Mordekaiser Rework

This rework focuses heavily on the concept of a tank by magic. Providing Mordekaiser with survivability and a late game where his abilities have a lot to offer team fights. I tried making sure this kit still looks and feels like Morde.

Passive: Iron Man:

  • Mordekaiser gains a shield equal to 5% of his Maximum Mana every time he deals damage with an ability.
  • Killing an enemy Champion grants Mordekaiser a shield equal to 15% his Maximum Mana.

Q: Mace of Spades:

  • First cast: Mordekaiser’s next basic attack deals extra damage, and stuns the enemy for 1 second, and granting Mordekaiser additional shield if the target was a new Champion within 30 seconds.
  • Second cast: Mordekaiser’s next basic attack knocks back enemies in a cone, granting Mordekaiser additional shield for each target that hits terrain.

W: Harvesters of Sorrow

  • Mordekaiser channels his metal into an aura around him that deals additional damage based on Mordekaiser’s current shield amount.

E: Siphon of Destruction:

  • Passive: Mordekaiser’s basic attacks apply lifesteal, which is added to Mordekaiser’s shield and every 3rd attack against the same target marks it for 3 seconds.
  • Active: Damages marked units and drains Movement Speed for 3 seconds.

Ultimate: Children of the Grave:

  • Summons a large pool of shrouded metal for up to 6 seconds. Enemies in the shroud become increasingly near sighted and have their Movement and Attack Speed slowly drained as the metal shroud thickens around them.
  • If W is cast while R is active, the damage is dealt to all enemies in the shroud.

About as bad as Riots concepts

Two kinds of people. ^^

Personally, I'm not a Morde player, I only ever played him once in a Custom with a friend for one of his millions of bugs, so I can't speak from a Morde view, but from a normal player's view, this does look better for a couple of reasons-- one being the obvious decrease in potential bugs, but the other being that he'd have more impact in teamfights than just picking a champion (or drake/dragon) and turning them on their team after they die. This also fits with his thematic and still retains some parts of his current kit. Overall pretty gucci. But then again, I have no clue about Morde and can't really speak on its efficiency from a Morde main's view, so I might be completely wrong and whatever.

Perhaps his ult should also still have dragon force, or he can only have epic monsters as ghosts. Or maybe his ult does not take ghosts but gives a percentage of the targeted champions statisics, like 25% of their max health, half of their bonus AD, and all of their AP. Balance shift the #s, but yeah.
