Fiddlesticks rework idea

I'd prefer he doesn't get reworked (I especially dread him getting a Galio-level rework, where the old champion is killed and replaced by a very different one with the same name). But since his kit is indeed pretty old, then I'll just keep throwing ideas hoping that one sticks.

Changes to the base stats: Base movement speed: 200 Fiddlesticks autoattacks are melee (make use of that scythe!)

Passive: Dread When unseen by enemies for at least 5 seconds, Fiddle gains 300 bonus movement speed (total movement speed without other boosts: 500). Enemy champions and invisible wards don't remove this bonus unless Fiddle can see them.

Explanation: Fiddle gets a huge boost of mobility while he's stalking a victim, but is almost immobile (literally) when seen. Wards and hidden champions don't remove this bonus because otherwise Fiddle would get a free oracle/safe bush check from this.

Q: Scarecrow Fiddle channels for 2 seconds and assumes the classic Scarecrow position. Moving without casting another spell while in the scarecrow pose leaves behind a fake Fiddlesticks in the classic scarecrow pose, that acts as a blue ward (max 3 scarecrows on the map at the same time).

Casting another spell while in the scarecrow pose (or close enough to a fake scarecrow, which gets consumed by the process) empowers the spell, but only if Fiddle was not revealed to the enemy team when he casted Q.

Explanation: Fiddle always required strong vision control to be effective; this change, along with the one to his passive, is an attempt at further pushing him in that direction.

W: Drain Same as live.

Empowered W: Gorge The tether from Gorge heals for a bonus %, higher the lower Fiddlestick's health was when he casted the spell. The tether also slows the target, with a stronger slow the lower Fiddlestick's health was when he casted the spell.

Explanation: this gives Fiddle some dueling potential vs enemies that cannot burst him down or that cannot easily disengage and re-engage (= he's stronger vs the enemies that are not supposed to counter him). Also, this adds some danger when trying to destroy a fake scarecrow: is it possible that this one is not fake? Where is the real Fiddle?

E: Messenger of doom Fiddle sends out a single crow, to the target location; the first enemy hit by the crow is marked for 5 seconds.

Empowered E: Dark wind Linear skillshot, similar to what Fiddle used in the short "a twist of fate". Fiddle summons a murder of crows, which then travels in a straight line for up to 900 units. As they pass, they mark any enemy in the area for 5 seconds.

Marked enemies are revealed, and if the mark is not consumed after its duration expires the target is silenced and receives magic damage. Drain/Gorge can be cast (for their normal mana cost) on a marked enemy even during another Drain/Gorge's channel without cancelling the other tethers; doing this consumes the mark and extends Drain/Gorge's duration.

Explanation: I always dislinked how random his current E is, and imho the one from the short is much cooler.

R: Crowstorm Same as live, but enemy minions closer than 600 units to where Fiddle appears get Feared (c'mon, this effect would be just too cool XD). Fear duration scales with the distance (the closer Fiddle is, the longer it lasts).

Empowered R: (Pls insert cool name here :p ) Same as Crowstorm, any enemy champion closer than 600 units to where Fiddle appears gets Feared too. Fear duration scales with the distance (the closer Fiddle is, the longer it lasts).

Explanation: the loss of Terrify and of the base movement speed would hurt his ult too much without some in-built AoE cc.

I wish fiddlesticks played more like a scarecrow. and less like a weird old sack man that has a bunch of pet crows.

i like fiddle's fear. i think he should definitely keep his ability to fear people.

i like his E, but i dont think it thematically fits with his character theme.

Fiddlesticks W doesnt make sense at all. how does a haunted scarecrow go from being a scarecrow to sucking the life essence from everything?

R kind of makes sense. I imagine fiddlesticks running through a field scaring crows. and the damage to players is them being scared by fiddlesticks... kind of lame.

so here's my rework

passive : Fiddlesticks is made of straw and magic. taking damage will not kill fiddlesticks, but instead cause his sack to tear and start dropping straw. the faster fiddlesticks moves the more straw he loses. fiddlesticks does not regen hp and dies when he runs out of straw. while leaking straw a trail will be left on the ground. fiddlesticks can repair his body by gathering straw.

Q : Fiddlesticks opens his mouth letting out an unnerving screech and revealing a terrifying sight deep inside of his sack. this terrifies enemies in a cone in front of him dealing minor true damage and causing them to flee. deals less damage subsequently if vision of fiddlesticks is maintained.

W : fiddlesticks is a living scarecrow. upon standing still fiddlesticks will freeze in place and become motionless. while motionless crows will gather nearby and on fiddlestick's person in a ring surrounding fiddlesticks. if fiddlesticks moves after becoming motionless each crow that has gathered becomes a projectile dealing magic damage to nearby enemies. actively he gains a speed boost and becomes immune to crowd control.

E : Fiddlesticks Swings his Scythe in front of him cleaving through enemies dealing physical damage and bushes. if the target is a bush the bush will be temporarily disabled and grant fiddlesticks straw. disabled bushes do not block vision or provide normal bush bonuses. they regrow over time.

R : fiddlesticks surges with anger at the impudent crows (and champions) who mock him. He channels and blinks to a location dealing massive magic damage on arrival and fearing those who are close by looking at him when he arrives. after arriving fiddlesticks gains double movement speed and his Q has no cooldown and deals bonus damage.

let me know what you think.
