#Basic info

Role: fighter Other roles: mage, jungler

This champ is somewhat hybrid of assassin, mage and bruiser. He lack damage when fight suddenly starts (easy to gank very early), but as he stays in his lane longer and builds up his passive he will become assassin like fighter who have pokes, dash and can all-in kill almost any non-tanky champ. He lacks good wave clears and sustain, so pushing him out of the lane and long range pokes is his weakness. He do have several range skills, but he is a melee champion (something like Talon or Zed), so take a range champ to counter him.

#LORE

While he was human Jack Snatch was his name while he was human. He lived in Piltover nearly hundred years ago and he was a thief. Not a legendary or extremely famous thief, but still master of his work. He worked with many underground syndicates, stole many different things. Jack was typical criminal: selfish, liar, cruel and sneaky. Most of his loot was gold, historic relics, documents or jewels, but one time he stole something different. Night was cloudy, but not a single cloud blocked the light of the moon. No wind and no sound was present, except usual sounds of the sleeping city. Old mansion on the side of the town was like a big hill covered in the light of the moon. Nothing to block the light, but yet there was someone moving in the shadows. Jack Snatch was on his work to steal Scepter of Morpheus. Cut a hole in the window, open that window, get inside, take the scepter and leave -- this was his plan. However, fate is a strange thing. Mansion was abandoned and there was a reason for that. It was said that the mansion is haunted and angry ghosts kills whoever comes there. Some people even said that shadows around the mansion sometimes came to life to attack people. But, that didn't scare Jack. He entered mansion and started to search for the lost item. Nothing was out of the ordinary at first, but few moments later things started to move on their own: doors opened and closed, things from tables fell down, candles ignited themselves and then went out a moment later. But does that scared Jack? No. He was a fearless thief. He finally found the scepter, put it into his bag and tried to leave the mansion, but... he was no longer in Piltover or even in Runeterra. He was sent into the Dream Realm.

Plane of Sanity Jack was transferred to the plane of sanity. It is a ghostly world, no person would want to visit this place. Ghostly dream beings crave life, so they followed and even attacked Jack. For many year he wandered through this realm fighting ghosts of memories, tried to stay alive in this dead realm. However, there he met several interesting dream creatures. Old magicians, generals and even necromancers. Ghostly beings who taught Jack several special tricks of magic and fighting. Not all ghostly being were hostile, some of them just wanted to pass their knowledge to others. After many years of wandering trough this realm he accidentally activate scepter transferring him to plane of nightmare.

Plane of Nightmares This was a different place altogether. Dark, scary and full with demonic creatures raging to kill something. Always dark, always terrifying -- this realm was dangerous. Many powerful beings Jack fought, many he have killed, but he lost to one of them eventually. Shadowy creature absorbed Jack into himself fusing together into one being. New being was formed and he was vicious. Hunted many other dark beings, killed and absorbed them into himself. Slowly, but surely he become what he is now -- Basker Evil. One "day" he got an idea: destroy the scepter, see what will happen. By doing this he opened temporal rift between dimensions and allowed Basker to enter Runeterra.

In Runeterra Basker entered this world. But what to do now? He wandered around, looked for things to do. Peaceful and bright world was not for him, but there was something to do. He learned about league of legends where brutal fights are fought, so Basker decided to enter the league and see what it could offer for him. His powers of shadows and darkness proved to be useful, but ever more so in this world, because in Runeterra he learned how to create phantom copies of himself and spread them around the world. This new champion is sinister, dark and there is many of him. Who could fight Basker? Who is not afraid?

Rivals: Nocturne Zed Enemies: Leona

#STRATEGY

How to play him Create as many phantom copies as you can. Harass your enemies from a far, try to farm as much as you can. Without good number of phantom copies you will not deal significant damage against enemies, especially in top lane. Don't worry about mana, just create phantoms and try to stay in your lane farming. With enough phantoms you can escape ganks or even got double against squashy enemies. You are like a a physical caster you depends on number of phantoms, so use that.

How to play against him Take long range champ, harass him and try to kill him before he build many phantoms. He don't have any sustain in his abilities, so abuse that. Early there is many ways to push him out of the lane and kill him. However, when he build enough phantoms he will be extremely aggressive and will try to kill you fast.

Playing top Rush item 3074 if you are winning against physical damage dealing champion. Rush item 3071 if you are equally to physical damage dealing champion. Replace item 3078 with item 3156 against AP champ.

Playing mid Rush item 3031 if you are winning. Rush item 3078 if you are equal to enemy. Rush item 3071 if you are losing.

It's a really cool idea, and a well designed kit, but don't you think that he steps on Nocturne and Zed's toes a little bit? He is an evil shadow monster like Nocturne, and the way his kit uses the shadow copies is sort of like Zed.

I upvoted just for the Bane reference though.

So what you're saying is there's no way he's a bad guy?
