Senna, Light Reborn

Yes this is a concept for Senna, Lucian's wife.

Concept: A hard mage to play correctly, Senna focuses on being mobile and beautiful. Items like luden's echo help her to kite enemies while she rebounds her spheres. Her W is primarily used for quick trades or wave clear. E having a large range is very good for checking brush. But her ult will be the deciding factor between a good or bad Senna.

Lore: Senna screamed as she was pulled into the lantern. She had heard tales of eternal pain, bondage, and agony to those who become trapped in its glowing interior. She opened her eyes, seeing a huge village, populated with many blue, blob-like souls. They all hovered around, taking their time in their jobs.

Senna scurried down to the souls. One of them noticed her and approached her. "Well hello newcomer. Welcome to the lantern. I'm happy to see someone detailed again."

"Umm, hi? My name is Senna. I was just pulled into this lantern... but it's nothing like I heard. I was told that souls who are trapped in here are perpetually tortured."

"It's okay once you get used to it. I had some trouble getting in the hang of things when I first came here, but everything became great."

Senna felt skeptical about this. She wanted to ponder deeper, to see if she could break this self identified "illusion". "Well, what is your name?"

The soul seemed prepared to answer, but then it stopped.

"I....I don't know. It's been a long time since I've used my name. But I know someone who knows my name. The first person who's been in the lantern. He makes sure to keep track of everything here."

The soul led Senna past the village, to a cottage, the only thing here that was not glowing.

"I don't like to disturb him, but you should go see him," the soul beckoned.

With nothing to lose, Senna opened the door to the cottage. She found a beautiful interior, almost human-like. The woman was greeted by another soul, this time red. The soul began their conversation. "Hello young-one. I see you have come to me so I can record your past life? Maybe your appearance?"

"Wait, what do you mean. I'll always remember Lucian, I will always remember that I am Senna, I will always look this way!"

The soul turned a shade of blue, "I'm sorry to tell you Senna, but things here decay. Every soul that he's caught in here slowly loses everything they loved about, all of their power, and their will power, to Thresh. But, I have a hope for you."

Senna's eyes widened. "What. Please. ANYTHING TO SEE LUCIAN!"

The soul was shocked to hear her anger. It turned a warm yellow. "I have recently been trying to get my power back from Thresh, to "reverse" the effects that he has on your form. I have learned how to change the color of my soul based on my emotion, but that is all. However, it shouldn't be hard for you to get back the power of freedom. You've only been here for about an hour. Here, let me show you."

The soul emitted a glowing light from its center, revealing two chains on Senna's hands.

It explained their significance, "Those chains represent what binds you to this realm. Us souls have significantly more chains on us, but you only have two. Break these chains, and you will be free."

Senna struggled with trying to snap the chains, but her hand fazed right through them. She attacked them furiously for days and nights. She stared at her hands, now faded. Her form was beginning to disappear, she could barely remember the two names that she had in her head: Lucian and Senna. She couldn't even distinguish which one was hers.

She ran back to the old soul, desperate and afraid. "It's not working. I'll never get out!"

"Just let go. Life isn't so bad here as long as you forget."

Senna honored the idea of releasing her tension. Just slowing down her breath. She thought of the idea of staying in the lantern, and accepted it. She smiled.

A weight was lifted off of her right hand, accompanied by a crackling sound. A single memory came back to Senna. It was her dancing as a little kid, happy, and without fear. Unstoppable by even the most dark of forces.

This memory of jubilant freedom resonated and rebounded within Senna. She danced and danced, breaking free of everything else that was worrying her. She danced far and far away her eyes closed, for she didn't need to see to be happy.

Upon opening her eyes she found herself in a broken down temple, in the center of a vast forest. A single red feather laid on the ground.

Kit: Passive: Rebound and Happiness: Rebound: If Senna comes into contact with any of her light spheres, she bounces them off herself (at the appropriate angle) refreshing their duration.

Happiness: After casting an ability or rebounding a sphere, Senna begins to dance as she moves, gaining a surging burst of 20-50% (scaling with level) move speed over 3 seconds (accelerating than decelerating).

Q: Sphere of Light: Senna fires a sphere of light forward, dealing 40/50/60/70/80 (+30% ap) magic damage to the first enemy hit. Then the ball bounces off of the target. The ball can bounce off of enemies, allies, and walls, dealing the same initial damage to enemies hit. The sphere lasts for 10/13/16/19/22 seconds. The initial cast has a fixed length of 700, but after making contact with an enemy it continues moving until the end of its duration. Cost: 45 mana Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/10 seconds

W: Light bringer's reflection: After a 0.3 second delay, Senna shocks enemies in a line, dealing 70/130/160/190/220 (+60% ap) magic damage. Senna gains 5/7.5/10/12.5/15% bonus passive movement speed per enemy hit. If the shock hits a ball, the ball is supercharged, dealing 30/60/90/120/150 (+50% ap) magic damage to all enemies in an area around it the next time it would hit an enemy, as well as being sped up (Think Karma Q). The ball then continues to bounce as normal, with a refreshed duration. Cost: 80 mana Cooldown: 12 seconds

