Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger

Hey guys! Here's a skin concept I've been working on for the past few days for Heimer. Since he got buffed/adjusted I've seen him popping up in my games a bit more often. I've also been watching a looot of Heisendong's stream lately so I was feeling the itch to draw some Heimer. His last skin was Hazmat three years ago, so I think he'd be up for a new one soon, and Dragon Trainer is my favorite Yordle skin line, so I thought, why not?

He didn't come up with demon term people had been asking for it for years. He just had a good concept for it, and it was nothing like the one in game.

I was actually thinking about mastering Heimer since he is fun but unfortunately every time I play him I simply... don't do well. Seems like I'm going to be stuck with assassins forever.

Everyone who complains about this is just demonstrating complete lack of brain cells.

Firstly, champions aren't REAL. We don't need some equality for them so they can all feel good about having skins. I PROMISE you, heimerdinger is not REAL. He is not HURT that he doesn't get cool skins as much as yasuo. If this ISN'T what you're worried about, what ARE you worried about? Profits aside, skins based on playrate is THE most fair way to do it. How is it not? More people that enjoy the champion = more people happy for the new skin.

Secondly, BUSINESS. Not sure if you guys realize this but RIOT is not a charity. They make skins because that's their primary source of profit. If they can dedicate a team to make a skin that will make them 100k in revenue, why would they dedicate that same team and resources into a skin that will make them like 5k? What? Like I'm SO sorry successful companies don't PERSONALLY CARE about your feelings as x champion main.

And this is coming from someone who plays only heimerdinger now as well. I definitely hate that we have no good skins for him, but I'm also capable of critically thinking at least on SOME level here as to why that's the case and why that isn't a BAD case.

Seems like a LONG rant for such a short comment but this is the 25th time at least I've seen someone whine about this and it's just so stupid that nobody pointing it out realizes any of these obvious points.

Heimer skins are great because there are so many objects and textures that you get a chance to play with and I feel like this would really take advantage of that - great work!

Edit: Imagine destroying the little dragons and they fly away crying. God, this skin would be so hard to fight. I would be sad all the time.

Love it dude, great design and artwork. It makes him look badass which I normally wouldn't describe Heim as.

I think it would be interesting if maybe the dragons were half-robotic or something. Like as if Heimy created some cross-breed of robo-dragon he now uses for attacking and defense.

i love everything but the grnade what kinda sick "tamer" would throw their creatures eggs away like its nothing i would rather is be a giant dragon scale that's on fire tbh or a stone

Funny enough, I thought of a similar concept, but involved a massive clone of dragons to explain how does he have so many stored in his hair and out.

Heck, I'm already writing stories about him, Teemo and Rumble as dragon trainers.

Do hope those 3 do get the skin themes tough.

Dragon Trainer certainly has a lot of potential and even looking back to this concept, the concept of more yordles having different coloured fur just makes them super appealing imo.

Hopefully we see more from this line one day! :D

Hi! I saw this through a reddit post, and I had a thought that might be cute to iterate: since turrets don't move, what if heimer's turrets were hatchling Baby Dragons in eggs? Then when they are out of range, they tuck their heads back into the egg (imagine the top of the shell resting on their head so the egg closes when heimer is out of range).
