Aatrox rework concept (No numbers, just concepts)
So right now a lot of the complaints about Aatrox is that he doesn't really feel like a demonic war-lord that swings the tides in the favor of the losing army. I felt like he deserved something that rallied his team as well as let him pick his target and kill it before moving onto the next priority.
Passive: Blood well When using an ability that costs Health, Aatrox stores the self-inflicted damage into the Blood Well. Upon taking fatal damage, Aatrox extracts the blood from the well and recovers it as Health over a brief duration. At the end of the duration Aatrox lets out a demonic battle cry that inspires all nearby allied units (Minions, Champions, even Tibbers) granting them Lifesteal and spell-vamp for a short period of time
Q: Ravaging lunge Aatrox uses his wings to propel him forward, enemies he passes take damage and are slowed while those inside the area he landed on get knocked into the air and are marked for a short period after they land. Attacking marked targets consumes it and grants Aatrox a burst of movement-speed and phase.
W: Blood thirst / Blood price Unchanged
E: Tormenting strikes Passive: Attacking an enemy champion gives Aatrox one stack of Tormenting blows granting armor penetration against them, upon reaching 4 stacks he can use the active side more stacks increases the damage of the active portion Active: Aatrox flourishes his blade and releases energy in a circle around him that damages enemies while rallying allied Non-champions with increased Attack speed.
R: Raze the battle field (Or just Raze but the longer one sounds cooler ^_^) Aatrox glows with demonic energy and his basic attacks for the duration rush him to the target and strike a weak point, casuing the target to bleed and thus fill up his well.
The idea here is a super sticky commander who focuses down his target before quickly switching to the next threat, I like the idea of a demon flying through the battle field taking out key enemies to turn the tide for his weaker comrades. His passive change was more to fit with the theme of being a general inspiring terror in those on death's door while the game-play side helps him stay alive after he re-spawns considering I see a lot of Aatrox players get bursted down as soon as they come back.
. I truly believe that Aatrox's "niche" as a champion should be that he's a drain tank that functions better with teammates who he can inspire. I actually had an idea earlier about what could be done with him: ALL of his abilities could scale like Irelia's passive, but with allied champions instead. The only thing I would worry about if that were the case is that he would either have to be undertuned a LOT when he's solo, or be SUPAH OP with no items as long as his whole team was with him. Thoughts?
