Teenage Annie rework? (And many other ideas surrounding lore and in game event tie ins)

following the day 4 universe video you guys talked about wanting to advance time lines via in game and external content, one idea to make this feel better is possible giving one of the oldest and youngest character a update kinda like you did with ezreal.

but instead of just updating annie, you could take her lore and vgu to a whole new level and advance annies timeline by 8 years making her around 16-17, i really dont think annie should still be a girl but evolve into a teenage girl.

while her relationship with tibbers a can still be their it could be a lot more distant and fragmented because of her getting older, it can also be an opportunity to give tibbers a much more ragged look. its a lot of work yes. but she is one of the oldest champs so instead of having anymore skins it would be nice to see annie and leagues lore advance like you said in the universe.

i mean at the moment annie is just a meme in the league community it would be nice to see her embrace a rebel gothic teenage look.

to demonstrate the time jump and the breaking bond between tibbers you could make her skills a lot more volatile and use particals in a way to show her magic has not only become stronger but its a lot more unpredictable and dangerous due to her age.

im sure this would be a nice fresh take, you guys arnt scared to messing around and reworking lore or completely reworking it, but instead it would be nice to see you advance the timeline and make the champs feel more part of the world, having a 9 year old girl from 8 years ago still be 9 is a bit unrealistic.

i know this topic has been covered a lot, but this seems like a perfect time to bring it up again, seeing as riot are looking into advancing lore in and out of game.

also champs that can have this effect.

ashe - giving her a more rugged look and feel to her skills to reflect the actions in the comics.

lux - possibly giving her a switching skill set to reflect having to hide her magic, this could be done by a kinda meter like gnar , were she goes into a berzerk kinda form or your able to activate it when she has had enough of hiding her abilities and goes full out ape shit firing her lazer mode

yi- he is long over due for some love and changes, while he is hated by many and loved by many to, there is a huge opportunity to update his lore and possibly show his never ending battles by giving him a much older scared and rugged look and having his abilities show this maybe instead of his w going up in the air he goes down on his knees are really meditates, his e could be a lot more volatile and extravagant, maybe reworking it into his r instead and giving him a new e.

panth- while i know he is a vgu update possibility, pantheon should embrace the full spartan look and take a page out of the movie (300), and become almost like a taric in spartan armour. were we see his scared face hes been hiding in the dark for so long. there are a lot of skills like pantheons in the game, nunu, galio, neeko but it would be nice to see pantheon take a more of a xin kinda stance on his ulit were he ulits in knocks everyone away but the person closes to him and challenges him to a 1v1 kinda similar to Camille, this could give league a chance to embrace that climatic feel within game 2 and make his ulit a spectacle to behold.

kennen - again he battles a lot why not show this ? most yordles are fun and cuddly with the exception of keld, why not make kennen battleworn and make skills to match this.. why not completely embrace his affinity to lighting yes ok he shows that already, but his q , w feel lacking in power and ummffhpp.

fizz- he doesnt really feel like a trickster and you dont really feel that attachment to the ocean like you would for say a pyke, again while fizz is a yordle per say he could be giving a much more rogue/trickery kinda look that using s trident that extends while using abilities like his hop.

azir- you dont feel like an emperor commending legions when u play him , nor does he look like one or move like one. his ulit should encircle him really summoning the legions. he should have a stature that demands people look at him, an aura that shows why he is a eternal emperor.

renekton and nasus - they come from the same period as azir and should be treated like gods, you dont feel this when you play them in game, when u press R you dont get the impact of turning into a giant god, i good example of how this could be handled is Gods of Egypt when they transform into their god like forms. maybe make it so their abilities change as you go into this god like form.

malphite - he doesnt feel like your playing a giant mountain of a god like u do when u play sion... embrace that make him huge make the players feel like they are being hit by a huge fucking rock, instead of a rolling stone for his q make it so its a skill shot and hes lobbing a huge rock at ur face, for his w make it so he controls elements like earth and have rock shoot out the ground like ornn.

ryze - yes ryze, make ryze feel the grip of demacia anti magic stance, whether this is via skin or a default base skin upgrade.

lee- while he feels like a kung fu master, he doesnt at the same time... if your gonna do kung fu go full out irelia dancing blade kung fu, make all of his moves feel impactful, his w and e feel lack luster and dont provide any major feel of power when using them. his e should stun people like the urgot e does for like 0.25 seconds and his w while iconic is pretty garbage, making it so its more like a shen dash would make more sense lee is a solo fighter lore wise.

the best example of this is the gankplank rework, when this event happened you felt like gp was changing and that you were part of the league of legends world you felt gp was part of the world, because he was interacting with lore. and bligewater will forever go down as one of the best reworks simply because of that.... its not like hey yeah we are reworking this guy because just because. you made a whole event out of it and explained and showed his rework and how it happened.

more in game events like this are a real opportunity to advance timelines and push character lore to a place its never been before, instead making the characters feel like they are indeed part of the world for ever changing and adapting to it not stagnate. this would involve players even more into the universe and base lore is huge and makes me want to play champs, and thats one of the reasons i loved ekko so much as a champ i loved his lore i loved his attachment to time and how it came about and you feeeeellllllll that in game. there are so many champs in the game even new ones that dont feel attached to lore in any shape and form and they feel completely out of place in this never ending land of battle and advancement.

making events of reworks is huge when it comes to getting players engaged with a new character, it makes the player feel like the character belongs in the universe instead of it just flat out appearing out of thin air like many do. now while you could go and monetise the entire event, i think these events should be a bit of riot giving back to the players, ie giving base skins if u own the champ like they have done in the past like gp and karma ward skins etc etc
