(NEW) Passive - Bomb Lobber: Ziggs' basic attacks have some unique properties:

  • He now lobs his bombs at his enemies with an increased travel time. The bombs land where his enemies stood on-attack (with some slight homing) and explode, dealing magic damage in the area. Ziggs bombs can be dodged if enemies are fast enough.

  • Bombs deal 10% increased damage to structures but have no area of effect.

  • AoE Damage: 75% Attack Damage + 0.2 Ability Power magic damage; only applies on-hit effects on the targeted enemy if they are hit.

  • AoE Radius: 125/150/175/200 at level 1/6/11/16

  • Attack Range: 550 --> 600

  • Bombs apply spell effects.

Q - Bouncing Bomb: If Bouncing Bomb hits multiple enemies at once right away, it refunds a large amount of its cooldown. This amount is halved for the first bounce. No refund for the second bounce. Deals slightly more damage.

  • Cooldown: ~~ 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 seconds~~ --> 6 seconds at all ranks
  • Enemies Required: 4/3/2 at levels 1/6/11
  • Refund: 80%/40%
  • Now also resets your basic attack.
  • Damage: 75/120/165/210/255 --> 80/125/170/215/260
  • Damage Ratio: 0.65 Ability Power --> 0.7 Ability Power

W - Satchel Charge:
Now deals a small amount of damage to Ziggs and indicates where he will land. This cannot kill him.

E - Hexplosive Minefield:
One of the mines randomly is a Deadly Mine that arms only after a brief delay. It deals bonus damage based on the target's missing Health and massively slows. This amount isn't mitigated by stepping over multiple mines.

  • Bonus Damage: 6/6.5/7/7.5/8% of the target's missing Health
  • Bonus Damage Ratio: +1% per 75 Ability Power
  • Slow: 80% decaying to 40% over 1.5 seconds

##What this does:

It makes Ziggs into an (edit: semi-)unreliable, high AoE magic damage dealer who spreads his chaos onto the battlefield. Right now, Ziggs is already extremely unreliable. Most players will miss more Bouncing Bombs than they hit, his E often has little impact other than dealing a little bit of damage, his Ult is dodged before it lands and if it does hit it doesn't deal enough damage to be a game changer. His passive is his only reliable source of damage, but it requires his W to get him back to a relatively safe position.

Don't get me wrong. Good Ziggs players are incredible with him. Just not incredible enough to make him stand out from the crowd. He's just another Mage, like Brand before his update. And while Ziggs' Satchel update was nice, being able to destroy towers a few seconds faster isn't much of an identity, nor a unique strength.

With his lobbed bombs and extended range, Ziggs is able to provide consistent threats that enemies have to dodge. They're similar to his Q with the exception that they don't miss on accident. And while his enemies are busy dodging his basic attacks, he can hit his Bouncing Bombs more easily (and vice-versa). In this chaos, if Ziggs finds an opportunity to hit a few enemies with a Bouncing Bomb he'll immediately be able to auto attack and throw another Bouncing Bomb. This burst of rapid fire AoE damage fits much better into his mad-bomber identity than the consistent stream of easy-to-dodge Bouncing Bombs he has right now.

Because he has more range now (and more clarity with his Satchel Charge) that Charge deals a little bit of damage to him as an exchange, which also fits into his identity nicely. Which mad scientist hasn't gotten burnt once or twice?

Lastly, his Deadly Mine (E) fits into that chaos theme I was explaining. While it can't explode immediately when Ziggs throws it at his enemies, enemies might walk into it on accident when they are running from everything else that is being thrown at them.

Ziggs may not be too unique or interesting, but he is very powerful right now

Right now, Ziggs is already extremely unreliable. Most players will miss more Bouncing Bombs than they hit,

We could probably say the same for Nidalee spears, or Ezreal's whole kit, or really any skillshot that isn't a Lux E.

Why would you remove his reliable passive? Something reliable is important to have for every champ, and I strongly disagree that Ziggs needs any sort of changes.

Ziggs doesn't need a change, and you don't want to design a champion around being unreliable, because when he does get the good stuff out its amazing, but when you don't its trash. No skill involved just luck.
