I am someone who enjoys playing support in every game I play. LoL is a totally different story. In no other game am I treated like a servant, responsible for babysitting my entire team. What I'd like to see is Riot do more to discourage this treatment of support players. Sure everyone gets flamed, but playing support is signing up to be harassed by your team. We don't want to be called "catalyst" we want to not get flamed for other peoples death's.
Maybe it's just the player and not the role? I main support and I rarely get harassed by my team as other claim to have been treated. I mean it sucks but putting the blame on the role and not the actual person is wrong in my eyes.
TBH, I don't get harassed that much anymore (prob as I got better) and in the past it was an occasional prima donna adc. Once in awhile a premade will team up just because they are a premade and one of them died half way across the map and wonder why I didn't heal/shield them.
Now if someone starts with me that is more than constructive, I just mute em.
Everyone gets harassed.
