Aatrox rework concept

Passive: Aatrox's blood well is now always the size of his maximum health. Upon taking fatal damage, Aatrox enters a recovery state for 2.5 seconds, recovering the amount left over in his blood well.

Aatrox's well starts off at full and is refilled upon visiting the shop. Ability usage will drain from the well, then from his health. Aatrox's passive will not be consumed if the value is 0.

Aatrox gains 2.5% - 5% (based on level) bonus attack speed for every 10% in his Blood Well, up to a maximum of 25% - 50% (based on level) bonus attack speed. [This will be represented with segments in his resource bar]

1% of Aatrox's Blood Well is drained and dealt in physical damage on basic attack. 50% of damage taken [pre-mitigation] is stored in the Blood Well.

Q – Massacre RANGE: 650 COST: 10% max blood well COOLDOWN: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12

Active: Aatrox dashes to the target area, becoming untargetable and dealing physical damage in a cone in front of him upon arriving.

If Aatrox activates his E during his dash, he will send out a widened wave of energy in front of him, dealing additional damage. Physical Damage: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+ 60% bonus AD) (+50% consumed Blood Well)

W - Blood Thirst / Blood Price COST: 15 / 23.75 / 32.5 / 41.25 / 50 (+ 20% bonus AD) (+1% current health) blood well COOLDOWN: 0.5 Passive: Aatrox applies a bonus on-hit effect every third basic attack:

Toggle Off – Blood Thirst: Aatrox heals himself. The heal amount is tripled while Aatrox is fighting an enemy champion or large/epic monster. 「 Heal: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 (+ 25% bonus AD) 」

Toggle On – Blood Price: Aatrox deals bonus physical damage. Bonus Physical Damage: 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+ 100% bonus AD) (+50% consumed Blood well)

Aatrox's 3rd strike will also drain 3% of his Blood Well to do that damage or heal that much. 20/30/40/50/60% of excess healing is stored in the Blood Well.

E - Blades of Torment RANGE: 1200 COST: 5% max blood well COOLDOWN: 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 / 7

Active: Aatrox unleashes a thin vertical blade of energy in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies hit and slowing them by 35%. If Aatrox activates this during Q-Massacre then the wave is fired horizontally.

E marks enemies, attacking them consumes the mark slowing the enemy by 20% and granting Aatrox the same amount in attack speed for the duration. Magic Damage: 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+ 60% AP) (+ 60% bonus AD) (+50% consumed Blood Well) Slow Duration: 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3

(Missile speed is increased, but it's a single thin wave now.)

R - Dark Flight RANGE: 600 /「 325 」225 COOLDOWN: 120 / 100 / 80

Active: Aatrox flies in to the air and dashes forward [unstoppable], slamming in to the ground and knocking up foes within it's radius, dealing physical and magical damage upon impact. Filling his Blood Well by 20% of its maximum value for each enemy hit.

This ability may be self-cast but only the magic damage will be dealt.

Magic Damage: 75 / 125 / 175 (+ 100% AP) Physical Damage: 75 / 125 / 175 (+ 50% bonus AD) Additionally, Aatrox grants himself 10/20/30% attack speed and gains 325 attack range. For 12 seconds.

Aatrox grants himself and his allies 10/20/30% Movement speed and damage dealt. As well as 100/200/300% health regen. For 12 seconds.

Please check his wiki http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Aatrox for his stats before declaring anything is OP. I consider Aatrox in his current state low on the numbers side to begin with anyway. He mostly needs a slight tweak in actual gameplay though, which is what I did.

Things to note: Q no longer has a delay, it has a cast time similar to Alpha Strike though. E is a very incredibly thin skillshot so it's very hard to land, making up for it being buffed in every other way. R is basically his previous Q and R combined, removing the need to hit in the center. Aatrox lost some CC in his basic cooldowns, but overall gained damage. I expect he can be built tanky as well as damage-oriented and I view this as being fine. It's not different than Xin and Vi and others. I think overall the things I added also add more skill [cap] and complexity to Aatrox as well as tying his whole theme together. That he's an avatar of War who sends his allies in to a frenzy. That he has lived ages (passive revive), and that he thrives in battle (sustain tank).

It's worth noting his passive doesn't put him in stasis anymore, leaving him in a situation similar to Anivia. Which is good considering his passive resource will always be much larger due to being the size of his max health, same as Anivia.

His passive is also segmented in to tiers for a reason. It feels bad to attack once and have your attack speed drop, even a tiny percent. So now it only drops if you continuously attack without attempting to refill it in any way and it's more noticeable than invisible, so you don't guess what your attack speed is as much.

Full HP builds might cause him to be simultaneously tanky and do lots of damage still. The numbers are obviously not concrete but are tuned as such to give you an idea on where I'm going with this. I feel for the most part the numbers are fine since he has less natural attack speed.

after giving it a brief read, i absolutely love it. the interaction of his blood well growing as he takes damage and decreasing as he deals damage is extremely cool, and makes his blood well feel interesting, unique, and important. currently blood well is simply an excuse for his passive to revive him, but this rework makes the blood well the core of his kit, and it does it extremely well and is really interesting. the only problem i can see with it is that if his blood well starts at 0%, he can't use any abilities at lv1. also his ultimate does seem extremely overloaded. i'd suggest reducing the number of different effects on it and find a way to meld it into a single ability, because as it is it just seems like a literal Q-R combo.

overall, this is an excellent rework concept that's clearly up to par with riots work, and with some adjustments and iteration i could see this easily being better than any rework riot has made themselves.

this is a really cool concept but since its for aatrox it'll get randomly downvoted. nice job though
