The boy wondered why his village would fall. Was it because of the trolls that would come? Because he was forsaken by the man who held insane power? As the surroundings became hectic due to the panicked evacuation, he pondered . . . .

"Next"

The guard of the city gates called out.

"I said next!" "Y-yes!"

The boy stumbled out from the crowd of villagers then presented his badge of proof and identity. Leaning over, the guard squinted his eyes.

"Hm(squinting). Your name is Ashin, huh" "Um, Yes sir!"

The boy knew it was a misunderstanding due to the guard's failing vision, but decided it was too much work to correct him. . . .

His bones were screaming in excruciating pain as he curled up in a fetal position. The trolls were back, and an especially large one wielded a conspicuously large pillar of ice. With blue skin and a bloody main of fur, it was the epitome of a troll warlord. It prodded the boy with its toes and ordered the remaining trolls to pillage the city. Suddenly, a nearby workshop exploded with a big bang and a skull cross, and the boy was blown away unconscious.

"Hey! Wake up!"

A girl that looked like she would get an infinity in a beauty contest had squatted down and poked the boy's nose. She was dressed in rags and on the ground nearby were several dirty fruits.

"I'm up, I'm up"

When the boy came flying from the air earlier, the girl had instinctively closed her eyes and held her arms out, not noticing the strong rush of wind that accompanied her actions.

"So, what is your name, boy?" "I'm Ae- . . . Ashin"

After a while of caring the boy as if he was her little brother, the girl left him one day, when she gained a newfound interest in the elemental magic of air. Now old enough to do odd jobs, like delivering letters, the boy earned a living. Unfortunately, people often mistook him as Aishim because of his stammering speech when he first introduced himself. On top of that, he had lost his badge of proof and identity when he was subjected to the explosion during the troll invasion.

"Aishim, can you be a good courier and deliver this?" [random house wife] "I will ensure it arrives safely ma'am"

It was at that moment that a strong gust of healing wind rushed past and the letter was blown out of Aishim's fingers. Shocked, then flustered, Aishim chased after the fluttering letter. It was too late when Aishim noticed that he had stepped onto a whirling blue portal, and along with the letter, Aishim was whisked off to who knows where.

"Pfffffft, ha ha ha!"

Aishim woke up to peals of laughter and saw a young purple skinned girl scampering around willy nilly. The girl was whimsically transforming critters into smaller critters and other children around her into larger versions of themselves. At some point in time, the girl tried to cast one of those two spells onto Aishim, but with the sound of glass shattering, the spell failed.

"You're no fun, leeaavveee!"

Just minutes after waking, Aishim was forced to leave the vibrant green land and stepped out into a city full of shorties. More specifically a species that he had never seen before. Nearby, a cute little ball of purple was cackling evilly as it read a picture book of a far away land. Somehow, Aishim had a deep feeling of foreboding doom when he looked at it, so he quickly left the vicinity. . . .

P.S. it appears the cackling ball of purple wrecked the neighborhood with a giant mass of purple energy after Aishim left

Years later, Aishim noticed that he was aging at an extremely low rate, and no longer needed to sleep or rest. Perplexed, he woke up one day to a vortex of magic swirling around himself. . . .

"So this is what happens when I snap my right hand fingers"

Aishim snapped his left hand fingers and a dense mass of blue light appeared, coating his right hand in the shape of a sphere. He then took a stance and made a motion as if throwing a pebble. The sphere shrank as he threw it at his target. The target was a large, flying type bird, and the sphere automatically corrected itself to hit the target when ever it moved. When the sphere hit, the bird stopped moving and started up again in the blink of an eye; however, a large hole had opened up in its body, leading to its fall downwards.

"Success! Now then, what if I do this instead"

Aishim snapped his right hand this time and . . . nothing happened.

"What's this? I thought something would happen?"

Frowning unhappily, Aishim wondered if he could only throw destructive balls of blue light. Sighing, he focused down at his left hand and snapped his fingers and . . .

"Again? Am I out of mana or something!"

Frustrated, Aishim kept snapping the finger on his left hand until he felt a a gush of wind and a flash of heat. Upon noticing that, Aishim looked up to see as many spheres of flaming wind as the number of times he snapped the fingers on his left hand.

"So that is where all my mana went, let's nod knowingly and pretend I knew what I was doing"

Nodding knowingly, Aishim snapped with his right in some random direction. Unlike his previous spell, the flaming wind spheres did not have a homing function and with a whoosh, the wall of flaming wind spheres rushed forward dealing damage. When a sphere made contact with an object, the object was incinerated and blown back several feet away from Aishim.

"One would think this spell would be fast with the wind element, but maybe the rest of the mana goes to damage and pushing others away. The majority of the mana must be for damage, with the minority of the mana used going to pushing."

