A grumpy old man looking to show that kickin' it old-school is way better than this new-age Piltie nonsense. Like the racist uncle at thanksgiving. He's into the old fashion crafts like hammering a sword to perfection rather than cooking up some weird scissor leg laser rubbish. In his eyes there's no need for magic and science to be together, magic has been reliable since the dawn of time whereas science has new screw-ups every day. He's designed to be a tanky jungler who excels at diving as well as being adaptable in different situations.

Passive: Master piece Iaraan gains inspiration and materials from each champion, turret, or epic monster he assists in the killing of. Champion assists and kills give 1 point, and assisting in the kill of an epic monster or turret gives 2. These points can be exchanged to craft an item or upgrade an item. Can only be crafted once and cannot change upgrade paths. Items:

Work in progress: worth 1 point 100 + 20 per level health 5 + 2 per level damage

  • Attack branch

Elegant blade: Worth 2 points + Work in progress 100 + 20 per level health 10 + 2 per level damage Unique passive: Damaging an enemy with basic attacks grants 3% attack speed for 5 seconds (Stacking up to 5 times on the same target)

Shamshir: Worth 4 points + Elegant blade 100 + 20 per level health 14 + 2 per level damage 20% attack speed Unique active: Gains 5 damage for each item you have for 5 seconds. (60 second cooldown)

  • Utility branch

Runic armor: Worth 2 points + Work in progress 150 + 20 per level health 5 + 2 per level damage Unique passive: Gains 20% Tenacity and slow resistance after 2 seconds in combat, lasts for 5 seconds. (20 second cooldown)

All-Terrain Armor: Worth 4 points + Runic armor 150 + 20 per level health 5 + 2 per level damage Unique passive: 30% Tenacity and slow resistance

  • Defense branch

Sturdy pauldron: Worth 2 points + Work in progress 200 + 20 per level health 5 + 2 per level damage 20 armor 20 magic resist

Sacred armor: Worth 4 points + Sturdy pauldron 350 + 20 per level health 5 + 2 per level damage 20 armor 20 magic resist Unique passive: Gain 50% bonus armor and magic resistance after being in combat for 4 seconds, lasts for 3 seconds. (70 second cool down)

Extra item slot: 15 points

Q: Use your back Mana cost: 60/70/80/90/100 CD: 10 Iaraan empowers his next basic attack to do a might down swing that deals 50/60/70/80/90 +(60% AD) physical damage in an area and flattening the primary target (shrinking their model size) for 1/1.5/2/2.5 seconds. Flattened targets are 50% more susceptible to slows below 70%. (So it'd turn a 20% slow into a 30% slow, a 50% slow into a 75% slow etc.)

W: Rusted nails Mana cost: 60 CD: 12/11/10/9/8 Scatters nails in an area that deal 60 + (55% AD) physical damage to enemies hit and slows them by 20%, enemies that walk in the nails take 10/15/20/25/30 + (30% AD) physical damage for each half second they spend inside it. Lasts for 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds.

E: Counter armor Mana cost: 80 CD: 12 Iaraan adapts his armor for incoming assaults and shields himself for 80 + (5/7/9/11/13% max HP) for 4 seconds, when he is struck by a basic attack within 200 range his armor will knock the attacker back 200 units over 0.5 seconds. Cannot occur on the same enemy twice in one duration.

R: Welding souls Mana cost: 150 CD: 90/75/60 Iaraan leaps towards an enemy champion within 600 range and slams on them with his hammer dealing 150/200/250 +(100% bonus AD) damage and binding them to a nearby enemy champion for 2.5 seconds, during this time they cannot move farther than 375 units away from each other. If there are no other enemies nearby the target is tethered to where they were hit and cannot move more than 500 units for 1.5 second.

Voice responses Pick: “I suppose I have time to kill.” Ban: “Fine, would be a waste of time anyways.”

Starting a game: pops neck “Down to business” “I require more inspiration.* “Kids these days, always in such a rush.” “What shall we craft today?”

Movement: “Did I leave the smelter on?” “On it.” “I’m my own boss.” “Forge your own path.” “Just thinking about these lasers and science is making my head hurt.” “Too complicated, back to the simple.” “You’re overthinking it.” “So many better things I could be doing, like making a better suit of armor.” “What was that? I was thinking about something better.” “Magic has existed for eons and never failed, science is practically a baby sprawling to get on its feet.” “Magic and metal, the only mistake is operator error.” “Let’s get crafty.” “Progress? Towards what, death?”

Attacking: “Squash!” “Such pathetic armor.” “I’d craft you a better suit if you had the money.” “Maybe I don’t need a war hammer.” “Feh, kids, so quick to die.” “Take care of your armor!” “Really? A bag of potatoes has better defense value than you.” “Ya got a warranty on that?” “Awh, they think their armor is decent!” “I could forge a door more threatening than you!” “Speak up welp!” “Am I getting rusty? Nah.” “Need to be careful to not throw my back out.”

