Champion Concept: Senna, the Unwavering Spirit (Lucian's Wife)

Okay, so creating a champion concept revolving around Lucian's wife might be a little controversial- but it's totally plausible. I figure (by reading Thresh's lore) it wouldn't be impossible for a soul to escape his lantern. The only thing we know is that these souls are in agony. I figure- someone with strong spiritual determination could surpass this agony, and rise out of this hell. Senna is that soul.

LORE

Battle Against Thresh Senna rolled to the left, and Lucian dashed to the right. The spirit stood stunned. They took their shots, and vaporized the spirit into a cloud of embers. Senna stood up from her kneel, and gazed into the night. She had a particular feeling about the chill in the air, and the fear in the face of the moon. Lucian began to approach her, his stride was confident, as always. "Senna, what is troubling you?" She stared into his eyes, they were so full of love. "I don't know, my love," she said after a moment, "it's nothing to worry about. Just a feeling, it will pass." She smiled a re-assuring grin, and he squinted critically. "Whatever you say, Dear." "We should keep going," Senna replied, trying to ignore the sudden chill down her spine.

They began to travel north, to the closest village. The village wasn't very far now, they would only have to travel a few more hours. The hills made the journey long, for they had to be cautious. Hills make for excellent cover, and are perfect for being ambushed. But Senna and Lucian had done this hundreds of times, and made quick work of navigating the peaks of ridges. The night grew darker even though the moon shone brighter, and the air became stiff and chill. They could see their breath escape them. Then a figure appeared on an adjacent hillside, as a silhouette against the moon. A wretched laughter came from the figure, echoing with the steel chime of chains. Senna stood, staring. The figure was a dozen yards off, but she could see his face as if he were right in front of her.

"Senna! Move!," Lucian shouted desperately. He had already jumped out of the way of the hook thrown by the shade, but Senna stood- transfixed. The hook speared her in the chest, then grabbed her by the sternum. The spirit pulled, and in a flash she had been thrown into some mysterious barrier. "Senna! Noo!", Lucian's voice faded. She felt herself lift from her body, so peacefully at first. Then, she felt hot, like she had been on fire. "Ahh! Aaahh! Help me! Lucian! Help me!," she yelled. But, it was too late.

Thresh's Lantern "Please!" "Oh! Please!" "Mommy!" "Sarah!" "Please! Help me!," the voices all shouted. It was constant agony. Inexplicable agony. It was no natural pain or anguish, nothing opposite of it. If anything at all existed in that prison, it was the will to leave. Only the will. Souls were so tortured by this existence, they couldn't construct a means for escaping such a plane. If that is, in fact, what this place was. The floors were baron, gritty like hard ground or soft metal. The place was bright, yet there seemed to be no source of light. There was no sky, but there was a large black sun, that stood unwavering.

People sometimes crossed each other, flying or walking by- always in insane agony. People just wandered aimlessly in their suffering, and were seemingly unaware of others. Many can't even recognize themselves anymore, and have forgotten themselves completely. And some have forgotten speech, and ramble incoherently. But a few have maintained themselves to some point of intelligent being. Yet, even these few seem to lack ambition in their suffering. These few are gathered- knowing themselves and capable of speech, they prefer to stay relatively close. They sit together, at times, and discuss trivialities to wander from their pain... but they rarely concern themselves with matters of importance, because it increases their agony. Days felt like years. Only madness can come from plotting in this cursed prison.

"Lucian! Help! Aahhh!,"Senna screamed, dropping to her knees. She began moaning a fierce grunt. 'Pull yourself together Senna,' she thought to herself. She stood up, and looked around. "Where am I?," she asked herself aloud with pain in her voice. She began to walk aimlessly, for at this point nothing could distinguish the definition of direction. What seemed like weeks had passed, but she maintained course. Despite the travel, it didn't ware on her. Only sheer existence seemed to take its toll here, so she figured to keep moving. Soon enough, just a minute after she decided to turn right, she encountered dozens of people, some of them screaming in babbles, there was a man hugging his knees in mid air, and a few children running on air, screaming in terrifying squeals that seemed to make the agony take grip. Senna approached an elderly woman sitting on the ground. "Where are we?," she asked. But nobody paid Senna attention.

Senna had approached everyone, and in the end- was the only one able to escape this place. Only Senna had her wits about her, and she quickly devised a plan. After a while of poking at the few coherent people for information, she discovered that the black sun in the sky will eclipse before new people arrive. Many believe the sun is a portal, but the agony intensifies the higher you climb. "The sun is always eclipsing, but its not producing much light now is it?," said one of the persons.

Senna took off. She lifted slowly, at first, and sure enough the feeling strengthened. She lifted herself higher still, the suffering trying to pull her own. "Lucian." Images of life began flashing like shots from her weapon. She climbed, surpassing everyone. She was almost there, the sun began another eclipse. Horrible waves of hatred flowed through and her feeling increased tenfold. Senna gasped, and began to fall, "No!" She stopped, fuelled by her determination of will, and climbed again. It was bright, yet it wasn't. And with great effort, Senna reached the eclipse. It was almost soothing to the touch, a familiar kind of pain- the pain of life. She climbed into the eclipse like an attic. Everything became white light and a haunting falsetto hiss. Then- brief nothing.

