The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse Skins

Well I have been wanting a bunch of reaper skins for champions because it's cool and the hoodies and such are appealing, but then I thought that maybe instead of making more reaper skins, we add a new skin line. I remembered long ago when I played a game called darksiders and really loved it's lore and the main idea of it being based off of the four horsemen. So I thought about it and decided this would be a cool end world type skin line.

**War - the first horsemen and rider of the red horse **

I have trouble with this skin because I want to give it to Hecarim, but worry the idea is too close his original design for him. Hecarim or MonkeyKing should get this skin, but I would lean towards Hecarim first.

Strife or pestilence - The rider of the white horse

This would go to Fiddlesticks clearly and suits him best. Yes the darksiders had a gun wielder, but to be more accurate with myth and lore, someone like Fiddlesticks should be the champion to get this skin.

Famine - the rider of the black horse

The rider of the black horse is famine, in the darksider t's fury, but again to fit league we will go with original lore. The champion to herald this is obviously TahmKench . No one else but him can pull it off.

This Skin goes to Yasuo . For one the rendition of death has a scarf like Yasuo does, black hair and is agile. It Fits Yasuo well and Yasuo said it best "Death is like the wind"

I can do SIon, But not york. I picked Yasuo because death is lonesome, serious, and it fits Yasuo's demeanor. Plus giving a guy about death a death skin is like giving ASol a cosmic skin, to redundant.

Probably sion, but Morde would be cool too. I didn't choose Sion at first because giving a champion about war a war skin seems redundant, but since Sion is more so frankstein then war I let it slip.

Death - Karthus or Yorick

I disagree here. They both are already death champions. It would be like giving ASol a cosmic skin. Karthus is a deathsinger and already has a grim reaper skin, giving him death the horsemen would mean 3 death skins which is redundant. As for yorick, he really doesn't fit the mold. For one he is a grave digger and would seem to be redundant to give him another death like skin. I chose Yasuo based off of the Darksiders video game and because he is the most killy champion in game. He even say "death is like the wind".

I think that yorick could have a legendary skin of this, the animations would be awesome. Also a lot of champions say stuff about death so yasuo isn't the perfect candidate. Also this could expand the yorick playrate, because even if yasuo is the most played champion riot would love to make all the champions played

Nah I disagree. I can see your logic, but karthus has a reaper skin, basically a karthus karthus skin, so he doesn't need an apocalypse skin that's why I gave it to Yasuo. Also the grim reaper isn't usually considered one of the horsemen, in lore the reaper guides the souls to the after life, sort of like the angel of death who guides the bad or the good souls always, but death the horsemen is a bad death who only comes when the seals are broken. Fiddle nor tahm have good skins, so I would give them the skins over Twitch and Sion, which idk how you got Sion anyways. Plus Tahm literally eats people, making his famine is funny and good fun. And Horseman, come on Hecarim is a bloody horse.

Sion would be a good representation for war. Look at his quotes, almost everything he says is war related. He was living for it and got resurrected for it. I can't think of someone else in the game representing war as well as Sion. The only other candidate coming close to him would be Pantheon.

TF, I guess Kitty Katarina mistook the word famine as "greed" and therefore was chosing TF here. In my opinion, you are right that Tahm Kench is the best champion for this skin.

The last one, death.... I wouldn't pick Yasuo for that skin. There are many champions in the game which are more related to death than he is. Mostly undead champions come to mind, I agree that it shouldn't be Karthus, though. Urgot (after his rework) or maybe Yorick would be my choices.

That was my interpretation why you picked Twisted Fate for the skin line, you didn't explain your choices. If I was mistaken, I am sorry. So why did you pick Twisted Fate?

I thought he had to be famine. Karthus was obviously death, Twitch is pestilence and I think you intended Sion as war. That just leaves us with Twisted Fate as famine. Why do you think he fits that thematic?

He's a gsmbler and swinder and a thief and a gypsy. He manages to cause hunger and leave people wirhout a coin with his dirty games and stuff. He is literally what causes famine, not the famine itself. The horsmen bring the csuse, they are not it. Twitch brigs the pleague. Karthus sings your death and sion wages war, same as jarvan. Underworld tf is pretty much an example of a famine skin. Tahan just eats and makes deals, so he is a bad example. Tf cam cause major famine. He can literally leave a country hungry with his tricks and stuff... ^^

Like always, this is debatable. You can see the horseman as the personification of these "curses", just like the grim reaper brings death, but is the personification of death at the same time.

So, while I still think Tahm Kench is still a viable candidate, I can clearly understand where you are coming from. With that explanation you provided, I can see Twisted Fate as the famine horse as well. Kudos to you, you phrased that pretty well.

It is hard to have an intellectual discussion with you if you just ignore arguments. =/ I admit, your interpretation is possible and therefore Twisted Fate is a candidate. But you ignored my point that the horsemen can be seen as personifications of their curse, not just the "deliverman" of it.

Kindred are the personification of death in runeterra. They bring death, but at the same time they are the very essence of death. If we accept this interpretation as legit too, Tahm Kench (and probably every void champion) would be a better personification of hunger.

Can we please agree that this stuff is up to how people prefer to see it and that there are more than one "right" way?

I thought about twitch, but twitch seems more cartoonish and I am worried it won't fit him. How you make the skin, appearance wise, on twitch would be the factor for this. Meanwhile on fiddle it wouldn't be to hard to imagine.

I would go with Yasuo and the reason being is that, aside from his demeanor in game and all that aside, Yasuo can carry a skin line. Yorick's rework hasn't changed his play rate much. He's a gravedigger, not a killer. No one wants to play a grave digger, it's not a cool image. Yes that sounds mean, but it's true.

Also as far as champions closer to the whole death theme, It would be like giving Sol a comic skin, redundant. Urgot would in no way be fit to a horseman death theme and Yorick is already a part of the death theme so I wouldn't give it to him either. Yasuo is the best choice as I see it. Death is serious, lonesome, like the wind. Everything Yasuo is.

Karthus is too close to the death theme for a Horseman skin. One he has a grim reaper skin. Giving him another death theme wouldn't do. 3 death skin's including his original? Riot wouldn't do it. They are not going to give ASol a cosmic skin right? same thing.

There are similar skins to some, but that doesn't mean the skin line shouldn't be made. Aurelion Sol is the Star creator/protector/destroyer, but we have comic skins coming out and dark star skins and star guardian skins. You have Robotic skins and project skins. This may be similar, but not exact and the skin like would be pretty popular as many have wanted an end of the world skin line.
