How would you try working a "Keyblade" into a Champion kit/design?

Yeah, I mean the ones from Kingdom Hearts, but obviously you'd need several differences to avoid giving Square a reason for a lawsuit.

It'd be rather neat to have a Champion who wields a key-like sword that has some unique magical properties (not necessarily the same as the KH variants). The question is, what sort of stuff could such a Champion have in their kit?

Got any ideas?

Ekko Pretty much was that guy. Think about how he moves and jumps around.... Think long and hard about it.

But pops knuckles here we go.

I would imagine a younger girl, Young adult, mid 20s. In a robe, since were talking about KH lets say like the Nobodies, their black robes, hooded, concealing majority of the face.

She would weild one Keyblade in her LEFT hand, backwards, mostly as a defense tool, over offense. Right hand she uses her abilities. (im not getting into numbers, just spitting out ideas) Passive: When using an Auto attack, she will gain a burst of movespeed that decays rapidly, does not stack, has a cooldown. When hitting an enemy with a ability, she will gain a small shield over her health that decays quickly, does not stack, and has a cooldown.

Q: Uppercut She lunges forward, not even half of what fiora can do, and uses her backwards keyblade, to uppercut anyone infront, whoever is hit first (goes through minions to hit champions), is knocked back. W: Kinect Push. Uses her right hand, to push enemies direclty infront of her, in a cone, away, dealing small damage (think syndra). E: Vault. Pressing E, will give you a skillshot to jump backwards in the other direction, giving a short burst of movespeed. R: Release. She conjures a mystic form of a second keyblade, with dark energy, this changes her abilities. This only lasts so long, only able to do Q, W, E two times each max, with once on R, and if she does R first, only once on each on the other abilities- maybe.

R-Q: X Cut. Cuts in a single X cross infront of herself, anyone in front is dealt damage, AD and AP, and heals her for a portion. (very small).

R-W: Self Shield. Does a powerup, like Yis Meditate, the longer she is able to, she powers up a shield, the longer she goes without getting hit, the stronger the shield, if she is hit, then it is significantly slowed, most CC would stop it.

R-E: Cyclone attack. Spins like a bullet through a location, dealing damage THROUGH enemies and walls, upon landing, short burst of speed.

R-R: Dark Release. Sends out a shockwave doing AoE damage in one quick burst, but doing so well lower resistances, and lower speed for a short time and cause other abilities to go on cooldown.

This pretty much makes her more of a mobile disruption juggernaut.

She can use her R to go for damage, but then leaves herself open for less CC, or stay in her base form, to stay around and peel, making her universal.

You basically can't. The Keyblade is basically a sword, and it's more about striking and less about slashing.

"But what about all those buildings he cuts through in the KHII final boss?"

SHUT UP!!!

"But what about the Gunblade?"

Well see, believe it or not, soldiers for centuries have been trying to combine the gun and the melee weapon, long before Final Fantasy VIII came out.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pistol_sword

A long time ago, armies would complement their spearmen with gunners, and over time packed the two closer and closer together until someone came along and invented the bayonet, which is basically a spear that also shoots, or a gun that also stabs. There have been many attempts throughout to try and create a sword gun, because wouldn't it be nice to still have a weapon after your gun runs out of ammo?

But it's pretty much impossible and pointless to create a Keyblade-like weapon, which is somewhere between being a sword, mace and riot baton, without stepping on some copyright toes.

I'd like him/her to be a combo based dueler with each ability being a different "stance"...almost like Udyr but instead of recieving a unique buff it'd be a new fighting style. How this would be created/balanced is beyond me, but it be cool if Riot pulled it off

One idea in my head:

Q (Stance of the Nimble) - Upon activation, "X" gains attack speed for the duration of the stance but loses a % of his attack damage

W (Stance of the Strong) - Upon activation, "X" gains AD and HP but loses a % of his attack speed and movement speed

E (Stance of the Quick) - Upon activation, "X" gains movement and tenacity but loses a % of his combat stats

R (Duty of the Fighter) - Upon activation, "X" becomes untargetable between his next 4 autos (note: not during his animation) and gains movement speed for the next 6 seconds or until the 4th auto

obviously this kit isn't perfect and could be improved on a lot...but this is my rough draft of what first came to mind to me at 1:20am so ya...it's not perfect

The special properties a keyblade has over a regular stick/sword (namely unlocking hearts and stuff) are nothing that could be applied to League, so trying to make a kit for a keyblade is rather pointless.

Like someone above me said, Ekko is basically close enough to a keyblade user in the way he fights, what with all the dashing and slow/stop effects.
