If we can't have Black Shockblade Zed because of "Clarity issues"

Why not just buff Clarity?

But no, really though. If we can't have a black Shockblade chroma, to replace the red one (if I wanted red Zed I'd play classic) then why does Grim Reaper Karthus exist? Because of his scythe and metal shoulder pads. They make him easier to make out.

The reason Black Zac didn't come is because he literally has nothing to make him out.

But Shockblade Zed has even more than Grim Reaper Karthus. He has the wristblades, the shoulder pads, the lightning swirling around his feet, his biceps. He would be the most clarified black-robed skin. Oh, don't forget the giant shurikens on his back.

I'm really interested in hearing why Riot may believe that a black-robed Shockblade is a clarity issue on par with Black Zac and is beaten by Grim Reaper Karthus; because I really, really don't agree.

I think when they say for clarity sake they meant so people won't mix up zed and his shadow. If he is already wearing black and his shadow look almost exactly like him it might be confusing. It's not too difficult too spot the difference but i think riot went with the "better safe than sorry" route by avoiding a black chroma altogether.