Back In Runeterra... Senna's spirit was thrown out of a lantern in a blast, destroying the area and knocking out the warden spirit. Senna was launched from the lantern at incredible speeds, landing over a few towns away. She woke up against a mountain side. 'What was that!?,' she thought, a little caught off guard. She look around, 'I've made it back,' she thought proudly. She looked down at her hands. She was almost transparent with a bluish hue. "Lucian... We will cleanse this land for eternity."

Abilities

Passive- Determined Will

  • Senna grows determined the longer she fights. Casting an ability gives Senna a stack of Determination. If Senna targets a champion with ability, she gains two stacks instead. Senna never loses determination. For every ten stacks of Determination, Senna gets a stack of Determined Will. Each stack of Determined Will grants Senna +10% Mana Regen. When Senna obtains a stack of Determined Will, her next basic attack restores 5% of her maximum mana.

Q- Phantom Light/ Purifying Light Mana Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds

  • (active): Senna summons a phantom of the weapon she used to carry. Senna shoots in a straight shot, and a ghostly burst fires- damaging all enemies hit, and marking them.
  • Phantom Light deals 40/60/85/100/120 +5% of Senna's Ability Power in damage.
  • Basic attacks against marked enemies restore mana, and deal additional damage against marked champions. - 1.5% mana restored for minions and neutral monsters
  • 3% mana restored for champions, +5% of Senna's Ability Power in bonus damage.
  • Enemies lose their mark after being attacked, or after 2.5 seconds have passed. .

W- Spectre Mana Cost: 50 + X Cooldown: 20/18.5/17/15.5/14 seconds

  • (passive): If Senna falls below 30% of her maximum mana, the cooldown for Phantom Light is halved.
  • (active): Senna channels her energy, converting mana into power. Senna depletes her mana reserve as she channels. Channeling ends when either of 3 scenarios occur. A- Senna runs out of mana. B- Senna takes damage, or is targeted by a spell or an ability. C- Senna reactivates Spectre.
  • When channeling is terminated, Spectre goes on cooldown, and Senna becomes empowered. Senna's next basic attack or damaging ability attack deals a bonus +20/30/40/50/60 +.25 per mana stored.
  • Senna automatically stores 50 mana upon casting this ability.
  • Senna will only remain empowered for 5 seconds before losing power. If Senna loses empowerment, 50% of the mana stored is restored and she gains +50% mana regen for 5 seconds.

E- Phase Mana Cost: 55/65/75/85/95 Cooldown: X + 5 seconds

  • (passive): Upon casting an ability, Senna imprints to her current location. The imprint will remain for 10 seconds, or upon casting another ability.
  • (active): Senna blinks to her imprint. Senna restores 50/55/60/65/70% of the health and mana lost since the imprint was created. Once Senna blinks to her imprint, Senna's abilities don't create another imprint for at least 5 seconds.

Ultimate- Purify Mana Cost- 100 Cooldown- 100 seconds

  • (active): Senna creates a zone of purification around her, removing debuffs and CC effects affecting her and her allies within the zone. The zone will remain around Senna for 6/8/10 seconds, and provides a shield equal to 20/30/40% of Senna's Ability Power.
  • While the zone of purification is up, Phantom Light becomes Purifying Light. -Purifying Light strikes the edge of her zone, and the zone collapses- charging the shot. The shot carries the energy from the zone, and shoots further.
  • Purifying Light acts like Phantom Light with +500% range, dealing an additional50/100/150 magic damage + an additional 5% of Senna's Ability Power (damage doubled against minions). Additionally, enemies marked by Purifying Light become silenced for the 2.5 second duration.

Thanks for reading. Now, maybe the abilities don't have to stick. But, I think escaping Thresh's lantern is a pretty cool idea. Note: Senna was "tricked" in her encounter with Thresh, and she is equal in skill to Lucian. It makes sense Senna would escape. What do you think?

Lore: great, I love it.

Passive: basically mana sustain. Might want to make a bit more impactful. How about thirding regen per stack and making it take 3 spells per stack to help her sustain in lane. Also maybe add damage or damage amplification to the empowered auto to encourage using it wisely rather then just autoing a minion to get mana.

Q: poke ability, really high CD for being only reliable damage. Really low damage and scaling. Buff this. A lot.

W: good damage if you can afford the mana. Hard to use outside of bush cheese. How about snap casting uses xx% of mana and you can move and take damage while channeling for up to 2 seconds to up to double the mana used. This way you can use it in fights and can't charge forever at fountain then to to one shot someone. Also. CD is a bit long.

E: I love this ability. Maybe lower CD at higher levels and make the heal scale by levels and maybe ap. At the moment you get nothing from leveling it. Is the imprint visible to enemies? Also, why should it fade if she runs too low on mana.

R: cool concept, lower mana cost to 100 at all levels like most ults. Maybe replace resists with an ap scaling shield so it becomes more noticeable. Also maybe add tenacity to further the whole anti cc concept. I love the aoe cleanse idea.

Play style: ? I'm thinking she would be a utility mage or maybe poke support.

Overall good. Just needs some tweaks.
