I have outrun a hyper speed Hecarim
But never outrun Tibbers, any chance we can tone down the bullshit?

Pick Syndra and throw Tibbers away. Either that or CC him, because he's coming for dat Ashe once you killed Annie. His health rapidly decays once Annie dies and his pathing is absolute crap due to Annie being unable to control him. You can bait him into running back and forth around turrets/walls with smart pathing. Being Ghosted doesn't allow him to pass through structures or terrain, so he's very susceptible.
I do understand the pain, however, as it is extremely frustrating to actually kill Annie and feel as if you're being "punished" by having a raging bear with a Sunfire Cape able to nearly solo kill you forcing you to run away. With some team help Tibbers should (key word, should) be able to be melted nearly instantly after Annie dies, however the damage he deals is real.
That being said, I still prefer Daisy - she's got class.

but if she gets rylais youre boned lmao
what bothers me is if tibbers is almost dead before annie dies, when she does he gets hp back. think it was like 1000
I somehow doubt that.
Dude, I've seen Hecarim's movespeed, I know this OP is lying through its teeth.
I
cant
understand
what
you
mean.
There's pretty much no counterplay to escaping an enraged Tibbers when you're on low HP. Your only saving grace there is that you have a Soraka or some shield that can magically save your butt (I'm talking about you, Yasuo.)
there is? lead the tibbers into your turret? and if u arent near ur turret, then bait out the annie stun or QSS it then burst that bitch

Baiting him to the turret isn't really a counter. That's running away hoping he doesn't kill you before than.
And half the time, tibbers kills you anyway, because I've seen a tickle-me-elmo do more damage than a turret.
... You know what, I have a question: If running away properly under a fairly large threat isn't counterplay, then what exactly constitutes counterplay for the boards? Running away isn't counterplay, counterbuilding isn't counterplay, so is counterplay being able to directly manfight and win the manfight? Is it standing your ground successfully against anything? Where is the line?

Everything under your control can be considered counterplay. There will always be an upsurge of complaints on various champions about "no counterplay" such as Lee Sin, Yasuo, etc., however most of these champions require a specific set of circumstances (or being VERY fed) to be able to "legit no counterplay" you (RIP Rush, pls come back).
I encourage everyone to check out Faker's dodging to see tons of counterplay with pure simple mechanics and reaction:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LGbSyxa_jA
Even Karthus' R has counterplay as it requires a long channel time and gives people time to prepare for it. If it was an instant-cast with no wind-up, there would be no opportunity to counterplay it. While a lot of champions (Illaoi, Karthus, etc.) generally can be seen as an "unfun" way of playing against as the counterplay is to literally run away from them at certain times, that is what is required to survive and actually have an opportunity to use your abilities. It's a similar trope to separating from a Fiddlesticks' E (or Brand R) when it is bouncing between you and your allies. These type of abilities create an effective "zone" in which you are required to play around in order to survive, lest you take massive damage. This creates a lot of pressure in an already high-pressure environment where positioning is key. If Brand pushes R on your Tank and the ADC is the only target nearby them chasing targets down, they are in for a bad time. The Tank probably won't think anything of it, as he's gotten a massive cooldown burned from the enemy mage, but the ADC positioned themselves in a spot that allows for a swift death. This is part of the reason the whole "ADCin2k17LUL" meme came from, as a small positional error will lead to an instant grey screen.
That being said, there are champions that almost REQUIRE you to build a certain way to deal with them. Malzahar and Warwick essentially guarantee the ADC will build a QSS as Mikael's doesn't remove Suppression. This is absolutely counterplay, regardless of what people want to believe. It requires you to activate an item ON REACTION to save your life. This also leads to sinking gold into an item that may or may not be useful to them stat-wise, but will ultimately save their life and devastate the enemy team who likely put themselves in a poor position to make the play happen.
So essentially, counterplay is what I think it is, and the Boards is pretty much just using the term wrong?
Alright, good. I thought I was going crazy or something because "Lee has no counterplay!" and the truth is that maybe you're in a situation in which you have no counterplay, but for most of the game he does, in fact, have counterplay. Those situations wherein you lack counterplay, though? That can happen against, well, almost anyone. Stunned by an enemy and Sion starts charging his Slam over your head? Unless you have Flash up and he mistimes his Q so he doesn't connect just before the stun fades away, you have no counterplay to that. Or if you're stunned and Sion charges you and leads that into a slam. Again, no counterplay on your end unless you have a way to cleanse stuns and a quick mobility option available. And that's freaking Sion giving you no option for counterplay in this scenario by capitalizing on a CC. Sometimes, counterplay is simply not available to you, and it sucks, but it's the nature of the game.
from what i saw on that video it looks like faker players on a very fast internet connection and uses movement speed runes. some of those dodges would be impossible without 350 movement or better and 10ms or less.
korea itself has at most 10 ms. that is a big reason ezreal is played so much there, a few ms here and there can and will fuck you over on him.
yeah, but have you seen those new league of legend style theaters? those would significantly improve local game play here in the states depending on how those are ran.
i hope other companies decide to make a few of those for quite a few pvp games. that'd be pretty sweet and a new age of arcades could be born from it.
i play on a shaky 40 ms ping myself. some people cant tell the difference of 1 ms or 5 ms, but a lot of players can. i can for the most part. my eyes are starting to go bad though so i dont know how long i will be able to detect those changes.
having more than 3 buttons on your mouse probably helps a lot too since there are about 14 keys that need to be pressed and only 5-6 are in instant reach.

