- Cost: 2500 Gold
- Recipe: Aegis of the Legion + Chalice of Harmony + 600 Gold
- 30 Armor
- 60 Magic Resistance
- 50% base Mana Regen
- UNIQUE Passive - Harmony: Grants bonus % Base Health Regen [...]
- UNIQUE Active: If out of combat, create a Base Gate in an allied Jungle location (300 second cooldown)(short channel time). Allies can pass through the Gate, but enemies cannot. You can only have one additional Base Gate at a time.
There would be five spots in the Jungle where you can create a Base Gate. Two on the blue side: the thin wall towards Wolves and the thin wall towards the River past the Tri-Brush. And three on the red side: the thin wall towards the passage behind the Inner Tower, towards Mid Lane from Red Buff, and the thin wall between the Krugs and the Bot Tri-Brush.
The Base Gate lasts forever or until you make another. You can only ever have one at a time.
Key of the Fountain offers a lot of end game power when you and your enemies are on equal foot and are fighting over Elder Drake and Baron. None of the Gates offer direct access towards these two objects (meaning not directly into their pits), but they do give you more mobility when fighting around them, or when kiting the enemies after they manage to secure one or the other. It's advisable to start teamfights around a Base Gate because your Marksman will be able to make extra use of it.
Other than in these scenarios, the item is supposed to be rather weak. If you sell the Key you lose your Gate. You can only create the Gate if you are out of combat and it takes a short while (think Zilean passive).
