Karma is shown to be a true master of balance. Like other Ionian champions such as Akali, Karma should be a hybrid champion. She can use her fans to deliver pounding blows or her mysticism to bring pain to her enemies.

Passive - Essence of Duality Karma gains 100 bonus mana for every 30 AD she builds. She gains 100 bonus health for every 30 AP she builds.

Q - Sphere of Neutrality / Fan of Aggression Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana Cooldown: 6/5.5/5/4.5/4

SoN - Karma creates a Sphere of Neutrality on the ground. The sphere can be attacked, and is destroyed after three ranged hits or two melee hits. While enemies are in the Sphere of Neutrality, they deal 12/14/16/18/20% less damage, and are slowed by 40%. (This applies to minions, pets, and etc).

Sphere of Neutrality draws aggro from turrets and is destroyed by turrets with a single attack. Similarly to Heimerdinger's turrets, the Sphere will remain in place until it is destroyed or until Karma places another one. Karma can only have one Sphere active at a time. If Karma gets too far away from the sphere it ceases functioning and can be destroyed in a single hit by anyone. Sphere of Neutrality does not grant gold when it is destroyed.

FoA - Karma throws her right fan in a sweeping arc in front of her, dealing 60/100/140/180/220 physical damage (+ 100% bonus AD) to all enemies in a cone.

W - Wave of Anger / Peaceful Blow

Cost 70/80/90/100/110 mana Cooldown 10/9/8/7/6

WoA - Karma slams her fans into the ground, creating a rush of energy that smashes a target circular area. Enemies in the area take 80/100/120/140/160 magic damage (+60% AP).

PB - Karma smacks an enemy in melee range with her left fan, removing their will to fight. The enemy is Pacified (unable to make basic attacks, like Amumu's Curse of the Sad Mummy, not a blind) for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds.

E - Arc of Determination / Aspect of Defiance

Cost 100 mana Cooldown 12 Seconds

Arc of Determination - Karma blasts an area in front of her with a wide, lunar arc (think Diana's Q). Enemies in the area are slowed by 70% that decays over 1 second, while allies in the area gain 40/50/60/70/80% increased movement speed for 2 seconds. This bonus movement speed decays to 0% (+10% per 100 AP) over the duration.

Aspect of Defiance - Karma slams her fans together and creates a burst centered on herself. She and allies within range of her gain a shield that blocks 70/100/130/160/190 (+70% Bonus AD) for 3 seconds.

R - Stance Shift Cost None Cooldown 4 seconds (This ability is gained automatically at rank 1)

Karma shifts focus from her mystical power to her fans, or back. While in her mystical stance, she gains the first ability listed on her Q/W/E, and while in her fans stance she gains the second ability listed in Q/W/E. These abilities share a cooldown across stances.

Shifting to her mysticism restores 10/60/110/160 (+50% Bonus AD) mana. Shifting to her fans restores 50/100/150/200 (+25% AP) health.

Well, you created a rather cool Jayce-esque Fanweapon champion. But people might disagree that this is Karma. Disregarding problems like the free oppressive no-cost sustain on R for a second; " Like other Ionian champions such as Akali, Karma should be a hybrid champion." What? No! Why? You are the first to say this. This is against what every Karma fan has ever told me, this is against what Riot is currently doing (not creating hybrid champs and kind of removing them, due to item/scaling problems).

So in one sentence you managed to scare away Karma fans and Riot alike. Upvoted for effort and creativity tho.

Hey I tried to make a hybrid champ that actually works, mixing sustain into AP and high mana costs to require AD. The free mana sustain is offset by her high mana cost abilities (though maybe I should make them all 150 at max rank to really force the Stance Shift binding) and the high health sustain is balanced by the extremely short range of her abilities.

I see players complain that Karma doesn't have fans a lot, and I thought the best way to justify these physical weapons on a Mage was hybrid stats. That's what drew me to it.

The main issue, balance wise, that arises from Karma's theme of duality is that she gains offense and defense from one stat, AP. This is true of many champions, but when combined with the self-peel typically available to supports, it becomes an issue. That is why Sona, Lulu, Janna and Soraka have all received specific nerfs to their solo laning, and the more recent AP supports (Bard and Nami) have kits designed to be poor in solo from the get go.

If an AP support's base utility is too high, they build full tank. If their AP ratios are too high, they go into a solo lane and become oppressive. Karma ignores this because she has terrible CC for a support, making her self-peel decidedly meh.

In order to hit her core of duality you need to use one stat for offense and one for defense. I've mixed both to make the build feel more fluid, but there's definitely two stats required.

With "duality" Karma fans usually mean the kind of duality the new Ana champion in Overwatch offers. A grenade that offers healing and damage, depending on who it hits. A buff/debuff. A shield that is also a weapon. A thing that is two opposite things at once. Not the kind of duality Akali represents, by requiring two different sources to become a whole.

Yes, and as I explained, if you base that off one stat it becomes a problem. Hence why Karma lost the damage on her RE and RW. You need to require her to use two different stats so that she has clear strengths and weaknesses. If she wants to be more defensive/supporty, she hits like a twig. If she wants to be more offensive, she's paper. That's why she should be hybrid.

Riot removed the damage from RW and RE because they wanted to accentuate the differences between her mantras and what they are used for.

You can already adress that issue with how hard she hits by working with base damage, scaling and exclusive utility. You don't need two different stats (that are especially different from just building support items VS AP).

Well... this is definitely the most unique Karma rework I've ever seen. Definitely not Karma though.

that 4 sec cd mana/health heal it's pretty broken

The intent is to balance it out with horrible base stats. 350 Health and 200 mana at level 1, 1000 health and 500 mana at level 18.

She's never been a hybrid champion. I don't think that's the way to fit her duality theme. I made one a while ago that was a bit too complex but it fit her duality better, maybe you can base something off it,

_Best _ rework I've seen yet. All you gotta do is rename the champion, get new model and particles, lore, and a new skin.

The Yetii Rider1 votes

Cute, but at this point, all of that is better than what you can actually expect for Karma.

Never said it was bad. I would defnietly play this rendition. However, if Riot were to ever actually rework Karma they would not adapt this in the slightest as it doesn't capture Karma's main theme. Though by the way they keep stripping away Karma's mechanics, 2.5 seasons ago I would assume she was a new champion rather than a reworked version.
