[CHAMPION CONCEPT] Dr. Samantha Jude and Mistress Cynthia Heckle

Welcome!

So here is my concept:

Well mine is just the gender bender version of this, with their names sort of swapped over as well.

So why this character now? Well, we already have Amumu(the mummy), Warwick(werewolf), Vladimir(vampire) and Sion (i asumme was Frankenstein), which are some of the greatest pop culture monsters out there. But they haven't done Dr.Jykll and Mr.Hide yet. Halloween has come and gone, i'm just putting it out there.

Why the name? I like the name Jude, from the song "Hey Jude", it's another iconic name, and mixes with J in Jekyll and DE in Hyde. it only made sense to have her alter ego Heckle, since it rhymes with Jekyll i guess XD It's simple and people can recognize the relation, i hope.

Appearance: As much as i would like to have artwork, i'm not very good at design and only basing it on my own imagination. (photo's or images do not belong to me and are only used as visual aid or reference.)

like this Doctor Samantha Jude, Age 29, has brown eyes and Brown Hair tied in a bun. She wears a clean white labcoat and wears a red colored eyeglasses necklace. she is average in weight and height, nothing out of the ordinary.

something like this Mistress Cynthia Heckle, has long straight raven hair and dark black eyes to match, She wears her counter parts labcoat unbuttoned, revealing a red gothic victorian mini dress underneath with fish net stockings and black leather boots.

Lore: (the short version) Samantha was always a quite girl, since her youth Samantha didn't have many friends and only had her love for science to keep her company. She had a particular interest in concoctions, alchemy and chemicals. She already had a wide arsenal of unique chemical recipes to her name. But even after all her achievements, she still had something missing deep within her heart.

She envied those girls like Lux , Vi and Fiora , who had strong personalities and wished to be as outspoken and popular like them. She researched and developed a concoction that would improve her timid behavior in hopes to be more confident like them.

But the potion worked a little too well, it completely changed her and she transformed in to a very different person. Her new alter ego was too confident, cocky and brash. She taunted and heckled those unworthy of her presence and abused her counter parts knowledge is chemical to make narcotics for her own benefit. it was fortunate that the effects of the potions were not permanent and in a short time Samantha would be back to normal.

But the trill of being someone else, someone more powerful and feared, was addicting. She couldn't help taking a sip of her potion once a in awhile to feed the need to be popular and different. Now she roams the summoners rift in hope to change herself, before Mistress Cynthia Heckle dominates even her.

Every 5th basic auto-attacks spawns a silver liquid puddle below the target. (Zacs puddle size)

Her attacks animation look like she is digging through her travel bag for something to throw. She throws a variety of glass bottles, tubes and flask at her targets.

STATISTICS: (Estimated based on other champions and may or may not be balanced) HEALTH: 470 (+75 per level) ATTACK DAMAGE: 46 (+2.6 per level) ATTACK SPEED: 0.6 (+1% per level) MOVEMENT SPEED: 335 HEALTH REGEN: 5.42 (+0.55 per level) ARMOR: 18 (+3 per level) MAGIC RESIST: 30 (+0 per level)

Chemical reactions(Mechanic): Silver liquids are a catalyst and have different effects upon mixing with another puddle produced by her abilities. Silver: Innate, does nothing until another chemical is added, lasts for 5 seconds before disappearing. Can only react to one other chemical at a time.

Dark Mixture(Q): Dr.Jude throws a Erlenmeyer flask filled with a Dark mixture. Dark mixture spreads and hinders enemy movement enemies. Dr.Jude throws a flask at a target location, Spreading a Black puddle (roughly the size of Morgana's W), enemies in contact are extremely slowed by 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% for 5 seconds. Chemical reaction: Black puddles are set a flame, dealing DOT to enemies on it. MINIMUM DAMAGE PER HALF SECOND: 8 / 16 / 24 / 32 / 40 (+ 11% AP) 」 「 MINIMUM TOTAL DAMAGE: 80 / 160 / 240 / 320 / 400 (+ 110% AP) 」 Range: 1000 Speed: 1200 Cost: 70 Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 10

Neon Juice(W): Dr.Jude pours a concoction of green liquid on herself or an ally, giving them increased health. Dr.Jude targets herself or an ally, They are healed for 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35% of their max HP. If they are over healed, they keep the balance as gray health that lasts for 5 seconds. A green puddle spawns below the selected target. (small size, like Zac's chunks) Chemical reaction: Green puddles can be picked up to add a small 5% of HP(gray life) when collected. (Can be picked up by both Allies and enemies) Range: 500 Cost: 70 / 65 / 60 / 55 / 50 Cooldown: 8**

Chemical Barrage: Dr.Jude throws random sorts of chemicals from her Alchemist bag for a variety of different effects. Dr.Jude picks a concoction color to throw from her bag(similar to Twisted fates 3-Cards), given a choice of red,blue or purple for 6 seconds, If she fails to choose, the ability is canceled.

