Copyright issues on Dawngate map?

The Dawngate

I was wondering if we could do a bit of a copy/paste of The Dawngate map for use in League of Legends and what that would entail. Fans of Dawngate can no longer play that game since the servers were closed in February, 2015. The map had a lot of cool and innovative takes on a MOBA map like the ever-evolving parasite (the Baron Nashor of the map), the four spirit wells (altars like those in Twisted Treeline that influence passive gold generation), and of course you cannot forget the guardian; a huge boss who defends the nexus by attacking you with skill shots while you try taking out all of its nodes.

So I wanted to know how much of this would be feasible to recreate for a new map in League of Legends. I don't know much of this EA still owns and how much the devs in League could legally take/recreate to bring back this once great map :)

There wouldn't be any copyright issues if League made their own version. That said, Riot will probly not make a new map. The 4 that they have now (Summoners Rift, Crystal Scar, Howling Abyss, and Twisted Treeline) are basically all they need. There would have to be an EXTREMELY justified reason for them to create a completely new map. Even though it stays relatively the same, an incredible amount of effort goes in to keep Summoners Rift fresh, whether it's changing where brush is located, the damage of jungle creeps, adding or taking away new buffs. Heck, just going with that they added Rift Herald just under a month ago.
