So...y'all are about to tell me...

That not even the strongest Ascended as God-Warriors Imbued by the power of a dragon-wrought star, granted through the Sun Disk by the Very much powerful Targonians, who are an incredibly powerful star voyaging race....

Not even THEY can just merely fight against the Void creatures and the spread of its essence, and seal the Rifts the Void has created without being damaged irreparably in some way...

Not even these IMMENSELY powerful beings CANNOT go on unaffected by the mere presence of the void long enough to fight them off and seal them - not even going as far to LIVE near any Void rifts for an extended period of time. Not even they can escape the void corruption for how little time they may have spent being exposed it.

But somehow a young girl is completely untouched in any way? Come on now, if Ascended get messed up in the head JUST from fighting them... Then you guys have even less reason to allow a mere human to escape at least a similar fate.

That suit may - MAY protect her body, but if what I am reading is right, then it CAN'T protect her mind.

You're writing your self into a corner with these plot holes Riot, you have less and less rationale to stand on with your reasoning that Kai'sa somehow be an exception to the Void Corruption Rule

I want to point out that I am not mad, but I would like to call this out and ask for an explanation, if there is one. If not I patiently await the inevitable Kai'sa rework, cause she just isn't living up to the theme she was meant to fulfill.

Possible idea:

Kai'sa was in the void and fought the void but her time was mostly fighting tiny voidlings and mostly small things. She's aware that something bigger lurks in it but she's never faced it.

Comparatively, the darkin/the ascended/etc. have all fought the void at their strongest and faced some of the most horrifying things the void has to offer. Even Aurelion freaks the fuck out when he hears something laughing at him behind the tear.

Kai'sa is fighting level 1-5 void critters for about 10 years-ish.

Those guys are fighting level 110 elites and can see the void monster in the back for hundreds of years.

One of'em will destroy your sanity, the other will just kinda unnerve you.

Kai'Sa never went to the actual void that was opened during the Shurima Void Event. The rift was mostly closed by the Ascended. Currently in Shurima there are small void tears that void creatures come out of and inhabit a bunch of underground caverns and caves near Icathia and other parts of Shurima. The current Shurimans refer to that as the Void as they don't actually know of the true horrors of the void from the past war. Kai'Sa was only ever in those caverns/caves so she was never really exposed to the same void that the Ascended were exposed to.

If I was stuck in the void for ten years I'd come out a well groomed super model too; I think everyone would. The void is very good to your hair and skin.

It's not like Kai'sa is fighting the void on this kind of scale though, she merely tries to survive, she doesnt full out wage war on the entire Void and kill hundreds of thousands of them in a single battle.

Didn't the Void wipe Kai'Sa's mind and her body evolved when it touched the Void to become a weapon?

As far as the lore is concerned love is the only thing that can hurt the Void, or at least impede it. Kai'Sa's mind wasn't consumed by the Void because she was a child, and she loved her father who risked his life to save her, and even though she has forgotten who he is, her love for him is still strong enough to hold back the Void.
