Strange Hybrid Champion Concept
I was thinking of a samurai champion who is an assassin/marksman who has both melee and ranged attacks, but not because of any spell, but their passive.
Passive: This champion has two different basic attacks, a bow and sword. The sword will be used as a basic attack if the enemy is within a certain range and enemy champions will take bonus damage based on your AD if you have cast a spell within the last few second.
Q: Engage/Disengage - When cast you will roll a short distance towards the closest enemy champion that you can see, this spell can only be cast if an enemy champion is visible anywhere on the map (meaning you can technically cast this at the top laner from bot lane, but you wouldn't really go very far). If you hit an enemy champion with your sword within a few seconds of casting Engage you can cast Disengage to roll the same distance away.
W: Foot Pin - Shoot an arrow as a skillshot that will root the first enemy hit to the ground and cause them to take bonus physical damage from melee attacks for a few seconds.
E: Splintering Arrow - Shoot an arrow skillshot that slows and applies physical damage to enemies, and splits into two projectiles that apply half the damage and slow to targets behind it, the splintering will continue until the projectiles don't hit anything. Projectiles cannot hit the same target twice.
R: Ride The Shot - Shoot and ride a volley of arrows as a skillshot that stops at the first enemy struck dealing physical damage and stunning them, and automatically allowing you to cast disengage, or you can press R to dismount early, and it can continue going until it hits an enemy, if you travel off the map you die.