After picking a color, Dr.Jude throws out a barrage of flasks to a target area(Similar to Cassiopeia miasma full area). Enemies hit take damage and it leaves behind the selected color puddle at the area. The colored puddle that spawns at the target area is innate until in contact with a silver puddle, lasts for 5 seconds. **Chemical reaction - Red: **Creates a gas that lowers the bonus Armor and Magic resist of enemies inside. (looks like Grave's smokescreen, without the blind or slow) Chemical reaction - Blue: Creates an icy terrain, enemies and allies are pushed towards their last forward direction. (This is a bit unique design wise and mechanically. will add noted for clarity in the future.) Chemical reaction - Purple: Enemies and/or Allies are encased in an impenetrable bubble. Units inside the bubble are untargetable and cannot target other outside. (another unique mechanic, visually similar to any large shield cast in an area, denying movement in or out and separated vision.) Range: 600 Cost: 80 Cooldown: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12

Transform into Mistress Heckle(R): Dr.Jude drinks her transformation potion, turning herself into Mistress Heckle for 10 seconds. Dr.Jude channels for 3 seconds (interruptible), She then transform in to Mistress Heckle, gain bonus stats and is reduced to melee ranged.

Mistress Heckle can only drink one potion from her abilities: (same idea with Sion's Passive) Unstoppable (Q): Gains immunity to crowd control effect and receives a boost of movement speed. Indestructible (W): Become invulnerable to all sources of damage. Invisible(E): Becomes Invisible until she deals damage, her next auto attack deals extra damage only to the first target she attacks after being unstealthed. Cost: 250 Cooldown: 110 / 100 / 90

After transforming, Mistress Heckle will burst out in Laughter, It can be heard all over the summoners rift, informing others of her successful transformation. After the duration is over, Mistress Heckle reverts back to Dr.Jude, she is stunned for 4 seconds during this time.

How to play her? Keep your distance, Use your Q to zone out your enemies and trigger your chemical reaction for extra damage. The W is great for healing you ally and provided a little bit extra health during trades. After picking the color for your E, casting it will root you for the entire duration, be careful not to not be greedy for damage and stop the cast when things get to dicey. The important thing is to trigger your E chemical reaction as each effect is very strong on is own. Use your R when you are at a safe and secure distance as it can be interrupted. Remember you can pick 3 overpower abilities to help you in the situation. Enemies will be alerted of your successful transformations, expect them to be on their toes. Pick the Q to engage immediately in a fight, picking off their ADC or Support. If it looks like trouble, pick the W instead to absorb all those huge hits. The E is perfect if you decide to gank or use as a quick escape when low run. Keep in mind the duration of your Ult as you will be stunned for 4 seconds after its over. which will leave you vulnerable.

Pros: Her slow is really strong and can deal damage with her chemical reaction Her heal can add additional life to teammates and herself Her AOE clear has additional effect from her Chemical reactions, choose wisely 1 v 1 Her ult will demolish most champions unable to deal her overpowered abilities.

Cons: Like regular support mages, they are squishy with low armor and HP at the start, Dr.Jude is the same. she suffers from long cooldowns and high mana costs. Her E leaves her vulnerable and immobile. She needs time away from enemies both before and after she casts her ult, leaving her vulnerable again.

I really like this - it's sort-of a new approach to the circular AoE mage comp. It's interesting. Unfortunately, thematically, there will always be those who will argue that Dr. Mundo is sort of the Wal-Mart quality "Mr. Hyde." I personally would rather have this character fill the niche of berserk scientist. I agree with you though - this character would line up nicely with some of the other Zaun champions - Zac, Singed, Mundo, Warwick, etc.


The Q and W seem to be a bit on the powerful side. A 5 second slow on Q is very hefty for an AoE slow that isn't an ult. The per max health heal on W is a bit much - especially for the fixed cooldown and the relatively small mana cost. When Samantha Juse has a lot of other strengths, the heal should not be so great, or could come with some sort of a drawback (like, heal at the price of temporarily loosing long-range vision, a blindness side-effect to conteract the benefit).

*remember, Bard's heal doesn't heal anywhere near that much, it requires more mana, and it takes 10 seconds for it to reach full potential. This is also for a champ whose base stats are limited to account for overall healing and utility.


I like the ult idea - how it relates to the E's "pick 1" mentality. It reads really well, and it actually gives you a lot of options - despite being limited to an auto-attack style engage. It's badass.

My only problem, however, is some of the scaling - particularly max health. Mistress Heckle has some absolutely insane health - even without build items. I would hope that health would either be based on AP, or have some way to sacrifice the strength of Samantha Jude to better supply her ult in times of need. It would be a great way of enforcing a "strategic favoritism." That way, you have the option of weakening one of them to strengthen the other - rather than having Mistress Heckle be strong no matter what. It adds more dimension to the split character dynamic, and provides more in-game options.

I would also say that the 4-second stun could be reduced to a 3-4 second slow instead. It would be one thing if you could turn intoMistress Heckle instantaneously, and that would require more of a toll, but to pay THIS much for it on either end of the transformation is a bit much. Buff that shiz.


In closing:

I really, REALLY like where this is going. It is rare that a two-in-one champ feels so unified in design ideals. The two forms compliment one another without competing for the same niche (like, one isn't just a better version of the other with the same strengths and weaknesses).

A few minor tweaks and this concept is basically perfect.
