NEW CHAMP CONCEPT: Cah'Zehr, the Avatar of Avians
So... I got hella weird idea for a champ. I've never seen anything REMOTELY like it, lorewise or kitwise, so I don't know if y'all will like it or think it's trash. Enjoy fellas.
LORE: Cah'Zehr was the product of some VERY ambitious chem-barons of Zaun. Some of these chem-barons' minions had found, by some strange luck, two disks of raw void matter. After hunting down and testing on some smaller voidborn, (with minor casualties,) they were able to determine that these disks--or, the material they were made of--were void creatures' source of life. Essentially, their heart. It's said that they traveled all the way to the mythical Icathia in order to find the metal to build Cah'Zehr. They needed something that could contain the void. Contain, harness, and control it. Create the first artificial voidborn--an ultimate killing machine. You couldn't simply put a heart in a stone and make it live. No, a heart need a body. And a body is what the chem-barons didn't have. So they set out to find raw metal from the void--which they found. Cah'Zehr was ready. His hollow shell was constructed, with two slots for the void hearts, and a small window to his insides that allowed them to see inside him, to understand the inner workings of a void creature. They were about to place the hearts into him, simultaneously, when a freak chemtech explosion destroyed the entire lab, and all of its contents. Except for Cah'Zehr. The material he was made out of was not just a vessel for the void. It could be a vessel for anything. And, after the wreckage cleared, it awoke. "I... need... a host..." it whispered to nobody. It realized the two peculiar slots on his back, pondered them for a second, and then wandered off. It needed to know--what belonged in those slots?
He had been wandering a few weeks. Many saw him, many questioned him, and many were surprised to hear him say "do you know... what... goes here?" He traveled quite the distance. Eventually, he made it into the remote forests of Ionia, where few humans set foot. That's where he found the festival. The festival of wings. It was a festival for a population of mystical, half-human, half-bird creatures. Cah'Zehr had never heard of wings or birds in his travels, so it came as quite a shock. But then he realized something. Among the dancing Vastaya, among a multitude of large and small birds... He saw wings. Wings everywhere. And they went on your back. He walked through the crowd, annoying some, confusing some more, and surprising all. He walked up to a large fountain, covered by small birds of all kinds. "I... have... a host..." Cah'Zehr spoke, and gently cupped his hands around one. It was a dove, fragile and beautiful. He gently placed it, chittering rapidly, within his body. And then he felt an awakening. You see, this strange, rare, host-needing material nourishes its inhabitants in exchange for their powering of it. "I HAVE A HOST!" Cah'Zehr shouted, and everyone heard him. But it was strange--he had wings inside of him, yet he didn't have wings. "I... need more?" He asked, surprised. He thought of birds as an exhaustable resource for their wings, not living organisms. He rapidly collected more and more birds into himself, not understanding the morals of this whatsoever. "HEY!" One of the vastaya, a handsome young man with fiery hair and single golden wing, exclaimed, "what the hell are you doing?" "Yes..." one of the elder vastaya, dark-haired and broad-shouldered, "please explain yourself. This is ridiculous, and completely out of hand." Cah'Zehr had no idea what was going on. They were becoming furious, and slowly closing in on him. That's when he felt a rising presence inside of him. It was warm---and then he understood. And the birds understood him. He wasn't a living birdcage, and they were no longer birds trapped in a cage. They had become one. So the birds sang. From his metal shell, a cacophony of beautiful voices rose up, sweeping over the entire festival. The birds sang of freedom, and happiness, and pleasure. They sang so beautifully that more birds rapidly flew into Cah'Zehr, filling him to the brim. The Vastaya only looked on in shock. And then, as a final centerpiece, two massive, angelic wings sprouted from the being's back. And he joined the song, so loud and powerful, that every Vastaya, human, and bird knew, even after a minute or so, when his wings slowly vanished back into his body... Cah'Zehr had arisen. He left the festival, in search of expanding his already massive collection. It came with a price, however. He would defend these creatures with his life. He would serve them for the rest of eternity. That's why none of the Vastaya intervened.
VISUAL APPEARANCE: Cah'Zehr is a massive, Xerath-ish shaped vessel, made out of plates of dark gray metal. He has large legs and arms, made of the same metal. He has a large, diamond-shaped piece of glass across his chest, and two slots on his back, and through these holes you can see he's full of birds flapping around. In fact, the plates of his body are almost bursting apart, with feathers sticking out.
