#Intro
Crypt is a Champion, one of which NONE of you have ever laid eyes on before, and FEW have thought of the possibility of. Crypt is not Human, beast, or voidling; it is not organic, it is not cyborg, or robotic. Crypt's existence was created from the curse of a sentient sword. Its legend not created in glorious battles fought or won, or things destroyed, but by those that have made the terrible to decision to wield it, and the inevitable doom that is always sure to follow.
Due to this, Crypt fills a unique theme niche as a cursed sentient weapon that seduces morally corrupted beings to wield it, as well as an equally unique game play niche as a unit that can lend its power in the forms of abilities and utility to allied champions, and curse enemies who try to do the same, seeking to wrongly take the power for themselves.
Those that try to forcefully take control of the Black Edged Blade without its will, will know the why it is called CRYPT.
#Abilities
NOTE: Reading the Lore is VERY important to understanding how certain mechanics of Crypt will work in the game. NAMELY: how can a sword attack on its own?
Passive - Cursed Blade Crypt's AA and abilities each effect it's targets in different ways. Crypt's abilities cause enemies to become Influenced by its seductive aura. While the target is falling under it's sway, Crypt takes advantage of the target's lowered defenses to deal additional damage. Passive: Every 3rd AA (Allies gain this passive while Influenced) gains 10% bonus Armor Penetration for each Influenced stack on the target unit, and increase Cursed and Nearsight duration by 0.25 sec up to a total of 1 sec.
Q - Grave Maker: Range: Dirt-575/Blade-225 Recharge Time: 3.5 sec up to 3 charges Crypt diagonally slices upwards, right to left through the ground. Dirt and cursed energy showered forward deals light damage in a 45 degree cone and slows 40% for 2.25 sec, while the blade deals high damage in a 90 cone. Every third hit against an Influenced Champ within 9 sec taunts them for 1.5 sec.
W - Death Flourish: CD: 18/16/15/14/13 Crypt whips around a 200 radius circle, spell shielding allied units inside for 0.75 sec before continuing to quickly flourish around blocking enemy AA and dealing damage to enemies at the edge of the circle for 1.25 sec.
E - Aura of Cursed Influence: Range: 1500 radius CD: 17/15/13/11/9.5 Cost: 3 mana/sec dmg reduction: 5/8/12/15/20 (x # of Influnce Stacks) Toggle-on: Crypt releases a pulse activating a passive. Passive: The more time a combatant remains in the presence of the cursed sword the more it will begin to influence them. After an enemy champ spends 2 sec in combat with Crypt they will be marked as Influenced. Every 2 sec they will gain an Influenced stack; their sight radius is reduced by 20 units and their dmg to Crypts allies decreases. At 4 stacks they will be Cursed for 4 sec. Damage from Crypts own AA or Abilities will not damage a Cursed Champ (though they retain their respective Effects), but if the Cursed Champ attempts to attack Crypt, they will be Nearsighted instead for 3 sec. Toggle-off: Crypt deactivates it's passive slowing the target by 10% (+10% per Influenced stack).
Notes: One enemy champ can be marked at a time; the one that has currently spent the most time in combat with Crypt. If either leaves combat, the stacks stop building . Stacks drop off once every 2.5 sec if the enemy exits E's range. Ability Inhibiting CC pauses Aura of Cursed Influence for the duration of the CC.
R - Cursed Servitude: Range: 1300 units/Width: 250 units Passive: Nearsightingan Enemy reduces Ult CD by 3 sec. Active: Crypt dashes in the target direction dealing damage along the way and becomes Entangled to an ally’s position when within 350 units for 8 sec or until reactivated up to five times. Crypt floats next to them and can use abilities but, cannot give AA commands, instead when the allied champ attacks Crypt automatically attacks the same unit at the same time. Damage taken is split 50% between both, CC effects only the ally, Disarming the Ally will place Crypt behind them. AD is combined on AA’s only, take downs are granted to the ally.
#Game Play Notes: While Crypt is the actual source of executed the abilities and dealt damage, the faded specter that “wields” Crypt is the unit with the HIT-BOX. So while Crypt has a thin model and may use abilities that cause it to move incredibly fast, it doesn’t matter since the wielder is the one who will take damage. And since Crypt cannot act without a wielder, eliminating the wielder will put Crypt "out of commission."
Technically Crypt can help make Melee ADC's viable, but this was not the initial goal.
#Strengths and Weaknesses Crypt is supposed to excel in long drawn out fights that allow him to make use of his ability and primary passives. While time allows him the advantage as the target falls further and further under his sway, he increases his damage as he weakens the targets ability to effectively escape.
Crypt excels at taking on single targets. Alone targets may lack the assistance they need to deal with Crypt or his aura and will often fall prey to him alone, but along with and ally Crypt's threat is greatly reduced. This is both due to the fact that Crypt's passives only work on one target at a time, and allies of the enemy can help Crypt's targets escape him.
On the other hand Crypt lacks a lot of front loaded or any type of burst damage, thus he is susceptible to strong burst of damage that either take him out - outright or render him too low to effectively trade any further. The way that Crypt's passives are set up also make him vulnerable to CC, as that will interrupt him and make him either lose his passive and have to start over or give the enemy more time to deal with either him or his cursed aura.

