Hey guys! Here's a skin concept for Jhin that I drew up. The skin gods have been good to Jhin lately, as he's received two new skins in a relatively short period of time; however none of those two scratched the itch I had for a futuristic/ robotic Jhin skin. Since he has quite the arsenal of guns, bombs and grenades at his disposal, he always seemed like a natural fit for a cyber skin to me. So, with Pulsefire being my favorite sci fi skin line (and not constrained to just Ez anymore), I thought it'd be a perfect fit for Jhin. Cait needs a better villain than Ez imo and who better than everyone's favorite psycho gunman?

Thought by many to be a legend meant to scare Pulsefire Corps trainees, Khada Jhin is, in fact, very real, and very dangerous. The psychotic 'artist' drifts from timeline to timeline, continously eluding the time-law and offering his skills as a gun for hire to employers that fit criteria only he knows. His Pulsefire gun, modified from a stolen prototype of Caitlyn's legendary weapon, fires bullets that can literally erase a victim's presence from their timeline, effectively removing them from the course of history. While these untraceable killings make him the literal perfect assassin, Jhin sees them as merely pieces of a puzzle that he is slowly putting together. After all, what better canvas could he ever find than the course of time itself?

On a related note -- any chance we could persuade you to do a small interview with the Archivist team some time? We've been debating the value of interviewing and promoting some community artists as a community-building project, and your work is exceptional: it seems like might make for a great test of the idea. :)

Really good! I especially like the 4th and 5th mask rendition in the 11th pic, they really feel like they hold a resemblance to Jhin's mask. Out of curiosity though, why post on NA? Your profile says Bucharest.

This is pretty damn fantastic.

I might have gone with a few more subtle four connections in the design though -- his sidesl look like they have three panels instead of four, his glove has three segments, his neck piece has three segments (and two yellow shapes), the glow on the back of his head has three sections...it just seems like there may be a few more places you could stick in subtle notes of Jhin's obsession with that number (although I've spotted a good number already).

Beautiful work as usual though -- and I suspect you may have already experimented with a few of those options already.

thanks for the feedback! some of the elements you mentioned (the back of the helmet) plus some others (the e trap) are supposed to remind of the Pulsefire symbol which, unfortunately, only has 3 prongs :P

Damn another skin that will empty my wallet haha, it's a really cool skin I would definitive buy that skin if it ever hits live server but the only thing that bugs me is that it kinda doesn't feel like Jhin. In my opinion the skin is missing the artistic feeling. when I play Jhin I want to see beauty and I want to be the center of the attention ( Big ego ). The Space thing dosen't really fit Jhin as a character.

You did an extremely good job but I feel like the pulsefire skins have now became a series instead of an exclusive for ez. To be fair though, my 2 favorite skins are now a line of skins. (blood moon and project)

  1. The skin is awesome. There is no argument there.

  2. The only problem I have is that crit, to me, should be a shiny, white color. Just for uniqueness in the line.

  3. The only problem for the skin in general is the story. Caitlyn was only made into a Pulsefire character because she fit the story. Ezreal is the time-traveling criminal and Caitlyn is the sheriff who was hired to track him and eliminate him. What would Jhin be and how would he fit the story? Especially since he has nothing to do with Piltover characters, whom this skinline is fashioned around?

  4. Jhin would most likely become a PROJECT since he could be easily fit into the story line, since it features no clear "focus".

He feels kinda Borderlands-y (in a good way!), and also reminds me a little of the PROJECT skins as well, but truly, TRULY, beautiful work.

The Jhin W's actual bolt seems a little bit confusing to the target, the winding is pretty but the actual projectile looks like is curving. And I can see problems happening with the brilliance of the fourth ultimate shot- it's awfully visible, much more than normal. It could be easily dodged or the opposite, the projectile looks too big in the picture and could confuse the target. The active ult range indicator looks to be the exact shade as the activation indicator (when you'd first click the ability and aim is).

But besides all that, it's absolutely stunning, the Pulsefire theme fits almost perfectly with him. But maybe darken the shades of blue a little, a cyber criminal shouldn't have the same exact color as a cop. (Ezreal breaks that rule, but that's a bad skin anyway.) I can see this becoming a skin.
