Witch Doctor Heimerdinger
An idea I had during a discussion with some friends over what else could be done with Heimer's kit and style, and apparently one that's been thrown around very rarely even here and on Reddit (with the last thread I found being from the old GD early last year!).
Heimer Himself: The average trappings of a witch doctor. Horrific tiki-style mask, grass skirt, and his usual pouf of hair replaced by a massive headdress of tropical leaves and feathers. A generic (non-human) bone and a torch would replace his tools. If the skin were enough to warrant a new VO, I imagine he would be quite similar to Gnar. Bonus points if it sounds like Gnar with Heimer's speech patterns.
Turrets: Small, wooden or bone-built tripod lashed together with vines and grass, on top of which is a skull (of a cow or similar creature if necessary for international reasons) with flaming eyes. Their base attack spits a small bolt of flame, with the laser being replaced with a flamethrower-like gout of fire.
Missiles: Summoned swarms of small flying things, possibly on fire. These could be insects, bats, tropical birds, what have you.
Grenade: A chattering skull or shrunken head that lets off a cloud of fire sickly smoke upon landing.
Ult: Small tiki torches emerge from Heimer's headdress and a faint chant can be heard for as long as it's primed. The turret is beefed up to include more bones, stones, sticks, skulls, etc. The missile-critters become spectral and/or fiery. The grenade-head chatters more and laughs as it bounces.
I could see a similar theme working well for the like of Veigar, Ryze, or Brand, as well. It might be fun to see a sort of Tribal Mages theme for a lot of different champs, really! Thoughts? Comments? Points about this sort of thing not being entirely PC?
As an aside, apologies for a lack of art for this. My artistic vision doesn't quite live up to my artistic ability at the moment... Or is that the other way around? Either way, maybe in the future.
