This is pretty damn good!

Maybe think of changing to this?

This what I imagined in my head when I seen him from behind.

I agree that's a really badass splash, but it's simply not consistent with the larger picture.

As Reav3 stated on reddit, the updated version of Swain takes into account the cultural realities of Noxian aristocracy as well as his own personal outlook on life.

That doesn't make Swain mains happy, but Riot isn't doing all of this for that small subset of players. Riot is working on a larger narrative in a way that I would argue no other video game has ever done. I'm not even sure anyone has done this much background writing for any ip, ever (probably so, but I don't know who or what or when).

The point I'm making is that players have a very narrow scope that defines their interest in a champion. No matter how large your passion for this champion is, no player can have even half of the larger picture in mind, considering that so much of the universe is being planned and designed behind closed doors.

Give it some time before you decide that it's a bad art direction. I'm not saying you have to like it, but I am saying that we don't have enough info about the larger picture to really make interesting critique yet. That, in itself, could be an interesting critique of Riot's strategy here, but let's at least wait to see Swain's updated lore and short story before we start taking shots at the art itself.

I'd take the new haircut, though the beard just feels off to me.
