As the title says. What is it you guys and gals at Riot are looking for in the player base's skin and champion concepts?
What do we need to improve on? What sets some champion and skin ideas apart from others? Should we try for more originality? What would you like from us?
I can assure you rioters are constantly lurking on these forums, but they don't post because they're scouting for originality and creativity. In the same way a university sports scouter doesn't tell you how to stand out, they would stay in the background until you stood out by yourself.
Pool party ziggs, pool party Leona, battle bunny riven, pop star ahri, medieval twitch, void fizz are all skins that were inspired by player concepts. I know pantheon ultimate design was also inspired by a player, but I'm not sure about other abilities. I'd also like to think that parts of the sion rework were inspired by a post I made on the old forums. Even ability names are named after certain contest winners.
The point is that you have to keep posting and refining your skills as an artist. When you hit a home run, you can rest assured a rioter will see it. It might take months or even a year, but if you have something really good, it will show up in the game even if it's a subtle addition.
Maybe there's a Rioter who's always on the forums looking at concepts and pitching ideas to the team. Who knows, maybe some of the concepts are already in production or have some of the ideas taken to create other champions.

I think reds avoid commenting on champ concepts because it creates a huge influx of attention for that one champ concept over all the others. I trust you remember what happened when Kay'Ohe got a red post.
Everyone here is pretty on point. Skins can be easier to attribute to the community because the idea/theme is usually fairly simple. Champion concepts are pretty much never going to be recognized because they'll never take a champion 1:1 into the game. Skills, themes, characters, lore, all the individual bits in a champion concept are the things Rioters like looking at at and say "that's an awesome idea!" (from my experience at least). They come here to be inspired more than anything else, so make sure to keep churning out stuff that can really spark enthusiasm.
Bright colors and/or sharp contrast. I hate bland skins.
