@Riot- Analyzing Morde's Solo lane W. How to actually make it effective and lore-oriented

With the new ADC reworks and Masteries I believe Morde is being indirectly pushed into a solo lane role whether it be through game play or community behavior. We all know Solo Morde has issues, but given the most recent changes I believe tweaking his base stats (HP/ Armor) and developing a better understanding of his W can alleviate much of the stress.

So lets take a look at his W sans the passive which is somewhat of a non-factor now:

With an Ally: -Radius of the aura doubles (if not more), but in actuality quadruples because of ally aura. -Deals damage -Generates shield from damage -Boosts Speed (kinda meh but w/e) -Heals x 2 (you and ally) -Heal also deals damage x2 (you and ally I believe, though not entirely sure) -More shield generation!!!

Solo: -Radius is roughly his attack range 200-250 -Only heals, after a delay from casting the ability -No speed boost so very hard to actually heal from anything that can move.

So if you look at the characteristics of the two conditional states the solo ability is actually 1/4 of the duo ability . But here is the kicker... Solo W has zero relationship to Morde's Lore or Theme.

Long story short, Shadow isle is basically under new management where Morde and his Liches ransacked the place. He uses others to gain more power for his personal goals. His Duo W does exactly that. His Solo W has no interaction what so ever with its environment or other allies(slaves)

This is how you fix his solo W (excuse the lame names, but just to give an idea) -Immortal Bastion: When W is active any champion that enters the Aura triggers immortal Bastion. -When bastion triggers his aura radius increases (to the size of the Duo W). Shield passively regenerates and does not decay. All dealt damage sources generate shield (includes abilities, on-hit effects, AA, items abilities). -Liches Bane: Ally Minions enveloped by the black mist of Immortal Bastion generate shield for Mordekaiser when dealing damage to enemy units within Immortal bastions radius. % of damage dealt to Mordekaiser is transferred to ally minions within the bastion radius (Think bond of stone except more like enslavement). Thus the more minions and chaos the more powerful Mordes defense becomes. -This is similar to Hecarim W (imagine that, they are best "buddies") -Of course he still gets the heal.

What this does is create an alternate way in which his W can still act as a shield generating offensive tool without giving it blanket damage similar to it's duo form. The enemy champion can still play around it, but has to be careful when trying to engage more so then they do now. This also fits his theme and lore, which is always brought up by Riot, but is never actually played upon.
