item 3020 item 3157 item 3001 item 3027 item 3152 item 3116, and i would like to state that this champ really doesnt seem like a tank at all, more of a AP Fighter that benefits from teamfights and 2v2 skirmishes. Although i can see the benefit from this large damage from using his health i can see a build like this becoming the backbone.item 3116 item 3083 item 3065 item 3111 item 3151 item 3110

Why does he have random bonus stats as a passive in every basic ability instead of just making those part of his base stats? The spell vamp is not much of an offender here, but it feels like it shouldn't just be an add-on stat.

The champ also does not say "tank" to me. I get you would want to build resists on him, but HP is just not as effective as a choice on him because you eat a percent of your own HP and the damage from your passive is piddly nothing with 80 added damage at 4000 HP. He seems way more like a bruiser than a tank because the disincentive to build HP and the free defensive stats, allowing to focus on offense items. Combine that with really long cooldowns on his cc and I don't see him as a decent tank any more than Aatrox is one.

hmm, this is actually a nice champ, but you might want to tone down all of those passives

But... That's not a mechanically difficult tank.

That's a mechanically difficult AP Fighter, like Vladimir Chogath Rumble Mordekaiser .

I'm pretty interested in this concept! Although, I've got both a few questions and statements regarding the kit;

Questions: 1. Infernal Magic's active isn't clearly defined...I understand that it's a channel and then a burst, but what kind of effect does it have? Projected bolt, beam, or a conic wave? 2. Flash Point -51 is also somewhat confusing in effect; but more in terms of the damage than the actual ability. Is it an immediate burst of radius-dependent damage and then a flat DoT, or is it a passive wave that deals a radius-dependent DoT? 3. Why does Vampiric Flames not siphon health? Its name seems indicative of some sort of spell vamp, yet doesn't really seem to do any healing.

Statements: 1. Right-out, I love his Ashbone passive. It gives his opponents leeway to fighting against him, while also having a hard cap to ensure that fresh players to the champion don't screw themselves over entirely with unwittingly excessive spellcasts. The %health damage boost is also a nice soft buff to counter the damage you suffer for casting spells; you take damage, but you deal more. 2. His Infernal Sparks seem a little odd...With the more-or-less obvious implications regarding his Flash Point -51, it seems that there's really only one ability he can use to conjure them, and further is there's only one ability that really synergizes with them. Although, that of itself could be the highlight of your intent; a mechanically difficult tank. 3. I was at first wary about the passives with each basic ability, but looking over them now, it makes a lot more sense. In a similar vein to Udyr's passive and active correlation between abilities, but not so much that it would be specifically themed to anything besides the character itself.

(Note) Question no. 3 is struck through because I had only realized the fault of what I said when I was at Statement no. 3, but felt that it was still somewhat necessary to highlight the ability not being up-front about its nature with its active. I am also confused regarding how difficult it would be to cause the worse end of Vampiric Flames' damage, as most champions would have difficulty knocking an enemy into it. Syndra, Tristana, Alistar, Singed, Darius, Draven...There is a list of synergistic champions, but I don't feel that the list would be enough to validate the rare increase to damage.

I hope you found this critique fair, and I hope to see more out of this concept in the future!

I love the design of the champion

He seems more like an AP Bruiser than an AP Tank for a few reasons. He has a lot of free stats in his abilities which is cool because you can level up the ability that gives the stat you need, but at the same time its a lot of free stats.

The passive might be too harsh with little pay off, 20 bonus magic damage + 2% of max hp is only worth if you have a lot of HP, until then you will be losing a lot of health and gain nothing in return.

The Q is beautiful, but i dont think you need that passive, kind of overloads the ability in my opinion. The damage it can do is crazy when max charged and you can move, it really doesnt need to be giving you a crap ton of MR as well.

The W is a good move and its interaction with Q is very clever. Again though i think it doesn't need the free stats, all your abilities offer so much as is but tacking on these stats is overkill. This person should be forced into building tank, they should not be able to rely on their abilities to tank for them while they build damage.

The E confuses me a bit, I think im just reading it wrong though. So it creates an area of fire similar to Aniv's ult or Malz's pool? Everyone in this area takes X amount of damage per second, but if an ally somehow knocks an enemy into this area it deals bonus damage and slows, like with a knock-back? If i am reading this correctly i think thats a little too specific for ally synergy. There are few champions that would be able to reliable and accurately knock an enemy into this area. The Spellvamp is actually quite nice here, there isn't much of it in the game unless you build both WotA and Gunblade (which few champions can pull off). Quick question though, it says all Infernal Sparks are destroyed, what does this mean?

The R is simple but a nice fit.

Finally, is his name Pyro or Ashbone? Ashbone is a better name then Pyro in my opinion, Pyro is like generic stereotypical flame--user name and its a little bland.

As people have said, it seems more like an AP fighter than a tank.

I honestly don't think you need all of those passives. You need to decide what makes him special as a tank. I think the main passive should be the ult imo.

pyro 2 generic edgy name 5 me. other than that me gusta

Touya989/22/2015, 10:48:13 AM1 votes

It's actually too op I mean someone with passives that makes you tankier than the normal champions but it also have actives that actually deals a tons of damage as well... It's a nice concept but its too op :P

I havent read yet, but I'm upvoting simply because it says this champ is mechanically difficult. We need champs that TAKE SKILL. I'm looking at you riven. I was kinda dissapointed with this new champ. Other than kindred's ult, she/they is/are just another recycled kit that isn't hard to play and fits into some corner of the meta. We need more champs like lee sin

Rockman9/22/2015, 7:04:12 PM1 votes

this isn't mechanically difficult

Vbunnie9/22/2015, 8:43:51 PM1 votes

this is not a tank this is an ap fighter or maybe even a mage throwing armor/magic resist bonuses on champion and adding a stun mechanic a tank does not make. Not only that but the passive is stupid and serves no real purpose. What it does limits this champs capabilities. You punish people for using his abilities that is a nono. Not only that but the health lost has no way of being regenerated or healed by these abilities This champ needs sustain to be a tank.

BattleBalladeer9/24/2015, 9:05:38 PM1 votes

Your idea is very interesting and I would love to seem more AP bruisers. The self-damage while increasing damage seems a bit like Mundo, but the abilities do have a lot more interesting mechanics.

PS: This triggered my Battleforge feels... http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/battleforge/images/a/a0/Ashbone_Pyro-0.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090309192809 RIP

4 passives, something is telling me that will give ballance problems.

NazZomLord9/21/2015, 9:16:07 PM1 votes

Sadly though when you have the right Items to counter one champ they just dont matter against the other team, this happens alot with teemo due to the other slots easily Being AD

NazZomLord9/21/2015, 10:08:55 PM1 votes

But in all seriousness this champ would be a direct counter to the Assassins and annoying Mages that shoot for the back line.

The Loveless9/21/2015, 11:03:39 PM1 votes

Why does he get a small amount of bonus AD (from W) if all of his attacks scale with AP?

Seems like a cool champ. Kind of hard for me to process skills atm tho.

Starfish H9/21/2015, 11:17:47 PM1 votes

As much as I like the idea of a mechanically difficult tank much like a utility assassin it just doesn't fit. Tanks have 3 simple goals. Tank the damage Peel for ADC CC enemy team They are not supposed to be like Zed or Yasuo, they are supposed to rely on decision making and protecting. Otherwise you would make them into an Overloaded Tank or an unreliable Tank So far in my mind I can think of this guy as an AP Bruiser but definetly not a tank.