#Lore
K-Tang, Kang, Tang, Tong, Tang …. T-Kang The Blacksmith took his time in the dim light. This would be his last work. He squinted at his work and his bones ached in protest on every painstaking hammer tap. The cold didn't make it any easier to move his aged joints or his stiff wizened skin, but he'd be darned if his last work wouldn't be his best. Even if no one should ever use it. The red Damascus spine of and the flat of the blade continued to steam on the anvil from the oil quench, as water dripped from the stalactites above, but from the black edge an umbral glow leaked out undulating, and throwing faint inky black shadows along the rough stone walls. The blade resonated from every blow, the very edge glinted in the low light. The blacksmith raised the hammer again, but before he could strike it, he stopped. He could not hit it, something forced him to stop; As the blade was done, so was the curse. At this point he wasn't done with the sword - the sword was done with him. No one to wield the sword would ever truly be the one in control. He raised his hammer once again, unsure of how the blade would react. He closed his eyes, and he could feel the sword's presence. He swung once more, and an unknown force slammed his arm, angling his blow. He narrowly glanced the pommel off the end of the anvil. The sword flew up in the air flipping multiple times before sinking its tip directly into the anvil.
And there it would stay for millennium, untouched, unchallenged.
The Crypt, Black Edged Blade was forged by one of the greatest weapons blacksmiths in the ages before the Rune Wars. Even in that time there were no lack of battles or wars. When he was young and ambitious he made a name and fortune for himself by crafting excellent weapons infused with magic and runes to be superior in battle. It was said that these weapons could never be dulled nor chipped, that even a hundred men of similar skill couldn't down the one that held one of his blades.
As he grew older and witnessed the atrocities of the many senseless battles, that he had previously kept himself away from, he withdrew his services from the public, realizing he had willingly taken part in them. He realized that even in the hands of those of supposedly noble causes that the royal always claimed to be of, his weapons would always cause carnage at some point. In spite he began to work in curses in his works before selling them, that the blades may be the cause of the wielders death if not the sword itself. But that wasn't enough, his conscience weighed too heavily on him for his participation in all those wars and bloodshed. He decided that he would craft a weapon to end all violence, all battles, all wars. Not a weapon to win them but to end them, for good.
In his last years of commissioned service he had built up quite a notorious reputation before finally closing his forge to anyone. The territory in the beginnings of kingdom that he had called home, cast him out. He traveled to the Ironspike Mountains to construct his forge for one last use.
Many a faction, kingdom, and legend had used the weapons of this blacksmith and some have been handed down through the ages. But none would claim permanent ownership to wield this blade, not for long.
The blade laid long in its place, ages after its own creator's name was lost to the winds of time. Left there until legend started to circulate of the grand blacksmith's last and greatest creation. Many traveled the Ironspike mountains scouring its surface, many died fruitlessly. And the few who did find it were turned away by the impossibility of pulling it from the anvil.
The legend does not end there, for one was able to pull the blade from its solid metal sheath. It is said that man lead his sellsword tribe through many successful battles until he died a horrific and unspeakable death. The sword was passed on.
Legends say wielders would go into battle against impossible numbers without realizing it until their enemies lay dead before them. In the process, they often got hurt, but didn't notice until it was too late. Not a single wielder of the sword lives, every one having met terrible ends.
The sword itself was thought to be sentient, able project its "thoughts" into the user's head and even affect their reasoning. Distance was the only true way to escape from its influence, but most died before they had a chance to break free from cursed blade’s sway. Some were back-stabbed, some murdered by bandits, slain brutally or mortally wounded in battle, some driven mad, and legends says some were even killed by the blade itself.
It came to a point that only the most power hungry, battle thirsty of people would dare risk its curse. Each wielder befell a different cursed end.
Worse yet, it is said that the last owner seen before the cursed sword slipped from civilization’s edge decades ago, still walks, yet not alive. A faded specter forced to continue to serve until it is defeated to hand the cursed blade to the next and start the cycle all over again, as cursed blade continues its tireless work.
“If you wield this sword, know - It will not obey the hand it serves; It is you that is being wielded by it, until it is done with you.” - Ryze

Secret Interactions: (You know how Tryndamere's sword impales him upon defeat? There's a historical reason to that.) Fighting Tryndamere: Ah my one of my lesser brethren, so nice to meet you again Fighting Tryndamere: Ah my lesser brethren, it appears your curse is not strong enough to keep your wielder down, allow me to demonstrate. Fighting Tryndamere: Oh lesser Bretheren, the master forger wasn't as experienced when he made you. Nor as Bitter it seems.
Buying Blade of the Ruined King Ah, a blade who's curse rivals my own.
Taunt: You know people who like to lick their blades? I hate those people. With a Passion.
Joke: Specter shifts its head down and lifts Crypt to eye level to look at it before lifting its head back up to stare straight ahead. It slowly slides Crypt into a sheath (that it pulls from behind its back out of nowhere) pausing when about an inch is left, then slamming the gap shut* “What are you do-? Hey, HEY! Don’t do that. Don’t sheath me! Wait I’m-” voice gets muffled. “‘M, talKING to, ‘UO!!”
Joke: Same animation “Deadly beautiful aren’t I - Hey it's suffocating in there don’t-” voice gets muffled, unclear words are said.
Death Animation “Uugh, you useless fool! I need a new wielder.” Crypt is knocked free from the hands of the specter/ champion that is holding it, and flips backwards over their head, and impales the ground hilt up. The specter whirls around to dash for the sword, but stops short faltering weakly staggering, takes a step back to a kneeling position and fades away as parts of its essence are stripped off and sucked into the blade. One hand is left shakily grasping at the sky before it it finally, stubbornly sucked in.
