Swain, a shadow of his former self.

He is not even a shadow of his former self sadly, I mained him for years, the champion is a mess ATM.

People are literally maining him with trinity force or iceborn gauntlet atm and literally going an auto attack build with grasp......as a frickin support too....these are literally his main builds, because people can't make him work any other way.

Don't get me wrong, on paper and the idea they were going for was sound, but the execution is a mess and just needs some small tuning.

Passive - Make it so his passive stores 1/3/6 souls per minions/large-minion/champion and not a 5/5 type system, more like he can can keep stacking souls (ill tell you why in ult later)

Q - Firstly his Q needs fixing and just needs to pass through everything so he isn't an extreme headache to play and needs the close range shotgun effect removed.

because even if you hit every single bullet the damage isn't exactly op, make it something you hold down and channel, like a channeled lightning you can use whilst moving.

W - His W is very thematic and the idea behind it is sound and makes lore sense, but it is simply useless sadly, change it to something that gives him more in fight duel/ 1vX power

E - The E is fine, it would be cool if you could detonate it at any time by pressing E again.

Ultimate - His ultimate is the one thing that definitely needs fixed, make it gargantuanly more powerful and remove the explosion, that was their whole idea they said they were going for when they were making him, that is what they said on the patch notes

That they were gonna make him a RAID BOSS (with his ult) like nasus, not a insta killer mage. (which he isn't even an insta killer now either) as his old ult was only something that worked if you were ahead, not if you were behind.

The whole idea was to increase his ults cooldown AND give it a cost too.

SO it could in turn be a LOT more powerful than it's old 20 sec cooldown counter part, and it could be a true oh shit button that let you turn the tide, even if you were behind.

But now it has a soul cost, AND a giant cooldown, yet it is FAR WEAKER than the old swains ult in terms of damage per second and healing, I really just have no idea what they are thinking anymore.....that is completely contrary to the design they were going for.

His old damage was 50/70/90, now 35/50/65 with all these giant costs.....like wtf dude I feel like this was excuse to nerf him (0.1 ap scaling aswell, down from 0.2)

It is just now far weaker with a lot more of a cost.

My Idea: Make it 66 sec cooldown, give it it's old mana cost, AND a soul cost, but make it that for each soul uses 1 second of time in the ult, and maybe it costs 5-10 to activate.

REMOVE THE EXPLOSION, KEEP IT A POWER FORM, NOT A BURST.

Then with not only a giant cooldown, a giant mana cost AND a giant new soul cost mechanic, you can justifiably make it an extremely powerful tank/damage form because of it's gigantic costs.

Give it 300/500/666 max health upon use, -30% damage tanken, damage per second 70/90/110 +30% AP scaling, healing 50/65/75 + 16% AP.

Duration, as long as you have mana and souls, run out of either and it ends.

His old self was more problematic, why else would he remain in a gutted state until his rework? If he was strong, he was oppressive. Simple logistics to follow with fossil kits such as his, Akalis, Aatroxs, Amumu, Trynd, you name it. Old kits in this new design either make or break things depending on what causes it, although in Aatrox's case he was just becoming good. W change kinda made him OP, but he wasn't at the state as something like Riven is.

I mean, I kinda agree, but what you're asking for is a middle-scale rework, not a simple balance change, and there are a LOT of other champs that are higher priority for such a rework.

So yeah, sure, but like, in 3 years?
