (Unique Passive): Gain 15% bonus attack speed for 2 seconds upon damaging a monster. Additionally, the target monster
takes 25 bonus physical damage on-hit.
Maim (Unique Passive): Every forth consequitive basic attack against a monster deals 300 bonus magic damage.
(Goals: Middle Tier jungle item to build into Wriggle's Lantern. Aimed at boosting the strength of basic attackers and powerclear junglers).
Spirit of the Ancient Golem (Aimed at Juggarnauts, primarily):
Base Stats:
150% Mana Regeneration in the Jungle, 500 Health, 30% Base Attack Damage
Build Path:
Spirit Stone +
+ 400 Gold (Total Cost: 2200 Gold)
Tenacity (Unique Passive): Gain 35% Increased Tenacity.
Tooth (Unique Passive): Dealing damage to monsters drains 25 health over 5 seconds.
Butcher (Unique Passive): Deal 30% increased damage to monsters. 8% of damage dealt to monsters
is restored as health, and 4% as Mana.
(Goals: Meant to be for Juggarnaut champions, such as Darius, Garen, or Illaoi. With Spirit Stone's Butcher passive and stats to make it a mini Sterak's Gage, Spirit of the Ancient Golem is meant to be a strong mid-game spike for the champions that best use it (especially when combined with Trinity Force))

Spirit of the Elder Lizard (Aimed at Assassins):
Base Stats:
150% Mana Regeneration in the Jungle, 40 Attack Damage, 15 Lethality
Build Path:
Spirit Stone +
+ 500 Gold (Total Cost: 2200 Gold)
Incinerate (Unique Passive): Upon dealing Physical Damage to any target, the target takes 16-50 (based on User's Level)
bonus true damage over 3 seconds.
Tooth (Unique Passive): Dealing damage to monsters drains 25 health over 5 seconds.
Butcher (Unique Passive): Deal 30% increased damage to monsters. 8% of damage dealt to monsters
is restored as health, and 4% as Mana.
(Goals: Meant to be for jungle assassins, such as Kha'Zix, Pantheon, or Shadow Kayn. This item grants a base amount of Lethality and Attack
Damage that makes them not feel like Duskblade of Draktharr should be an immediate rush, with the Incinerate Passive to assist their burst.)
(Original Spirit of the Elder Lizard for comparison): http://www.team-dignitas.net/uploads/tinymce/images/spiritelderlizard.jpg
Spirit of the Spectral Wraith (Aimed at battle mages):
Base Stats:
150% Mana Regeneration in the Jungle, 50 Ability Power, 10% Cooldown Reduction
Build Path:
Spirit Stone +
+ 600 Gold (Total Cost: 2200 Gold)
Unique Passive: Gain 15% Spell Vamp.
Tooth (Unique Passive): Dealing damage to monsters drains 25 health over 5 seconds.
Butcher (Unique Passive): Deal 30% increased damage to monsters. 8% of damage dealt to monsters
is restored as health, and 4% as Mana.
(Goals: Meant to be for battle mages in the jungle, such as Karthus, Morgana, or Brand. The Spell Vamp from this item is not particularly impressive, although it is meant to keep them well sustained over long fights. Runic Echoes, by Contrast, should keep its job for more bursty AP champions.)
(Original Spirit of the Spectral Wraith for Comparison): http://www.team-dignitas.net/uploads/tinymce/images/spiritspectralwraith.jpg
(Aimed at basic attackers):
Base Stats:
10% Life Steal (increased to 20% vs Monsters), 20 Attack Damage, 30% Attack Speed
Build Path:
Madred's Razors +
+ 600 Gold (Total Cost: 2200 Gold)
Nail (Unique Passive): Gain 15% bonus attack speed for 2 seconds upon damaging a monster. Additionally, the target monster
takes 25 bonus physical damage on-hit.
Maim (Unique Passive): Every forth consequitive basic attack deals 100 bonus magic damage. Against monsters, this proc deals
400 magic damage.
Wriggle's Ward (Unique Active): Place a Stealth Ward that lasts 150 seconds. (150 Second Cooldown)
(Goals: Meant to be for basic attack-oriented champions, Wriggle's Lantern provides a bit of Vision Control for champions who may wish to stay in the jungle for more extended periods. With its attack speed and life steal, Wriggle's is meant to provide unmatched jungle sustain and objective control, although it would be inferior for killing tankier targets when compared to its sister item in Bloodrazor.)

. I can personally imagine him breaking it by going Golem - Tri - Steraks- Tank, tri doing upwards of 400 damage per proc doesn't sound healthy on such a naturally tanky character like him.
