This is heavily inspired by Voidling’s concept: Leth, The Hindered Templar Many thanks to him

The Ruination of the Shadow Isles happened centuries back. For some, it was an unmeasurable calamity. For others, it was simply a tool to sharpen one’s mind.

— Narico

Please give comment, critic, or whatever. I’ll take all suggestions into consideration.

Lore: Narico was only a teenager when the Tragedy struck. He was right at the center of the Isles, but he survived. He lost his right arm, yet his strong mind protected his memories. But he chose to forget them, for he can no longer go back to the past he once cherished. It was then when he heard a voice, a voice that was inside of his head. He savagely searched through the debris, looking for the source. It was a two-handed sword, as cursed and dead as he was. It was a sword that was being crafted furing the Ruination; its flat side engraved with a spirit, crying to see the outside world. After a brief moment of silence, Narico picked up the sword.

"Let's make the world known to us, and let's make us known to them."

The greatest explorer began his journey.

Region: Shadow Isles Roles: Fighter, assassin Positions: Top, jungle, mid

Base Stats:

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Passives: Physical Limit: Throughout ages of wandering, Narico is extremely skilled even though he only has one arm. Narico has a relatively high base attack speed (about 0.11 higher than yi’s), but he does not gain attack speed upon leveling up. Attack speed bonus from items will also be halved.

Gaining Focus: Narico gains 1% bonus attack speed(unaffected by Keeping the Pace) and bonus attack damage every 2 minutes. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Q: I’m no Warrior...: Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12|| Cost: 35/45/55/65/75 mana|| Range: “hook” [100 degrees* 300]; thrust [60*400]

Passive: Narico gains 1/1/2/2/3% bonus attack speed and attack damage for every takedown

Active: Narico swings his sword, pulling enemies behind him (the opposite direction of where you targeted, kinda like thresh’s e) 100 - 300 units (depending how far they are from him; the farther they are the farther they are pulled). 1.5 second later, Narico thrust his sword toward where you first targeted, dealing 10/20/30/40/50(+80% bonus AD)(*** 1 + 0.1 for every 20% bonus attack speed from either items or passives) physical damage and pushes them 100 - 500 units back (so it’s an additional 100 units to the range). This applies on-hit effects

Note: This isn’t as strong as it sounds. For comparison, darius’s e has 535 range. The first hook starts with 100 range, meaning if you cast this in someone’s face you can actually flip them over your head (similar to pyke but somewhat different) It is possible to hit both parts of the active since you have time to adjust your position. you can cast other abilities in that 1.5 second “wait time.” The second knock back of q basically means enemies will end up at relatively the same place regardless of how close they were to Narico when hit. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ W: Ghostly Posture: Cooldown: 30/28/26/24/22|| Cost: 60% || Range: N/A

Passive: Narico ignores unit collision. He also gains 15 movement speed for 2 seconds (stackable) everytime an unit dies near him. All the stacks will be lost after 2 second if no new stacks are added.

Active: Narico covers himself in spirits for 3/3/4/4/5 seconds, gaining 10/15/20/25/30 movement speed and slowing enemies he passes through by 5/10/15/20/20% for 2 seconds

Note: This can be used with q. Ghostly Posture also provides some much needed mobility for an melee fighter/assassin.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ E: Behalf of the Isles: Cooldown: 28/26/24/22/20 per charge/ 5 seconds between casts|| Cost: 150 health|| Range: cast [650]; radius [175]

Passive: This can be stored as charge. Maximum of 1/2/2/3/3 Active: Narico calls the ghouls of the Isles for help. 1 ghoul(about the size of Yorick’s Warden) is summoned after 1 second of delay(there will be a circle showing the location), knocking up enemies and allies for 1 second. The ghoul will then follow an enemy with the speed of 280(*1+x where x equals to AS/100), bearhug them once within 195 range, snaring them for 1 second, and dealing 10/20/30/40/50(+40% bonus AD)(*x+1 where x equals to 1% of bonus attack speed) to enemies.

Note: The cd between casts will not be affected by cdr. The ghouls move relatively slowly early game, and it will be almost impossible for them to catch someone without the knockup. Its long cast range allows Narico to force enemies to go a different route, sometimes making creative ganks.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ R: Wandering Spirit: Cooldown: 0/0/70/65|| Cost(active): 30 (+7 per level) mana|| Range: N/A

Passive: This ability is unlocked at level 1. Narico’s auto attacks apply 1/2/3/4 marks that lasts for 4 seconds. This is stackable and it will lose 1 stack every 0.5 second after 4 seconds of no new stacks. Narico deals 13 bonus magic damage on his autos for every mark the enemy has. Upon reaching rank 3 (so leveling it up at level 11). It will gain an active.

Active: Narico disappear from view (more explanation below) for 3/4 (rank 3/4) seconds(increased by 1 second for every 100% bonus AS). If Ghostly Posture was active, its duration will be increased by 4/5 seconds. His next auto attack will be empowered, gaining 150 bonus range, and will crit for 200% damage (if it was going to crit originally, then it will crit for 200% * bonus AS/100 damage). He gains 30/50% attack speed for 2/3 second after using the empowered auto.

Disappear: Similar to vanish (master yi’s q and shaco’s r), Narico can’t be seen by allies nor enemies by anything (true vision, oracle lense, etc.) Using an ability will make him visible again. Narico can move during this duration, and of course he can see himself

Note: This actually isn't that strong, but rather just gives him some late game scaling ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Important Informations:

  • 0.792 is a VERY high AS to begin a game with, and that’s why he only has 57 AD.
  • When it says Narico gains x% bonus AD, it means his total AD is multiplied by 1+(x/100)
  • If we compare him to yi:
  • at 40 minute yi will be level 18, having 0.91 attack speed (0.679 + 34%) and 117 AD (66 + 51)
  • at 40 minute Narico will have 0.95 attack speed (0.792 + 20%) and 118 AD (57 + 61.2) Narico, however, only gain half the value from AS items (unless he hit his abilities)
  • Narico also doesn’t have a level 6 power spike, but instead have a level 11 one.

Tips and Combos:

  • You basically q enemies into e, or e enemies into q...

I hope you like it :D

I feel like 300% damage is a little too strong, maybe tuning it down to 275% would help.

This is very well fleshed out, but I personally think "broken sword" is already kind of a Riven thing. I like the idea of a broken, cracked Scythe that he maybe found or salvaged after the tragedy of the Shadow Isles. Maybe a Yorick interaction where the scythe belonged to him?

OTT, I think this is extremely good, and I'd love to see him in the game.

Umm... How does item 3124 work? Because add in item 3091 which does 42 magic damage for 57 damage. With 6x on-hit that's 342 on-hit damage every other auto. Or 48% current life with item 3153 ? There honestly aren't a lot of on-hit items, not to mention runaans is only ranged.

Does E linger for a bit to work as small walls? Or just more of a spam ability?

And can you move during R? So you can see yourself and reposition?

Overall not bad! Some minor tweaks and he is good to go. Most games go about 30mins, so after that he is fine to start monster-scaling. I don't know if 14-16% damage/speed is particularly strong at that point.
