[Champion concept] Advay, the war-torn knight
Concept Advay is a fighter torn between the two lines of blood that intertwine his fate, Demacia or Noxus? He wishes to drive through his own path. (Numbers are place holders/Guessing)
Lore Advay is the son of a Noxian elite mage who went rogue during a raid on Demacia, she married a Demacian general and they fled both of their nations the peaceful tranquility of Ionia. The couple was unaware that their village would be the next target of Noxian attack. They tried to flee the battle but were struck down in the crossfire. Advay was taken away from the battle field by a Noxian mage who knew his mother before she betrayed her nation. This man saw the boy and his natural talent for magic and took him in, he trained Advay in the ways of sorcery from a young age and treated him like he would his own child.
Advay grew up and soon became a outstanding soldier of Noxus, his strength with magic was undeniable but his distaste for the Noxian morals was always evident. One bloody battle he was commanded to execute sick children, he asked if they could be taken as prisoners of war but his superiors rejected the idea. Horrified by the prospect, he turned on his leader and obliterated him. Out of his burning hatred for Noxus he joined the Demacian military and took up a Horseman's pick as his weapon. After seeing the noble lies and corruption in the Demacia, he chose to leave for his home of Ionia. There he trained in a monastery in an attempt to distance himself from his ties with the two great nations, but he was told by his teacher that one day he must chose which side to follow, he must chose and let nothing stop him.
Abilities Demacian skills on the right, Noxian skills on the left
Passive: Demacian training / Noxian training At the start of the match you can chose between Demacia or Noxus, choosing one will change his abilities and some stats. Demacian: Range 150 Movement-speed 335 Noxian: Range 525 Movement-speed 325 Dealing damage with spells will fill up your gauge and give you the option to switch sides, upon reaching 100% your next spell will do bonus damage based on the target's current health. (5%/6%/7%)
This is the champion's main gimmick, switching sides and switching training based on what you want to do. Demacian form is a melee fighter while the Noxian is a ranged mage. (The way it would look would be like the Elementalist Lux skin panel)
Q: Helm split / Cauterize Helm split: Mana cost 50/60/70/80/90 CD 7 secs Single target Melee range Advay strikes an enemy with the pickax end of his weapon dealing physical damage, reducing their armor and slowing them. Damage: 70/85/100/115/130 (+60% AD) Armor reduction: 5/8/11/14/17 Slow: 15%/20%/25%/30%/35% Cauterize: Mana cost 100/110/120/130/140 CD 12/11/10/9/8 secs Line skill-shot 600 range Advay sends out a blast of mystical fire that does magic damage based on the enemies missing health but purging them of slows. If they are purged of a slow, Advay heals himself. Base damage: 80 (+40% AD) Missing health damage: 6%/7%/8%/9%/10% Heal: 80/95/110/125/140 (+80% AP)
The idea for this ability is to give Advay a trading tool in lane for Demacian while giving an execute for Noxus, the Demacian form lets him keep up with his enemy and boost the rest of his damage while the Noxian side is better to finish an enemy off and survive possible turret backlash.
W: Steeling resolve / Mana tap Steeling resolve: Mana cost 100 CD 10 secs AOE 350 Advay unleashes a burst of energy around him that deals physical damage and granting him a shield lasting 3 seconds. Damage: 100 (+60% AD) Shield: 80/100/120/140/160 (+30% AP +20% AD) Mana tap: Mana cost 50 CD 10 secs Single target 400 Advay launches a crest onto an enemy champion, slowing them and making basic attacks against that target grant mana and do bonus magic damage. Initial damage: 50 (+80% AD) Slow: 20% Damage buff: 10/15/20/25 (+40% AD) Mana grant: 10/15/20/25/30 (+40% AP)
The Demacian version is what you want to use in the middle of a trade or when you want to dive your opponent while the Noxian version is your reliable sustained damage against a target while allowing you to use your other stuff, also enabling the heal from your Q
E: Undaunting / Intimidation Undaunting: Mana cost 70 CD 6 Range 500 Advay sends out a wave of energy in a cone in front of him, enemies hit are damaged and deal reduced damage for 3 seconds. Damage: 70/85/100/115/130 (+50% AD) Damage reduction: 8%/9%/10%/11%/12% Intimidation: Mana cost 50 + 5 sequential casts CD 2 Range 500 Advay unleashes a pulse of energy around him with a 200 Radius and sends out a skill-shot that does damage and grants a stack of intimidation to enemies hit. If an enemy has 3 stacks of intimidation they will be feared and cannot gain intimidation for 12 seconds. Fear duration: 0.5/0.75/1/1.25/1.5 secs Damage: 50/60/70/80/90 (+25% AD)
This ability is your primary poke for Noxus while it is your absolute best dueling tool for Demacia, if you position yourself right then the damage reduction can turn around a 1V2 or make a team-fight sway in your favor if the enemies are grouped together.
R: Roaring soul Mana cost 100 CD 120/90/60 Duration 10/11/12 secs Advay lets out a battle cry gaining movement speed, Tenacity and slow resistance, in addition to being able to switch freely between forms by reactivating the ability. Movement-speed: 20% Tenacity: 30% Slow resistance: 30%
Advay chooses to carve his own future and use both sides of his training, with this you can chain your abilities to stick to targets or sustain like hell by rotating through the shields damage reductions and heals.
I've been trying this concept for awhile and when I saw the new Lux skin I thought: "Wait, hitting with abilities to gain charge? That would be so much cooler and easier than just waiting an awkward amount of time!" I'd like some thought on him, numbers most likely need to be tweaked in order to balance him but I thought the general theme was a good idea. So what do you guys think? I'd love some feed-back for number changes or maybe some ability tweaks to make it feel more unique and fluid.