Continuing to nod knowingly, Aishim wrote into a journal while laughing evilly. --The left hand by itself produces a homing spell that mini stuns for a short moment, but when I use my right, a delay state is produced and a different spell is made with my left during this delay state. When I snap my right hand a second time in a direction, the delay state is released and a number of spells corresponding to the number of left hand snaps move in that direction, dealing damage and providing a slight push back effect. It appears the flame in the sphere is used to damage and the wind that moves the flame also moves the target upon contact.--

"It looks like I can't use my first spell while my second one is active, but oh well. Now what will happeEEHHHH-"

It appears that Aishim acted faster than he spoke, but this is what happened. He snapped both hands simultaneously and an explosion occurred near his posterior region, causing the surroundings close to him to wilt and burn. While his surroundings were wilting and burning, Aishim was sent flying. Upon landing, another explosion sounded to soften the impact of landing, causing yet another phenomenon of wilting and burning in the surroundings.

". . . Let's nod knowingly and forget the fact that someone can misunderstand this as a bad case of bodily functions"

A while of testing later, Aishim whipped out his trusty journal and began to write by conjuring a pencil made of mana. If one were to look into his journal, they would mistake it for magical runes. --Taking off and landing with this third spell causes damage at both instances. The damage and AoE increases with the size of the blast, and the size of the blast also determines the distance flown. Luckily, I can make the explosion happen at the soles of my feet, but I sometimes accidentally spawn the explosion at an inconvenient location . . .-- Afterwards, he dropped his journal onto a nearby blue rock and took several steps forward while stretching like a cat.

"Let's not forget the fourth spell! What do I do to activate it now. Thinking thinking thinking" "I got it!"[unknown voice] "I got what? . . . WHAT?!"[Aishim]

Aishim looked back at the blue rock and took note of the fact that his journal was missing. As the next course of action, he also took note that this rock was attached to a similarly blue pillar. As the final course of action, Aishim belatedly remembered that the blue rock was not there a moment ago. Glaring at the blue blooded troll, Aishim spoke.

"Oi, you troll, hand that over to me"[Aishim] "No, it looks like a forbidden grimoire of rune magic"[troll]

Having been there long enough to witness Aishim's power, the troll made use of its legs, which were much longer than Aishim's. Aishim stared after the troll with disbelief written all over his face. Coming to his senses, Aishim began his vindictive pursuit of the unexpected thief.

"Thief! Thief! Somebody, anybody! Catch tha- Oh wait, I'm too far away from civilization for anyone to hear me"

¯ Along with the figure of the troll rapidly fading off in the distance, Aishim bent down to pick up a small badge the troll dropped on the run.

"This is. It is! My badge of proof and identity. Ah, my name, it has been so long since I have last seen it."

¯ Holding out his right hand, Aishim created his pencil of mana and wrote straight onto thin air.

"My name is Aetheis, and I command thee to show thyself. Magic taken from the Rune Mage, invent thyself from my memory"

¯ A person sized vortex of magic opened parallel to Aetheis's face, and he attempted to walk through it but

"Ouch, it appears I will need some technique to go through this since it is incomplete"

Smiling devilishly, Aetheis snapped his left and right hand fingers simultaneously and was launched through the portal. Meanwhile, at the troll's locale of rest

"Boss will surely reward me if I give him this forbidden grimoire of rune magic"[troll] "Oh, will he?" "Yes, yes he will?"[troll]

Widening its eyes, the troll's eyes darted to where the voice originated from, only to find a bright flash of light as the explosion from the third spell finished its secondary stage: the landing.

--The fourth spell appears to mark the target within sight, and even if the target moves out of sight range, the mark indicates its location. A portal is then opened for a duration and can only be used for the purpose of teleportation with a cover of transverse magic. In this case, the third spell becomes the transverse magic. Curiously, the landing damage increases according to far the caster is teleported, regardless of the initial explosion size. The AoE upon landing is fixed though.--

Some time later, summoners of the League of Legends noticed Aetheis's ability, and approached him for the purpose of recruiting.

"Aetheis the Apprentice of Magic, the League of Legends invites you to battle eternally in the Summoner's Rift. The conditions of accepting are: blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah . . . and thus, you must make yourself known as the new champion in the Summoner's Rift, with your name, personality, abilities, lore, and most importantly the influence point price and riot point price determined by the ALL MIGHTY RITO(!)"

"Nah, dun wanna"[Aetheis]

"But, but, it is the ALL MIGHTY RITO(!)"

"I still dun wanna"[Aetheis]

"You have no choice, the summoners have already put you into the list of available and purchasable champions"

"AHHHHHHHHHH, I'm being summoned! . . . So this is the Summoner's Rift . . . Greetings summoner, fear my forbidden grimoire of rune magic, if you will"

And so, Aetheis the Apprentice of Magic fought.
