Aatrox rework concept

So I was thinking about aatrox, and how infinite lifesteal aatrox will be gone soon. It made me actually think about him from a different perspective.

I've decided to look at his kit a little closer, and thought "so they want him to wind up to his real power, somebody you should burst down before they ramp up"

And i looked at his ult, his lore, and his passive.

Here's how i would work this all in.

Aatrox should have his passive lose the a/s, and move it to his w as a scaling gain. in place of his passive winding up with his blood well, we can give him additional range based on his well, eventually being on par with his ult's range.

Now his R, the ult... How could i replace this?

I looked to lore, apparently Aatrox and his ilk are pretty good at falling from the sky to start inspiring armies, so why not have his ult be a global version of his Q, which when cast can give all of his allies within range some Move speed, Spell vamp, attack speed, CDR, and Life steal along with some red shaders and smoke effect coming off of each of them to make them feel like they've gotten aatroxed.

Oo You're talking Shen-ult esque stuff there~ That would be pretty cool. I think a channeled tp in the vicinity of an ally (maybe even an ally under a certain amount of HP) would fit very nicely with his lore.

Are you suggesting removing his survival passive? Just asking to be clear.

I think the idea of a global Q is interesting, but would feel exactly like Pantheon's ult. But we don't have to avoid duplicate abilities entirely. I guess the real question is: what does it add to his playstyle? Not just a lore reason, but what would it do to the game that you want to have?

with a ramped up passive he would play somewhat like an adc, and would be a viable mid laner, but with the a/s nerf he'd have a harder time going top to outsustain the tanks or jg... so he'd have a different lane all together.

If you remove his second life passive effect, it'd be pretty heavy of a hit to him, maybe make up the loss with some passive buffs to his move speed and tank stats

his new ult would make him able to turn team fights by allowing allies to heal up by lifesteal, it'd also give him better objective control, jumping in the baron pit alongside a tanky jg would allow a good steal

Are you suggesting it though? I get the impression you aren't from your reply. (If you had said yes, I would have suggested moving it to his (new) ult. But while strong, it's also quite iconic.)

So are you saying that it would work if he was killed while ulted? I like that in all honesty.

The resurrect passive to me is awesome and iconic, but i feel as though balancing with it in play makes an overall weaker champion unless it has more situational use

Actually it would make sense if the ult's aura lasted until aatrox was killed or out of combat, and if he gets bursted down he can come back up losing all his bloodwell stacks and whatnot

Yeah, that was sort of what I was thinking. I like it.