E: Shining Sweep: Senna sweeps a wide cone with tendrils of light (think Annie W but wider), dealing 60/100/140/180/220 (+75% ap) magic damage and slowing hit enemies by 20/25/30/35/40% for 3 seconds. If it hits a sphere, the sphere splits into 3 smaller spheres as well as one normal sphere. The smaller spheres knock back enemies, dealing 60/80/100/120/140 (+60% ap) magic damage, and destroy projectiles on hit, but destroying themselves in the process. An enemy can only be damaged by 3 mini balls at a time, but they can continue to be knocked back and can destroy further balls from the same cast. Cost: 70 mana Cooldown: 13 seconds

R: Jubilant Freedom: Senna continually dances in the direction of your cursor for 10/15/20 seconds (This is not like Sion ult as she has total turn control). During this time she is unstoppable, but only able to cast Sphere of Light. In addition, the cooldown of sphere of light is reduced to 8/7/6 seconds (Affected by 50% of cdr). Rebounding a sphere grants double the movespeed of your passive and heals you for 40/80/120 (+40% ap). Cost: 100 mana Cooldown: 100/90/80 seconds

Boring!, we either need 100% max hp in true dmg or a dash on a .2 sec cd for them to be even remotely balanced!

This would require at least a full VO update on both Thresh and Lucian.

Sphere of Light is a cool idea, but I think it needs more work to make the rest of the kit interesting as well. Its clear that was the only idea you had with this kit; the Rebound passive doesn't even interact with the rest of her basic abilities. Shining Sweep doesn't even have a shape, just a "large area".

Again, great idea with the soccer-ish ability and dancing theme, but it falls short. When there's more structure to it, I'll review it again.

Hello, I've read your champion concept for Senna. There are a few things that confused me, as well as comments about her. I'll break them up into different sections so that they'll be easier to read.

Lore - The lore is very short (not to necessarily say short lores are bad), and primarily focuses on Senna's time in the lantern. However, from my understanding the interior of the lantern was not as peaceful as shown in your lore. In Thresh's lore, the souls he took into their lanterns were bound to an eternity of suffering. In terms of suffering, there is not much to really be seen, and I feel like going into more detail would enable Senna to have more depth as a character.

Also, whom is the other soul that Senna runs into? He seems like such an important character, but he doesn't make much sense as to why he was still in the lantern. Surely, if he knew how to escape, he would've done so by now. I feel as if this is an end that should be covered in the lore in order to make it... more complete, would be the best word I could use.

Finally, there's addressing the whole "dancing" aspect you've given to Senna. Do you mind sharing if this was an aspect that you came up with, or was it previously mentioned somewhere that I'm not finding? I don't mind the aspect of her, but perhaps delving more into Senna's history and showing how dancing as affected her.

Kit - Now for her kit. The idea of a champion rebounding off of their own abilities is interesting, but there are a few points I'd like to address in regards to her kit.

Passive; While her passive is interesting, how does it tie into her lore? While having an interesting passive may help distinguish a champion, it would be better if they had a reason for the abilities and that in their kit.

Q; The first thing I'd like to ask would be the range on the ability. This is just a minor thing, but I feel like knowing it (is it short, medium, long range) would be able to determine how exactly Senna would be played in the game. Also, in your ability text you have "The ball can bounce off of other enemies, dealing the same damage, walls, or allies." I'd recommend rewriting this into something similar to "The ball can bounce off of enemies, walls, or allies, and dealing the same initial damage to enemies hit", or something along those lines.

W; How short is the delay of this ability? If it's short enough, there could be the interaction on using W on a Q in mid-air (not saying this is a bad interaction, but just wondering if it's possible). How does it deal with the balls lying on the ground? Do the balls deal a small AoE around them to reapply the damage, do they begin moving again, or are they simply supercharged in the way that they'll deal more damage to enemies that hit them?

E; This is a really powerful ability from my understanding. Depending on the number of spheres out, you could easily form a wall of the smaller balls that would simply block projectiles across a large width. They may be destroyed after getting hit with a projectile, but the power that the ability has is still there. Additionally, I would rewrite the phrase "The smaller spheres knock back enemies and destroy projectiles on hit, dealing 60/80/100/120/140 (+60% ap) magic damage, but destroying the ball in the process." to make it less confusing.

R; This ability is fairly... unique. It seems like a slower Sion ultimate with the way it moves. The main issue I see with this is the cooldown reduction on the Q. Are these cooldowns affected by CDR, or are they stand-off? I feel like this would be important before I can make any more judgments on the ability.

That's all I have to say (I put after typing an essay), but please write a reply if you have any questions or comments about what I said. Best of luck on your champion concept! :D
