This is an appreciation post..

you guys can call this cheesy all you want, but i personally would like to say a huge thank you to riot for being such a huge part of my life. iv been playing league for 8 years and i have created some amazing bonds though the game i have several friends i made 8 years ago that i still play with and consider them some of my best friends and dont really know what my life would be like without them.

league has also created irl talking points or events that lead to making new friends and having amazing times, whether its going to a Viewing session at 4am on the uni campus or simply talking league with a tutor (who avidly plays). league has been sooooo huge in my life that it would be quite hard to imagine what it would be like with out it.

i would also like to thank riot for creating a free game in a period of when free video games didnt really exist were either pay to play like sub based or huge £60 games i could not afford as a 15 year old 8 years ago. this opened up a huge new world for me gaming wise..

iv had my ups and downs with the game like everyone has, but iv never dropped it. simply because no other game on the market does it better.. and that competitive feel you get comes from no other game i have played to date and iv played a lot.

i live and breath league of legends and would like to extend my thanks to all of the devs that make it possible to play such a good game for free with out the corruption of publishers that many big game devs are suffering from and its destroying them.

so thank you i will be here till the end of time

See these are the type of people league needs in the community. The people that truly love the game and will stick around no matter what. Thank you for being such a loyal fan and I hope to see you on the rift someday.

I wholeheartedly agree. My issue has never been with the game, games change around and keep things interesting while keeping the same cores all the time. League has to do that every year almost and honestly, while there are some things i do not like that i still feel need fixing.... they are working on it. Bit by bit they are trying to change things around while not doing too much.

Plus, they have an awesome NA support team atleast, havent had a bad experience with them yet.

Hope you continue to have great days in league, and Riot... dont let the trolls getcha down. Keep up the good work.

... fair enough. Despite my criticisms of the current design philosophy, I've been here since I got a random email saying that the makers of my favorite DOTA map were making a game, and I will likely be here until they close the doors one day.

I may take breaks, some have lasted a year or more, but I always find my way back.

I bash Riot because I love the game, I wouldn't be a little bitch and lie about this in this post. People still play because they want to have hope LoL can be great again(Ban me). If the game gets better I will be happy but I find it hard to be grateful to the devs.

Yeah. Overwatch, DoTA, Hearthstone, League, Starcraft—they all offer rich strategic experiences online. Whether their mechanics are real time, three dimensional, isometric, or turn-based, there’s nothing else like them. I prefer League because it’s team-based and simpler than DoTA.
