No, but you can buy keys. You know, the thing that is worthy of all the shiny lights and things. It's a pretty well documented effect on the human brain. It's great for creating a false sense of enjoyment, and the brain associates that pleasure with whatever item you are getting.

Keys are good. We like keys. MAYBE WE NEED MOAR KEYS. And so forth.

I'm going to go ahead and say that's not really a factor here. Maybe with chests, but not keys. Keys are just a tool to open up the chest, the only reason people would buy a chest. People are not going to buy keys just because of the fancy animation from the fragments. They buy them to open a chest for their loot.

Best argument "against" that I've read, but I hold that the shiny lights and things are already tricking the brain. There's no logic here, and therefore I'm not really convinced that it doesn't help to have the shiny lights in as many places as possible.

Actually they make me want less of them, they're annoying AF and the slow animation gives me cancer.

IDGAF I WANT KEYS if anything the whole combine bs makes me not want to buy them, even if only to give em the middlefinger for not giving us the autoforge option.

But this might be just me

I mean marketing works averse on me anyway whenever somebody flashes shit in my face with shit like on sale buy etc i only get annoyed even more so with advertising, if anything it makes me avoid the advertised product like the plague just to make a statement

How is it not connected to Satan when the number points to the Mark of the Beast (where Beast is usually Satan) and means human independent from God (not needing God) as enforced by Satan. If I even recall well, the prophecy of the end of the world mentoins beast with 666 burned on its thight. I am not telling modern mainstream might've not bastardized the legend, but at least in the modern society it does have clear connection and that connection was used in his joke.

It's been argued that 666 is an error and that it should be 616, as the oldest manuscript found lists it as 616 (as well as a couple of other sources).

I'd like to be able to earn multiple boxes on the same champion. As it is, we get one box per champion every few days; I don't see the need for both restrictions. I'm not having fun trying to get a box on champions I rarely, if ever, play after exhausting my enjoyed champions.

You only get a chest once per season per champ. I have 11 keys as well and havent gotten a chest in months

I only play like 10 champions, so I'll never see another mystery chest again (as far as I know.) The keys will keep coming because all they take is playing the game a couple times a week.

I guess it is to make it feel like an occasion. After you've grinded for all the months necessary to get 3 key fragments, the joy of finally being able to make a whole key should be recognized in some way.

I'm glad they don't. Else I wouldn't be able to save up my atm. 9 free chests (and so far 8 keys) for Christmas.

Save chests for occasions, maybe for new skin releases = more fun (at least for me).

I have an extreme fear of self-creating keys. They're raising an army, and I can't stop them. That forge button is the last bastion of the resistance against these seemingly innocuous "keys." Once it has fallen, we're all doomed.
