"Fill except" option, benefits galore
So in solopugs, I personally hit fill, but simultaneously have the least fun as an adc, I'll do it to my best but I just have more fun playing every other lane, which are all relatively equal .
There's also the fact that more than half of games you hit fill for, you're going to wind up playing as a support.
So imagine you're the kind of guy who likes playing various positions, and you can only roll up for two lanes, or essentially roll for support a second time (I've landed top a few times with fill but it's rare) so if you would normally roll top or support you have no real fill option (let's be real, yes there's an off chance of landing one of the other 3 roles but it's unlikely)
With 'fill except ' you could simply say no to one role, but would still be in for the other four.
In addition to the choice between not being forced into the same role each game and exempting yourself from that one lane you suck at, riot would have more information on which roles are the least desirable, and can then in response make them more interesting
They can also use this as a tool to figure out (roughly) which types of playstyles could use new champions in other roles, based on who people generally pick in their average to better lanes and who they generally pick on their worse lanes..
This would make the fill option more approachable than just a second button for support
