Taric's Minor Disabilities
For the sake of people who have never seen a Taric before, I will add a link to a wiki.
Taric is rarely seen in many games in LoL. Melee supports are undesirable unless they can do things that greatly benefit their team members, such as alistar, who can give a 2 seconds stun(technically) and knock back champs, or blitz, who can pull in, knock up, and silence champs. Taric, however, can do neither of these(change the location of an enemy to a favorable position). The point that Taric needs a buff, nerd, or a rework is entirely up to the reader, but in my vision, he needs both a slight rework and buff. His passive requires him to physically melee hit a target, which is not a pretty sight in the bottom lane, as it will require approaching the adc and his support.
What if his Passive was changed so that after every ability, in addition to its current effects, Taric's next basic attack becomes a long ranged attack(The blue light forms into one ball from his hands and than shoots out in a laser like beam, it gets weaker for each consecutive entity pierced(by 10% down to 50% and can not go any lower)). This attack gets weaker the farther it travels(100% melee range to 75% farthest range) and scales according to 10/20/30/40/50% of his armor(and 100% of his total attack damage). In addition, the cd it gives becomes 1/2/3 seconds and applies a 10% slow(that lasts for 2 seconds) on the first enemy hit(it can only slow one enemy at a time, hence the first enemy pierced is the only one slowed), the effect can not stack but can be renewed, and each consecutive reapplication before the slow disappears renews the slow and applies half as much slow as before(example-1st hit=10% 2nd hit=15% 3rd hit=17.5% 4th hit=18.75%). This passive has a cd of 1 second and can stack up to four times(four times = 4 hits = 18.75% slow) permanently until consumed by auto attacking(after attacking it has a cd of 5 seconds). The more stacks Taric has, the more slow he he applies with his next hit(1 stack = 10% - 4 stacks = 18.75%) and the longer his range will be when consuming the stacks to use a long range basic attack. In addition, 1 stack = 1 permanent armor 2 stack = 2 permanent armor etc.
Taric's Q is quite a healing weapon, provided it can be constantly used. Therefore, I suggest a static cool down of 10 and the maximum mana cost of 100 and also heal based on his total health not his bonus health(5% total health). However, using it on himself should cost 1 permanent stack of armor and 150 mana and also be more effective by 100% and apply a temporary 10 armor de-buff that lasts for 15 seconds. This de-buff can stack infinitely but the duration will not be increased but renewed.
The W, his Shatter move, is a very strong move. Instead of shattering to deal damage, he should be able to press W to either shatter his shards of crystal and send them to stun one enemy for 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2 seconds and also apply a crippling 1 second slow(20/30/40/50/60%) to any enemies in a small radius around the stunned enemy. This should scale in mana by 50/65/80/95/110. If he uses it on an ally, however s/he will become immune to any de-buffs for 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2 seconds and is granted a crystal shield that blocks 1 ability for 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2 seconds. If he uses it on himself, than Taric will become invulnerable and immobilized for 1 second and apply a temporary 50% armor de-buff on himself that lasts for 2 seconds after coming out of invulnerability. Using it this way will increase the mana cost by 100% and permanently decrease an armor stack by 1. While off cool down he regains his armor buff but instead of giving off a armor buff, he emits a aura that can increase mp/energy regeneration according to his total armor.
The E is called Dazzle, of course. However, a puny ball of light coming from a shield doesn't look nor sound appealing. Similar to the current Dazzle, which increases in damage the closer to the target, I suggest something new. Currently, Taric shoves his shield forward to detach some energy from his gems to his target. Instead, in addition to his current damage values, what if Taric can use the power of his gems envelope himself in a ball of energy that prevents anyone from applying crowd control to him and lunges a short distance(like nidalee's pounce) and slam his shield on the ground to apply damage that decreases the farther he is from the target(upon landing he receives a .25 second stun and loses the cc invulnerability). It will also scale with armor(details un decided) This energy resonates in a circle around Taric and the closer the target is, the longer the target will be taunted by .25/.5/.75/1/1.25 seconds. If he taunts an enemy champ he loses a stack of armor. If he taunts 5 champs he loses 5 stacks of armor. If he hits nothing or hits neutral monsters(not minions) he gains a stack of armor. The cd will scale by 20/17/14/11/8 seconds and the mana cost will be increased by 50/70/90/110/130.
The R today is a hammer banging the ground to apply damage and give him a buff. The cd will be 100/80/60 and cost 100/120/140 mana. He will also lose 10/20/30 stacks of armor. Upon usage he will not just bang the ground but he welds his hammer and shield together to form a shining sword of light. This state lasts for 10/15/20 seconds and upon activation he can either pull an ally or enemy towards himself. Taric is also granted 4 stacks of his passive for the duration, giving him unlimited long ranged attacks for the duration of this ultimate move. The slows are increased from 18.75% to 80%. However, the slows will only apply fully if the enemy he attacks is facing the general direction of Taric. If the enemy is not facing Taric, the slows are decreased to 10%, no matter how many times Taric attacks unless the enemy if facing Taric, which than brings the slow to a full 80%.
