Make it Work! (An Off-Role Thought Experiment Game)
So in preparation for Team Builder's release, some friends and I laughed about how we needed to queue up with some of the worst possible champ choices for our lanes we could think of. I came up with a 'worst case scenario' type team for laughs, when suddenly people started defending my picks as semi-viable! Obviously, this meant we needed SCIENTIFIC TESTING! We grabbed as many friends as were online at 1am, resigned ourselves to a pubber when some decided sleep was a valuable commodity (the weaklings), and queued for bots.
What followed was some of the most fun I've had in bots games in a LONG time. Our team Comp was as follows:
Bot Lane:
ADC! (and me!)
Support!
Mid Lane:
Triple-Pen AP Mage!
Top Lane:
This was our pubber. Kind enough to put up with our shenanigans, but was testing out the champ normally.
Jungle:
Full Tank. Never die, explode when you do!
Things were silly, but with the unfortunate exception of Tryndamere, we found that there were some serious, interesting benefits to our off-the-wall choices. ADC Lissandra? Amazing mobility and built-in Zhonya's for safety. Saved my behind and netted me more kills than I probably deserved (highest score in the game, what what!)! Mage Zac? That amazing engage meant that the backline were dead in a hurry, and his passive was really good backup if things didn't die quickly enough. Tank Koggie? Percentile damage, armor shred, and a built-in AS boost. He was actually the main threat of the game! I just sniped a bunch of kills because it was bots and I was being a bit bloodthirsty.
So now it's your turn, if you're interested in shaking up the meta! Pick a role/lane/playstyle completely unsuited to a given champ. Got something? Cool, now tell me how you can make it work. What part of that champ's kit might actually make them work far better in that position than you first thought? What items could be twisted to work for that role while still serving your champ's needs in ways people might not have thought of? If you've got some friends, test out an 'idiotic' team comp like our and see what you come up with!
Armour Shred Tank Support

) but with a Support item (choose based on the situation, possibly even
) and a sightstone.
In terms of playing him as a support you can harass the enemy with ease, slow them, reduce their damage (passive), shred armor, and stun one of them for a second or two.
You also can destroy people in fights and give amazing peel for your adc, because death is the best CC.
mixed carry bot
and
are great items on him,
helps make the mixed work with his basic attack,
just makes him hurt all around, and to finish it
. Yes, you build Zhonya's on an ADC.
and full cooldown reduction, he's throwing out those gravity wells like candy during teamfights. Use everything else to harass, procing that
at huge range with his Death Ray.
. Can not go mid since I get smashed, cant go top because I get smashed, cant go bottom since I do nothing, cant jungle anymore because I no longer have an E to use, and that leaves the adc and that is clearly laughable. I would rather pick Olaf as the adc instead of Janna to the point that the new phrase for a champion that is nerfed past playability should be that they were Janna'd instead of Olaf'd.
as quick as you can, boots where you can. Max W first for higher damage and root duration. Abuse the passive and never give up blue. The ganks are amazing, especially on bot lane, and the teamfights later are even better. Although I'm bias because Liss is one of my favorite mages.
Support (With

Jungle
APC
Bot Lane
fuck tanky support, how about mage? you can play her top mid or kill lane, her stuns make it so the enemy doesn't hit back for a while at the same time as you dish out assloads of damage.
and
(and
if going bot lane)
and rush
. after that get

Another cool thing to try is AD Bruiser Nunu, works better in the jungle.
You can run pretty much anything in terms of masteries as normal, same for runes. However you build Feral Flare into Trinity Force. Then you should look at their team for what to buy in terms of boots, items, etc... An example build against a team with a Xin, Miss Fortune, Thresh, Zed and Mundo/Shyv would be
Or
(for CDR and reduced healing on Xin and Mundo)
and

because it let me deal fairly good damage while applying a 65% slow to 3 targets each autoattack (and shredding their armor) as I boosted my allies' AD and lifesteal... I'm pretty sure we only lost because of pizza.
