Weekly Reminder that Kindred should still get the mark from the monster if they get a takedown on it

Currently, when Kindred's passive marks an enemy jungle camp, rift herald, dragon, or baron, Kindred must be the one to land the killing blow on it in order to get the mark, rather than scoring a takedown, which denies them the mark if an allied champion kills the mark instead of her. I think it would be a good quality-of-life change if I, the Kindred, could get the mark if my allies last hit the marked camp after I've already damaged it, if I was giving the enemy blue buff that was marked to my lux midlane, or if our Kalista secures dragon or baron with her mega-rend. (Does this sound familiar? Because this is what the patch 5.13 notes said when Devourer enchantment was updated to grant stacks on monster takedowns)

Yeah this is important.

You get takedown marks on Epic monsters (Drakes, Elder, Baron, Herald)

You don’t on anything else, and you shouldn’t (saying this as a Kindred player).

I don't think you should

umm that would be hard to do... since "takedowns" on jungle camps is currently appear to be coded as "anyone" who damaged the monster. all she would have to do is deal one point of damage to get the assist and therefore the takedown even if if the enemy took the camp. (you can see when baron or drag is taken how many champs got the "takedown assist" )

for what you want to work, riot would have to completely re-code how her passive works and how takedown works from a team assist on a neutral camp. which would take a lot of time and effort.

i am not saying i don't think it should be done.. it should be done. but it would take some significant re-coding and isn't something riot is likely to put high on the list

I actually especially agree with this in reference to Baron and Dragon. I didn't realize until just this week that unless she kills Baron or Dragon herself, she doesn't get the mark.

How many weeks you missed?

They are in a decent spot for the people who main them.

Also one of my pet peeve enemy junglers. I hate them. I really don't think they need a buff to help them snowball harder cause they can snowball really easily rn.

Would just have to be careful regarding buff denial - she should only get the stack if she or her allies kill the monster. Currently, it seems like anyone who damages the monsters gets credit for helping take it down (see dragon kills where both teams show up on the sidebar). If she gets a stack without her team getting the mob, that seems really broken.

Kindred already gets a mark when assisting in a epic monster kill (dragon, baron). If they were to get marks from buffs without landing the killing blow than it would be far too easy to get marks from enemy camps. If you need to donate buffs to your teammates then give your own buffs. But you should be taking the enemy marked buffs and your team should work around that.

Nothing needs to be changed in my opinion.

You have smite.

It does work like that for the dragon. But obviously it should work for all jungle monsters.
