Humor me for a moment and pretend that Square Enix was cool with Riot giving Riven and Yasuo FF7 skins. Riven would be Cloud, while Yasuo would be Sephiroth.

I'm pretty sure Veigar was originally designed as a Black Mage in Final Fantasy, the White-themed Veigar obviously alludes to the White Mage.

well there a re a bunch of runaway for teh copyright and the reason why they don't do those skins is not because of copyright infringements but conflic of interest. Most of the skins that were reference to a movie or some character (like king rammus and bowser and gandalf and grey beard veigar) were designed when lol was relatively small, they were using teh references as a bait to get players i.e. those franchises were bigger than riot games. Now riot games is easily as big if not bigger than those and they have no business whatsoever giving free publicity, if enix woudl come and said they wanted a skin based on one of their characters (maybe as a way to promote a new game or something) riot would most likely do it but riot gains nothing out of doing it for free