BASE STATS: (Note: If my base stats or ability stats seem unfair, just imagine them with fair stats.) Health: 530 Mana: 500 Attack Range: Melee Attack Damage: 62 Attack Speed: .72 Movement Speed: 345 Health Regen: 10.14 Armor: 25 Magic Resist: 30
SKILLSET:
Passive: Birds of a Feather Every 10 seconds, a bird appears at a random location within 1000 units of Cah'Zehr, which disappears after 30 seconds. If any ally champion goes within 100 units of it, they collect it and gain 2 permanent maximum health, and Cah'Zehr gets 3 health from each bird stack he collects. (The bird max health bonus is what I'm most worried about. Again, if it doesn't seem balanced, imagine these numbers higher or lower.)
Q: Void-Steel Vanquish Type of Abilty: Enhanced Basic Attack Mana Cost: 50/60/75/90/110 Cooldown: 8/7/6/5/4 Cah'Zehr's next basic attack does 20/45/70/120/150 +50% AP bonus magic damage and knocks back the target 100/110/120/130/150 units for every 200 current health they have (minimum of 100 units, maximum of 1000/1100/1200/1300/1500.)
W: Coo Type of Ability: Ground Skillshot Mana Cost: 30/40/50/60/80 Range: 700 Cooldown: 15/13/11/8/5 After a .1 second delay, Cah'Zehr calls down a dove at a target location, charming all champions within 300 units towards it for 1/1.15/1.4/1.6/2 seconds. The dove is a collectible bird.
E: Flight of Fancy Type of Ability: Stat Boost+Enhanced Basic Attack Mana Cost: 50 at all ranks to activate and 10/15/20/25/30 mana per second after activation Cooldown: 25/23/20/16/10 Passive: When Cah'Zehr has above 100 BONUS movement speed, his next basic attack pulls him 100 units towards the target, +1 unit for each 1 point of bonus MS. Active: All of the birds within Cah'Zehr begin to fly, giving him +10%/15%/20%/25%/30% bonus movement speed until deactivation, plus 1 extra movement speed for each bird stack collected, for a maximum of 10 seconds. It also provides immunity to roots. Ending the ability causes him to smash down on the ground, slowing all enemies within 300 units by 50% for two seconds and dealing 50/60/70/85/100 +10% AP magic damage to affected units. His next attack causes him to automatically end the ability. Additionally, while in flight, a bird drops down out of Cah'Zehr every 3 seconds, which can be picked up after 3 seconds.
R: Song of the Many Type of Ability: Point-Blank Area of Effect Mana Cost: 100/150/200 Range: 450 Cooldown: 150/110/70 Cah'Zehr channels for 1 second as his birds begin to sing. Enemies within this ability's range during the channel are charmed for its duration, and Cah'Zehr gains 20/30/50% damage reduction during the channel. When the channel is completed, Cah'Zehr sprouts massive wings, becomes untargetable, and lets forth a beautiful note. Enemies caught in its range take 50-200/150-300/250-400 +50% AP magic damage (taking more damage the closer they are to Cah'Zehr) and are knocked back to the edge of the ability's range. A cluster of 2/3/4 birds appears at the location of each affected champion, and 1 bird appears at each affected minion or monster.
PLAYSTYLE Cah'Zehr is a very strange champion with many different ways of being played. He could be a support, letting his ADC take birds and using his myriad of cc's to lock down targets. As a support he'd definitely run Talisman of Ascension for the bonus range on his E's passive. He could also be played a full-tank top laner, stocking up on birds, preparing to rush into battle with his E and create mayhem with his R. His Q is an amazing tool for peel against higher health targets, and lower health targets will stay closer for an easy kill. His E's passive is interesting. Even Boots of Mobility can activate it. When his E is active he gains massive amounts of movement speed, allowing you to pull yourself in from a long distance and slow everyone with your E's active. I can even see him played as a Galio-style AP mid laner, as his Q, E, and R all do good amounts of magic damage. His main weakness is high mana costs. Lastly, his E is the first infinitely-scaling movement speed steroid in the game, so in the late game he'll be able to engage from very long distances in a matter of seconds. This is a very useful tool for a cc-based tank.
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL... HERE ARE SOME QUOTES!
