Having trouble getting motivated enough to finish, or even continue making champion conepts.

After learning that Riot will not actually take the champion concepts themselves for league, but instead use the concepts to influence their own champion creations, I've found it hard to get motivated enough to work on my concepts and finish them. This is a problem since My most recent one that is nearly done, has had input and assistance provided by another community member, who has even felt strongly enough about the concept that he volintarily created artwork for it. Since I really do not want his time and effort having been wasted, I'm asking anyone if there is a way to get motivated about my projects again. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I feel you bro I worked on a mage nightmare champion like nocturne for a month then just lost motivation when I faced the same reality your facing but all I can say is don't give up on it there are so many good (and bad idea's) on this board stay strong.

I think the reason Riot uses our champion concepts to influence theirs instead just using them out right is a lot people expect to get that champion for free when released. Personally I would be grinding to get IP like Veigar to AP.

Anyways reasons to continue

to make the first champion to make it from the boards to in game as is.
to spit the defeat's eye.
I really want to play The War Maiden (she is haunting my dreams)

I have the same problem as you. I have a huge file just sitting in my documents with a large quantity of champions that belong to every role, some are done some aren't. I just don't feel like putting the effort into completing them if nothing will really come from it. But I remembered that I started making them because i find it enjoyable.

i totally feel you. there isn't that much of a motivating factor for posting concepts anymore. Although, at least you have someone to do artwork for you; if you didn't your post would simply be buried by new ones because people down voted it since it had no picture. -_- Aside from the experiences of all of us non-artistically inclined people...... it would be awesome and a huge motivating factor if someone's champ made it in-game so keep at it and support others while you're at it.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