"I should be able to solocarry my noob team by building cookiecutter/full damage and charging down whichever lane has the most enemies, but not if I'm Yi, Riven, or Yasuo." -Boards, 1992-Current
or fucktons of dashes
or fucktons of dashes
Sometimes that won't even help you... I speak from experience. Literally had him chase me down after using all 3 of my dashea, it's pretty insane.
Dash over a wall out of vision.
passive QQ so fucking slow
Hey, Tibbers! Come over here and give me a ride, would ya?
You aren't supposed to easily outrun him by running fast alone. Don't want an angry Tibbers aiming for your booty? Don't. Piss. Him. Off. Try killing Tibbers first, or not killing Annie, or... any kind of cc. Your lack of planning to deal with post-Annie Tibbers is not bullshit, it's you fucking up by not using the counter play available to you.
And even if he kills you in glorious revenge... at least you got to kill Annie. Unlike previously where Tibbers would come down and that was it, you were dead before you came out of the stun.
What did I just read.. Kill Tibbers first? Then Annie will kill you in the process. Kill Annie first? Tibbers will kill you after 90% of the time.
Smite?
I agree Annie is bullshit, but for different reasons.
Man you can use that sentence on preety much everything. I outran a plane, but I never outran depression. Also why does Tibbers see invisible people.
God Paw Tibbers has True Vision. Nothing escapes his fiery gaze!
Weird. I feel like I've never died or felt at all threatened by the Tibbers enrage. I feel like it's extremely easy to get away from mad Tibbers after you kill Annie.
Reading through this thread it's pretty laughable that there is a discussion about what counterplay is and people need to "learn to kill timbers first" or "just run away from timbers".
Annie is one of the most obnoxious champions there are right now and is extremely unfun to play against. She's leblanc but instead of mobility she has a damage reduction shield. Also you shouldn't be punished for killing her.
People complain about yasuo being bullshit because he barely has any window to be countered cause of his tornado zoning. Annie can near permanently have her stun up, and dare you fight her once her stun is down you can still be one shot.
Annie has weaknesses but her strengths are outweighing her weaknesses. Sure she is shortrange but once you get into that range....
She has a 53% winrate which is pretty high.
people need to "learn to kill timbers first" or "just run away from timbers".
It's generally a good idea to run away from falling trees, though.
Also you shouldn't be punished for killing her.
Murder is a serious crime, especially when it comes to children. People who murder children ought to be punished severely.
What a non-response. You're talking cryptic and making comparisons which make no sense when you talk about League.
Both killing timbers first or running away after killing annie isn't viable. The first is situational but in a 1v1 you won't have enough damage to kill him. You can't run away from timbers because he's too fast nor can you fight him because he's too strong. You need CC to deal with him
Murder is a very serious crime in the real world. League isn't the real world.
I believe Glory was making a joke, as he himself is an accomplished member of memes and games
Of course, any accomplished memer of the boards should know the heroic tale of Glory, and the tragedy of Melledoneus the wise.
Awww, shucks! You're making me blush!
Well, I'd say you're one of the most recognizable meme lords of M&G, but it's a shame that gameplay boards can't take a joke
In this case, he's from EU, so it may have been due to a language/culture barrier. Wordplay doesn't always translate well.
It was a joke. "Timber" is a phrase used when someone chops down a tree, to let people know to get out of the way. Since "Tibbers" got auto-corrected to "timbers" in your post, I was playing off of that. I continued with the murder thing to make it obvious I was joking and not just going sarcastic grammar nazi on you.
ya got memed
T I B B E R S Not timbers. That's why he said run away from falling trees. Triggeredddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
I once outran a Warwick as a very low health Sona.
That's actually quite easy as a ranged champ. If he gets anywhere close to you, just AA him and he loses the bonus movement speed. And his base movement speed is incredibly slow.
The E passive enhanced auto also does wonders in escapes, as long as your boots are anything except Mobi boots.
Hyper speed Hecarim is faster and for longer than Tibbers.
