Tenacity- this stat reduces the time a champion is affected by crowd control

The types of crowd control that ignore Tenacity are:

  1. suppression
  2. knockups and other forms of displacements
  3. forced stasis

Note: Tenacity does not affect the strength of a slow but just the duration of the slow

Good job doing that list. This clearly shows why this game needs tenacity working on knock ups and displacements. Or if that is not good enough there should be implemented a well known feature that increases skill floor of using CC. If a champion has been recently affected by CC the next CC duration are lowered (including knock ups etc.). That promotes proper use of chain CC and organized gameplay. You still have full duration of CC in lane 1v1 so its fine.

Since you added Anivia’s and Trundle’s terrain displacements as CC, it’s interesting to note that even Camille has a small knockback on her E.

It’s a stupid 0.2s knockback, but that’s worth noting maybe?

A ton of those are short knockups combined with a longer stun that IS affected by tenacity. In particular you can totally utilize tenacity against Sion.

Most of these last a fraction of a second, and many physically wouldnt work if you added tenacity (hooks, for example).

There are a couple of pretty important things when talking about knock ups/backs being affected by tenacity.

First, and most obvious, a majority of knockup/backs are weaker than their tenacity effecting counterparts (as a whole, there are exceptions, obviously). That is a pretty important thing to remember.

Second, gameplay fluidity. How fucked up would it be if I used Zac's Q on someone with a decent amount of tenacity? What would happen? They would either, not be pulled the full distance, which would negate the slam together damage, or they would be pulled together at a slower rather, which would just be awkward and uncomfortable for everyone.

And lastly, consistency. Some skills require that consistent knockback in order to be played. Someone like Azir's Dash-Ult combo. Or Lee Sins Insec kick. It would just add another layer of pointless confusion if Tenacity reduced the distance that the target was moved.

How do you program pushback? By decreasing the distance of the push or increasing the push speed? Decreasing the distance will make Vayne condemn harder and any champion grabbed drop mid travel and stuck inside wall Anivia Trundle . Increasing the push speed make enemy grabbed by Darius able to act before him. How will work Yasuo ult? If it can't be decreased by tenacity they have to program a new unique cc for him.

Tenacity aint useless. That's one thing I can say with 101% certainty that the boards are shitting themselves for over nothing. Quite a few of those champs with irreducible have either a very short duration on that cc or along with that, reducible cc. The boots that almost any class can buy also give mr as well as tenacity. If anything champs with knock ups or whatever can be focused on in isolation if they get out of hand. If you notice it's not 'knock up meta'.

This is an excellent list, one I think that shows just how badly Tenacity as a stat has been affected by displacement creep in-game. On a count I had made half a year ago, around 30% of all CC in champion kits ignore Tenacity, and the above seems to indicate this number hasn't changed by much. My personal opinion on this is that the way crowd control has been implemented in the game is becoming increasingly outdated, and needs an under-the-hood rework for the sake of clarity and consistency, particularly with regards to Tenacity: if Tenacity is meant to stay as an anti-CC stat, it should reduce all crowd control, and not have a laundry list of exceptions. If crowd control is being designed with the explicit goal of not being countered by a stat, then Tenacity needs to go completely, and crowd control should be rebalanced accordingly. Right now, we're at this point where a ton of champions get to have their cake and knock it up too, where Tenacity is becoming increasingly relevant against increasingly common forms of crowd control, in an environment where the wider availability of CDR has caused the uptime of CC on champions to increase by two-thirds in many cases. This is obviously not healthy for classes who were balanced around being weak to pre-CDR creep levels of crowd control, but it's also detrimental to game clarity overall, since there is no truly consistent counter to crowd control (look at how even Riot themselves mistakenly thought Cleanse countered Malzahar's suppression, for example).

While I don't remotely have the interest/time to be quite as developed as you in addition to having the flu- plus I don't imagine this will be seen as easily- I'll give a rudimentary list of all CC tenacity does work on that I know of. Remember that attack speed slows are affected by tenacity as well. It's not just CC that stops movement. *"I believe" means I am not sure this is true and didn't look it up.

Total number of champions who have abilities reducible by cc: 115 - everyone if you count items. Note that 0 items can be purchased that provide irreducible-tenacity-CC to the enemy. Number of abilities reducible by Tenacity: Nope the willingness-to-care-with-the-flu ends right here. I think it's like 175+ and that's not counting how a lot of the slows can tick repeatedly on you like Ziggs or Tali E that allow you to be slowed multiple times by the same ability. Unlike irreducible CC, which is only ever applied once per-ability. And I'm also fairly sure I missed a few cause I looked at this later and Brand's ult slows and Graves's smokescreen slows and I forgot those when making the list. So that's 116 champions with CC affected by tenacity.

Small comment, Corki's Special Delivery is essentially his ultimate. I realize it's not mapped to his R, but it has an ultimate level cooldown/impact. It is also what the ult timer on his friendly portrait is tracking, so overall it functions as a very long cooldown ultimate.

I just noticed Taliyah is missing in the "Number of champions with 2 separate abilities that are irreducible by Tenacity" category. 0/10 literally unreadable, fix pls
