Black Alistar

I hope that Riot might make Black Alistar more available I can't imagine how few players have this skin, let alone how many who do still play

I bring this up because of the announcement awhile back about making the Referral skins for Warwick and Twitch more available because of how completely rare and underused they are (without abusing the system) --- and now with Ali's VU on the way

why have a skin if nobody can use it right?

It is one of the rarest skins out there, but it is rare because it was only available to people who preordered content before the game went live. Gray WW and Medieval Twitch are both available in general, they were just too hard to get. Black Ali was never supposed to be for anyone other than the few people who preordered, and should stay that way.

It is sort of like this: A company gives rewards to its best salespeople, like a cruise or a nice car. however, they make the restriction so hard that nobody got it except by lying about their sales, which is the opposite of what they wanted their employees to do. As a result, they tone back the restriction so that it is hard to get, but doable under most circumstances, which enforces hard work and honesty in the employees, since their is a simple way to get it.

Black Alistar is more like this: A company is starting up, and they are trying to get people to buy stock in their Company so that they can get off the ground. In order to incentivize people to join in, they give away FREE MAZZERATTIS to the first few stock holders to join. They are ultra deluxe and limited edition, with only enough for those few original stock holder to have them, which makes them feel even more special. Imagine 5 short years down the road, that same company then says "screw it, we're RICH!" and gives every customer who ever walked into their doors access to a whole new batch of those original custom Mazzerattis. Everyone would want the super exclusive car, but then, after about a week of unbelievable sales, everyone realizes that now that everyone else owns one, it isn't special at all, and that particularly pisses off the original stock holders who then start a riot about the company in question.

And that is the story of how some skins are rare and some are less rare.