Taunt “Another nail in your coffin.” “Time to scatter the embers.” “You’re a living anvil!”

Taunting an opponent with an over-sized weapon “Have you even HEARD of counter balance?” “Gah, so unwieldy!” “W-Whubba-ibiedit…..WHY?”

Taunting someone with little clothing “You could use some armor, want me to make you some?” “Do you know what armor is? Or is it the new cool thing to die?”

Taunting a Zaun champion “Pah, savages have nothing on me.” “So primitive, so….disgusting.” “Nothing good comes from Zaun, except maybe the deaths of idiots.”

Taunting a Piltover champion “Blah blah blah progress! Whatever.” “Why do you need to put a gun on everything?” “All your science numbers and whatnot is gonna melt your brain!” “When are you gonna learn that you just can’t beat old school?” “Heh, greeny thinks they can outdo my craftsmanship?”

Taunting Aurelion sol “You don’t use a hammer and you’ve got no anvil, what kinda smith are you?”

Jokes “You wanna hear a joke? The IQ of Noxians.” “You wanna hear a joke? Zaun….all of it.” “So a Yordle, a Noxian, and a Demacian walked into a bar. The Piltie ducked.”

Upon crafting Work in progress “On our way to greatness.” “I’m still trying to figure out what direction to take this.” “Don’t worry little guy, you’ll be great in time.

Upgrading Work in progress “Isn’t she beautiful?” “Marvelous, not perfect, but pretty good.” “You’re still growing.”

Upgrading to tier 3 item “My latest master piece!” “Isn’t she gorgeous?” “My magnum opus!”

Gaining an item slot “I’ve always been a packrat.”

Using Q “Put your back into it!” “Get down!” “Stay down!” “Little bit more oomph!” Using Q on a Yordle “Bit-sized now ain’t’cha?” “Look, you’re pint-sized now!”

Using W “Watch your step.” “Oops, dropped something.” “Keep running, I dare ya!” “Put your foot down.”

Using E “Bring it on then!” “Come at me pleb!” “Fight me!” “The best defense is a good offense!”

Using R “Stick to it!” “All life can be reforged!” “Come on, stay a while!” “Have a little bonding time!”

Using R on Xayah and Rakan “I now pronounce you dead and deader.”

So I am going to drop a nifty review here on this concept. The last time I did a review has been a long while. Sense you were wanting feedback I might as well try to see what I can come up with.

Innate Being a black smith I would figure he would create weapons. Having a point system based off of assists is a good way to go about it. Seeing that he doesn't start off with it means that he has to work to get his materials to begin. Though there is something that concerns me about the created items. That being the +damage on them. Does this mean that he gets an additional flat amount of damage on all of his abilities and attacks? Cause their isn't anything like that on any items within the game. As for the items themselves I don't think any of them are bad. Most of them have unique effects. Though I would try to revamp the utility tree if anything. When I think utility, I think of something that helps the team. Instead you have more of a tank stat. Plus going giving health for utility puts it on the lower end of the three. Cool down reduction is a stat you should try to think about when you do utility.

Q A fantastic ability I want to say right off the bat. Having an ability that not only increases the effectiveness of slows and even shrinks model size hasn't been seen yet. Though the ability itself is a little on the weak side. Mainly due to duration and damage. My recommendation is to give the model shrink a flat duration that way it is consistent. Other then that it is a fine ability.

W Such an odd one right now. Not in context of how it works or thematically, though of one thing in particular. Mainly the initial damage from it doesn't scale with rank. All abilities if they do damage should have an increase in damage over all with rank. Cause late game, this will hit like a wet paper towel even on squishy targets. Now the utility granted from it is fine as it provides a damage slowing zone. Though I just hope who ever is in it doesn't get tetanus from the nails.

E I love the idea of this ability. Having armor that literally knock a target back if they attempt to smash their weapons against it. Honestly its pretty cool and the added shield is even adds to his survivability. Though you have the same problem as the W being that the base shield doesn't scale per rank. Something that should probably be fixed.

R Now this ultimate ability is something that is pretty cool as well. While this is a fine ability, I feel as though it doesn't belong on this type of character. Thematically you have this blacksmith champion and then out of nowhere he is able to manipulate people's souls? The ability just doesn't belong on the character I feel. You should think of revamping the ult to reflect the character. That is my advice.

Overall You have the basic premise for the champion that you want. Though I feel like there is a lot of work that could be done here. Like for the innate passive for instance, you have the items there for one thing. Have you ever thought of having each item effect his own abilities? Having something like that would make the kit feel more akin to him then just giving him random passives from his created items. With that you can revamp the basic abilities to really make his item creation choices have more impact on his playstyle. The only thing is that the ultimate should be revamped in a way that fits his 'blacksmith' persona. Hopefully this makes sense.

This little review wasn't my best. I seem to have lost my edge when it comes to reviews, but I hope this helps none the less. Anyways don't take anything I said to heart, it was not meant to be hurtful. ^_^
